Thanks! We are super excited and being on the land really helps to see where we might want things to go. It is a super neat process and we are just taking it all in and enjoying the ride.
Congrats! May I ask what this property had that the ones in AZ did not? Asking because I am looking in AZ and have zero knowledge on where to start etc. Thank you and happy for you guys!
Thanks for watching! The first thing this property had that AZ did not was community. Next, was the price per acre and water. These are all HUGE deciding factors for us. Good luck on your property hunting journey. I hope you find what you are looking for!
Congratulations!!! We just moved from AZ to land in MO last year. We didn’t get raw land tho we really wanted it. But we’re so happy to have made the move and loving it! Looking forward to seeing your journey!! 😊❤
Looks pretty awesome. Your neighbors are sure into the farm animal thing. Chickens and eggs and crops but I couldn't handle killing and butchering animals. I would get attached to them. Yes I like KFC and Long John Silvers. A fish pond and smoking fish would be awesome. A barndominium would look great there. Have fun!
I am attached to them but we need to eat. There is a part of the farm life I will have to get used to and living, dying, and being a food source are all part of it. It is an honor to be in charge of animals and know we are giving them the best life and that they, in return, give back to us. There is real blessing in all of it.♥︎

@@americanrootsfarm Not me. Don't get me wrong. When it comes to Apex predators like bears, if they wonder around my place, knocking on my door, they're either tagged and removed far away or killed and the same with wolves. At this stage in my life, I don't want to deal with slaughtering animals other than taking chickens eggs, making fresh bread, growing vast crops of everything, potatoes, corn, melons, pumpkins, fall vegetables like broccoli, carrots etc. Even strawberries. You can freeze a lot of these. I'd make a lake there as big as I could and stock it with good fish to eat with a dock. Even in the New Testament, fish was the main meat along with vegetables and bread. Much healthier eating than red meat. Your neighbor put me off. Any ways congratulations on your land purchase and your construction of your new home. Take care.
