One of the best if not the best. Those were the glory days of karate.

He is surely a great teacher... But in the world most teachers are not like this guy... But there are more teachers today and some of them are fantastic! Just in the US you have Machida, Paul Enfield, Rick Hotton... These are some of the best... I guess there are many others I don't know. Morio Higaoona was teaching in the US for years...

Jamming the kick. I was never taught that . But always imagine a move like that. More than smart man with a plan

I learned that from him at a seminar. I missed him three times with sidekicks as he slid back. I decided to throw the 4th kick deeper and he rush ran through it. At that moment I was really glad it was just a seminar. That was about 40 years ago in Christiansburg Va.

Trash karate stances easily destroyed that's why you don't see this garbage in k1, glory, Burmese boxing or Thai boxing

Hey Jeff Semper Fi! 3/7 checking in here. Small world, I am currently taking classes from Grandmaster John Graham, who trained with and was good friends with Joe Lewis. Master Graham is also a former Marine. I feel like we always kind of find each other you know?

@nicholasgreen339 I'm pretty sure Joe mastered these concepts from participating in many competitions, something Bruce didn't do. Plus, anyone and everyone who practices any kind of sparring will absolutely have to learn movement and timing in one form or another.
