I worked after watching a video today. thank you!! 토러스 2열 작업시 등 탈거후에 전면 투명 프라스틱 탈거 전구 탈거, 눈알? 같이 생긴 등은 뽑기가 안좋아서 전구에 케이블 타이 100mm 얇은 것으로 잡아서 롱로우즈로 잡아뽑고 led 전구 교체 후 등이 안꺼져서 470옴 저항을 각 ㅣ개씩 납땜 해주니 잘 꺼지고 하네요^^ 참고하세요^^
My 2011 Ford Fiesta has the same housing as your Taurus; I used the Philips 194LED and did not have to use a resistor. All three lights go off when arming the security system. But your video was very very helpful on other aspects of the LED upgrade. thanks!
Replaced all interior to leds on my 2010 Limited and after completing my two front map lights and dome light behind my sunroof stayed dimly lit. I added one resistor to dome light and it fixed all the dimly lit lights.
I have a 2015 Ford Taurus SHO, I'm looking at upgrading a few interior lights as well as my license plate lights to LEDs. Do you know if I should use a canbus LED or not?
just completed mine, works great, I replaced all lights with LED even the trunk, I do get a little noise when they power down(as they dim off) though, like crackling but very subtle.
When you put the resistor in should it touch the copper on the bulb or in the socket?? I've been trying to get the two bulbs on the ends to work without any success..

Patrick, it was a real pain in the ass to actually position the resister. I had to trim it down and use a small pair of plyers to get the bend tight enough and almost force the bulb in. It was tight, but just make sure the resister contact did not slip when reinstalling the bulb.
+Christopher Berkman I've tried many different was to wrap this resister around the bulb, I even jammed it behind the contacts on the fixture. It is still not fixing the issue, I'm curious if the led type may be a factor.
+Christopher Berkman I've checked the ohms with meter and it appears the resister has good contact, even doubled up with no improvement. not sure how you guys did it, but for now I may need to put the oem bulb back in.
Patrick, The bulbs that I used are 194 LED Light bulb, Yorkim® 6th Generation, Non-Polarity,12V Lights for 168, 2825,T10 5-SMD LED Bulb, (Pack of 10) . I got them on Amazon. I will pull my light and see exactly what I did. I will also get some pictures of my assembly.
Mine will not work. I bought the correct resistor, installed the way you said, but still not working. When you place the resistor in, should it comtact the bulbs wire, or should it not contact the metal inside the housing. PLEASE HELP..
The resistor contacts should make contact with the same contacts as the bulb. Think about it like you are installing two bulbs in the same socket. You are trying to create the load a stock bulb does so adding the resistor to the LED will do that.
Thanks for this video, I made the mistake of getting the color changing led lights that got a remote and they was a bit tight to go in and now I got a issue with front passenger bulb not working, and casing the trunk light to not work and the middle vskc light took Forver to figure out wish I would've seen this first but now I need both fixtures new I'm pissed over their design
Yes use the 1/2 ones. I had my two front map lights and center dome light staying dimly lit when off and i added one resistor to my center dome and it corrected all 3 dimly lit leds… i know this is a year later answer but this is for anyone else who looking for answer
+Austin Archambault I just did it on my 2011 Ford Fiesta, it has the same housing and bulbs. For the plastic cover, just prime it along the edge with a flat screwdriver.

Ok I bought the ones that are rgb with remote installed in front and omfg. They work when the main switch is on then power button pushed then when off they dim then flicker then off, I was pissed, so I need tk buy all new bulbs but walmsrt wants $8 a bulb!

wassup. does it matter what type of Sylvania bulb you use? one says Zevo with the description "off-road use only", and one in particular says LEDriving on the package.
@@ThatsCeez disregard the "off road use only" disclaimer. You are fine using them inside your car. I have Zevo interior lights in my 2012 F-150 and its fine. No issues.
Same happened with mine while trying to get the resistors to work properly, middle dome light wouldn’t turn on anymore, did you have to purchase a new assembly all together?

berkman, I used the resister you recommend. Unfortunately it did not solve the problem, did you have to do anything tricky to make this fix happen?

lol just had this issue tonight, I left the stock bulb in for now and am keeping the spares with me until I can do this.

Guess Ford like to have fun with us..i pulled out the housing not realizing the clips damaged the small notch that holds it in place...
