I disagree - this format basically sorts the brothers from cheapest to most expensive. Naturally the more expensive bros are gonna be loaded with better stats. Looking at quality for price is a more practically applicable approach since naturally you’ll be buying more expensive backgrounds later into the game.

The only thing I disagree is the Vagabond. He has shockingly high fatigue and can be similar to a Farmer. I currently have one as a battle forged dmg dealer who max rolled 115 fatigue to start. I’ve also had 2 other ones in other runs. I say A tier.
I had a 12 man hostile merchant band following me and I led them into a smallish undead camp with "Many Armoured Wiederganger and a few geists". The entire merchant group with their shiny gear was murdered LOL
This format for a background tier list is very good. Covering the stages of the game is a good approach.

They are good to Gamble on if you have the money
Oathtakers are for fat newt BF dodge, high ini and low fat means they will never loose the bonus from dodge
You can also give them Brawny and make them Zerk Frenzy which has a way higher cealing Lategame with way more Potential than BF Neutral

I don’t think you’ve made a very useful list. You’ve basically sorted the backgrounds by cost with a few notable exceptions.
Its a List for newer Players to the Game and it Highlights what i recruit most of the time
