Keep the podcasts coming please! I followed your full repricer tutorial of 6+ months ago and used your suggested settings for Books. Just curious if you’re still using those same RepriceIT settings. Thanks.
Thanks. I'm kind of new to this subject. How do I know if I'm buy box eligible for all of my FBA books? Perhaps I should just leave it the way you initially suggested...keep it on lowest fba price. I don't know what that means if I'm buy box eligible for all of my inventory. I of course can't expect you to explain everything here. My numbers are down for the past week... don't know why...should I book a coaching call to get an answer on this? Thanks.
Thanks so much Mike. Your info is so helpful and I appreciate your response. I got a look at your Discord. It’s worth that minuscule price to get more feedback when I may need it. Got to do it. I saw your video on buy box eligible thanks so much. One last question please. I checked the column after I fixed the preferences, and half of them say yes, and half of them say no so can I match to the buy box since half say yes or if half of the books say no must I still do the lowest price? I’m guessing I could just go for matching the buy box and hoping to increase my sakes,Please let me know. Thanks.
Thanks so much Mike! I signed up up for the 30 day trial this morning. It is up and running, within the first hour after it repriced everything for the first time i had a sell.
Hey Bro. I just came across your video. You totally talked me into repricing. I've been selling FBA for about 2 months now. I've gotten some sales and even got $400+ payout already. However, things have started to slow down. I went into Seller Central on my computer and realized they were telling me that 500+ items could use a price change. That's when I went looking on TH-cam and came across your video. Great video and really understandable. Sighted up after listening to this video for only about 10 minutes. So I've got the 30 day trial. I have over 900 books. So let's see how thing change. I've only been averaging 1 or 2 sales a day over the last couple of weeks, of which toping out at $40ish total sales each day. So now we wait. But definitely wanted to say THANK YOU for the walkthrough. It was a HUGE help.
Glad I could help and definitely keep me posted on the change in sales. Everyone seems to get a nice little boost once the repricer is rocking and rolling for them. If you ever need anything reach out also make sure to WRITE IT OFF for tax purposes!!!
I missed the first part of the video. Gonna start over shortly. Just wanted to say thanks for the help. Will have my second box of books going out next Monday. Will be listing them tomorrow.
No problem and chat wouldn't let me respond. The repricer will reprice once your books are live to sell so you will be in prime position to get the sale. Let me know if you need anything and keep on sending in them boxes 👊
I like your style! I think I know who the gurus are who suggests waiting but a lot of times when I'm the 5th cheapest like some have said, next thing you know I'm like down at the bottom.
Appreciate it!! Funny I was talking about this today on the Zoom Call. Listing at 2nd in line you may always be 2nd in line if others keep hoping on the listing and you never wind up selling the book!!
I kinda wish you had gone into further detail as to why not to use the intelligent pricing algorithm. Why is it a bad option? Are there specific examples of what it does that necessarily hurts your business? The more information we have the better decisions we can make.
I just signed up for RepriceIt and followed your video to help get me through the process. I will be checking out your other videos for other info. Thank you so much! Will update with my numbers when the books start flying off the shelves. I haven't used a repricer before and I have about 350 books and will be adding many more in the near future as I just bought 20,000 books from an estate sale and there are a lot of $$$ makers. Thanks again!
@@TheUsedBookGuy I was Buy Box eligible then got a bad review so I don't have it now. The item was not a book and even though I made it right with the person they would not retract the review. Just have to work my way back to the Buy Box. My sales had started going up then have stalled out but there seems to be a trend in slow sales right now. I'm patient and am in this for the long haul so it will all work out. Thanks again. I will post an update as things change.
@@TheUsedBookGuy I've been an fba pro seller and follow all of your advice. I'm about to hit 1 month, have 3 5star reviews, sold 52 books so far (avg 2/day), have 900 high eScore books in stock, but am not buy box eligible for any books yet. What was your experience like?
Thanks soooo much Mike. I've had RePricit since I started a few months ago. I changed several of my settings to match yours because your explanations made so much sense. Looking forward to see what, if any, difference it makes!
Just set it up and its running, Let see how this works, I was going to use a few months back, But chicken out. You make it so much easier to under stand. I have 450 MF books I want to build a template too> Next setting my SIQ to DVD's, Saw I truck load of DVD at these Garage sales over the weekend. Thanks for what you do,
Looking at Repriceit this am this way to cool. Sold two book over night, another thing I see is I actually can count just how many books I have in FBA. With that said, I need to get out and get some books. I'm down under 400. But I have a hard time keeping above 500 anyway. With Nuprice I was always repricing sold books. I quit sending in books over 1.5 sales rank months ago, Now I think I'll send some in. Thanks again
@@TheUsedBookGuy Sales very up Big time in just 24 hrs after launching Repriceit. sold 12 for $223 Plus sold 3 in MF. With repriceit I may start sending in 2.5 mil and below. I have 300 books around my feet not listed yet. Sales were so low before using Nuprice. Nothing wrong with Nuprice but who has the time to reprice every day. This is a Game Changer.
I am using Amazon repricer, it’s working fairly well for me. It reprice not only to lowest price but it also reprices up. I didn’t believe until I experience it for myself. Plus it’s included in my Amazon subscription.
Amazon's freebie doesn't even work half the time. I've set it numerous times to match the lowest Prime offer, only to come back hours later and find that the price is still the exact same as when I set it; no movement at all. Sometimes it moves the price up; other times it will leave it at the bottom for hours before moving it back up. Overall this repricer is totally undependable.
@@GoldAndSilver988 How does the Repriceit works when you have a books selling from 30 to 100 dollars, when the repricer is set to the lowest price for example $10.00?
@@baldielake3738 For high-priced books, you can either put them on the Excluded Items list and reprice them manually (this is the best option); or, you can check the box that prevents a fall in price above a certain percentage that you choose, i.e. 1%, 5%, etc. This option, however, will affect your entire inventory. The first option is best as you want to stay in total control of your high-priced inventory. Certain big sellers have proprietary software designed to-usually in the middle of the night-to plunge their own price down momentarily in hopes that your price will follow, only to immediately buy out your copy and then raise their own price right back up. This is the danger of having low minimums for high-priced books. Manually repricing these books is the only safe option.
Oh yeah it will increase your sales velocity and in turn pump more cash into the business. If you run into any headaches or questions dont hesitate to reach out!!
I’m watching this video again as I prepare to set up my repricer tonight! Thanks so much for all your helpful videos! They’ve tremendously helped me grow! 👊
@@TheUsedBookGuy Hey Mike! I need you to hold me accountable to set up my repricer before Monday. I have over 350 books in my inventory and have 125 to ship on Monday, yet haven’t set up my repricer yet. In a little mental slump (depression/ anxiety); however by telling you I haven’t set it up yet will hold me accountable. I do have daily sales, so can only imagine how much my sales will improve once I set up my repricer. I haven’t prepped the books I need to ship out on Monday yet, either. My goal is to list, prep and box them up tomorrow and ship on Monday. I definitely need to set up my repricer because my last huge shipment was received & checked in. They are shipping some to other shipment centers though. Quick question, do you have a minimum profit amount for your books, or do you base it on the ranking? I hope your tooth is feeling a tad bit better. Remember to relax and take it easy, Thinking about you and your wife. Again, so sorry for the loss of your kitty. Also, I am the Buy Box! Love this concept - turn and burn method works for me! I don’t want my inventory racking up storage fees. I’ve learned this lesson by selling other items with the retail arbitrage model. I’m enjoying books so much more! 👊📚
@@TheUsedBookGuy thanks Mike! Just wondering if that comes off my 500 listings for $9.99 a month? I don’t have a ton on there but down the road it could effect the 500 number! Hope you are having a great 4th weekend!
Have you changed your repriceit settings since this video? If so could you share those? Really appreciate all your advice and teaching. The one thing I am concerned about with these settings is the gradual .01 cent decrease if the book is slow selling. Is there a setting to not drop by .01 every time based on book sell rate other than excluding it, that would be way too much work I feel like even with 300plus inventory. Just seems like in one week I have multiple books competing with another repricer and have come down around .20 this week. At this rate multiple books will be bottoming out before they sale…thanks in advance for any help!
Thanks for this - first video I saw that actually logically broke it down. I have over 800 in inventory and decent sales but can’t see what this will do
Sure enough since I set out ran couple times (interesting moves also nice to look at my pricing accuracy or non accuracy more so) - 4 sales rolled in right away this is exciting. Do you ever redo the settings? Feels Like there should be no need - is there any maintenance on this besides periodically reviewing the reports?
Hello I copied your FBA settings thank you! What are your settings for merchant fulfillment template? I am currently using Scoutly because it has merchant and FBA.
@@TheUsedBookGuy so i let it run overnight and it worked for a good amount of books. so that's awesome. But when I go to my items not processed report, I'm getting a lot of "Too few competing 'used' offers". When I look at the item, there are clearly offers that it should undercut. Not sure why it's not working. Have you run into this problem?
Great video!!!! Thx! You mentioned excluding certain high price skus so they would not be bumped down to max price of $299.99. How to do that? Thx soooo much for your excellent content.
Hey Mike. I contacted Repriceit because they were giving me an error code and I couldn’t sign up. They responded with “the issue was resolved”. I was able to complete the sign up. I’m guessing it was an internal issue but I’m in! Thanks for your help!
how do you set your repricer settings so your listings reprice based on the lowest FBA offer and not the lowest overall offer? I put in the same settings as you in the video... isn't the goal to be the lowest FBA offer and not lowest overall offer? Maybe I'm wrong, would love your input. Thank you for the game!
With RepriceIt if you have your Used books to price only against other Used then they will not move in response to Amazon's own offer, regardless of having the "Never price above Amazon" box checked. The owner told me this himself. That's why I all the time see Used offers priced higher than Amazon's New offer. Repricing software is repricing Used against Used while ignoring the fact that Amazon has moved its own offer down lower than most of those Used offers.
It could happen but the trade off is worth it. How many old used books is Amazon hopping on the listing, not many and you should always be going in once a month to take a look anyways manually. 👊
Am I able to see the pricing changes before they are actually made? Sort of a test mode so I don't mess everything up. Also if I set my min price for $10 but I have some items that I don't want to sell for under $30 how do i handle that? Thanks Great Video!
No seeing before it goes live. You can exclude specific ASINs on the dashboard. Another thing you can do is set a percentage that it wouldn't reprice if the next lowest offer is say 10% less than your current offer.
I just started a trial subscription. Hope it is worth it. I just set up everything and sent a reprice it now command. I don't know how long it takes, waiting for a report.
@@TheUsedBookGuy Okay, about a week into it and I'm slapping myself for not doing this years ago. I had a significant increase in sales. Granted, a lot of books I had in inventory had lost value but I had never changed the price from the original listing. Also shocking to see how fast some of the items fall in price. I had a book go from $28 to $10 in a few days. Had it not been repriced, it would have still been sitting there unnoticed by myself at $28 while the others were at $10 or less. I did have some that the price went higher and sold as well, so it works both ways. For me, it is a no-brainer to have this or another repricing program. I'm glad I watched your video.
@@davidwc2675 Glad you are seeing results!! You hit it right on the head you win some you lose some Repricing either way it keeps inventory moving and cash flowing!! Keep me posted on everything as you continue to grow!!
Question. RepriceIT gives the option to set a date range. Do you use it? I set mine to let the listing run 90 days before repricing but I'm not sure if that'll help. Thanks!
Thanks Mike, set this all up this morning myself, but got an error code when authorizing the app so have had to contact support, hopefully this works in the UK too? cant see any reason why it wouldnt?
According to their website they don't support UK which sucks. When I was deciding between repricers it was RepriceIt or BQool. I looked BQool does support UK, it is more expensive but I know there are lots of videos covering it so take a look at that one. That sucks 😞
Hey Mike, DO you use reprice it for your DVD/CD's too. Getting ready to ship my first load in and I'm just trill. These places I go in my area a lot of times the Books are all ready been scan many times. But the DVD are wide open. I went into one Flea market about the size of a smaller wal-mart and scan 1500 dvd's . I though I was about done when I saw another 500 hundred in another room. that's another day. Came across several that were little scratch, went ahead and pick them up, plan on getting one of those buffers.
Yep!! So RePriceIt will go ahead and price everything in your inventory the same way it does with your books. That same template will just apply across the board for everything. Super smart of you to pivot into focusing on another category since the books are saturated in your area. The JFJ will clean up ANY DISC thing works miracles lol. Also dont sleep on the CDs lots of profit there as well!
Yay, another great video! I plan to go sourcing today. My first book shipment will be more than 200 books!!! My first week of sourcing books was AWESOME!!!! I’ll give you the total number after I return. My question is, should I wait until Amazon receives the shipment before signing up for a repricer? Also, I want to make sure this repricer only reprices books, right? I have some RA items that I’m slowly moving away from that’s still on my seller account. Don’t want those items to reprice down to $10.98. 🙂 Thanks Mike! My goal is to eventually focus solely on books. I plan to request inventory from Amazon’s warehouses soon- remove old inventory (RA) and move those items to eBay.
Yes repricer has a SKU excluder all you do it copy and paste SKU into there and it won't reprice that item 200 books is a lot good finds sounds plentiful in your area! Definitely wait to sign up for RepriceIt until shipment is delivered, don't waste the free trial for nothing. Doing just books can be very profitable and efficient once you get a system down 👊
@@TheUsedBookGuy I visited the same honey hole I found on Monday. I’m heading out now with 40 more books!!! I’m 100% switching to only books on Amazon. Thanks so much! man I've been using bqool for months, switched to repriceit following your settings and my sales skyrocketed. I used to match the lowest offer in most cases, but it seems like it's definitely worth shaving some off the price to get the sale.
Dont go around saying that out loud it will put you on the naughty list next to me!! Penny undercutter LMAO glad you are getting results and remember if you dont undercut by a penny someone else will!!
Hey! At Minute 8:40 or so, you're discussing the "Maximum number of competing offers to compare against:" section. I see your preference is 1. What is considered a competing offer? I know we're only comparing used to used - but does Repriceit consider any used book as a competing offer? Or does it compare to only FBA offers? I hope this comment makes sense, lol. Thx!
1 so that means it automatically competes against the lowest used book FBA offer for that specific book, at the top of the template we check that we want it to compare against FBA offers only. Now if that lowest offer is under your minimum price amount, it will not reprice under that amount. Let me know if this makes any sense!! 👊
what happens when you sell DVD's and books i cant set the bottom price at 10.98 that wouldnt work for the dvd's cd's and bluray's but i also cant set it low at $6 as my books would tank how do you get around this?
So how do you set the program to deal with New FBA 3rd-party offers, since Used against only other Used will not price against New FBA? It's amazing to me how many New FBA offers will often undercut the Used offers. Talk about seller desperation.
Hey guys. I have a question. I’m doing FBM. I have started with the reprice it, and i followed your instructions Mike. I have around 150 books. I have linked the amazon account. When i “repriceit now” i get the report, but when i want to look for which items were processed, and which not, there is a message “nothing found to display”. I’m doing something wrong?
@@TheUsedBookGuy thanks Mike, your advice is always important. Yes, well i’m doing just FBM now, and i have been having this issue. I will make a double check.
Honestly maybe half a percent of my inventory ever is going as acceptable. Usually if a book is that beat up I leave it at thrift store or put it in my trade in pile.
Quick question…I use your triggers on ScoutIQ where you say to input 10% off Amazon…but on RepriceIt you say to put 5% below Amazon to match your triggers (Maybe your triggers were different at the time of the video)…should I change RepriceIT to match ScoutIQ’s 10% or leave Reprice it at 5%? Thank you!
Yeah probably a mix up one thing we did change since this is instead of going off lowest FBA price we now do against buy box. That allows more items to get repriced correctly as Amazon limits information to RepriceIt when doing lowest FBA.
@@TheUsedBookGuy ok sounds good! Thanks again…you’re probably one of the few TH-camrs who actually takes the time and answers peoples questions. We all appreciate it!
I have seen some people use scanlister and repriceit to price their books. Like when scanning books the firs time into scanlister they use the same price for all the box. For example 49.99. Then when they send it to amazon they say that repriceit will re price all their books to where they need to be. This sounds awesome and saves a ton of time. But it does not seem to be working for me. Do you have any suggestion on why this might not be working or what I could be doing. I hate pricing my books. Its so time consuming but I always doubt myself as well
I give all my an accurate price when listing them the 1st time even though I use RepriceIt but I see and know what you are talking about. It could be your Repricer settings. Anything from not pricing a certain % below to other factors. Screenshot your settings and shoot me an email with the photos. wepayforyourbooks@gmail.com I will take a look and see if I see anything out of whack.
I tried to set the min price to default of 0 but it won't take it so I'm setting to 12.99. I am going to try and get them going again now. I have almost 300 in FBA. I set up more than 3 schedules per day for the app to reprice during my trial, is that ok?
Great video, really appreciate it. I'm curious about how repriceit decides to raise the price. I had a book I listed at 19.99 before I got repriceit. I got repriceit, followed your settings, let it loose, and it worked great, but it didn't raise the price of that book to around 23 dollars which is the next highest competing offer. So there is a 5 dollar gap between my listing and the next highest. When does repriceit decide to raise the price in order to compete with the next highest price? Thanks a bunch!
Could have been condition of that book. Also next time you run into this manually reprice it up to underneath for experiment purposes and reprice. See if it touches it and report back with findings. It's always good to drive deep on some items sometimes. Software is perfect and we can do some things to see exactly what is going on.
@@jackeddeals3289 It will scan any barcode but if you are sourcing media ScoutIQ is the best way to go. There are other apps as well Scoutly Scoutify. Plenty of options out there.

hello I have a question so I followed all your steps carefully but my listings are not dropping by pennies some "like new" books I have listed that were 20.00+ are now 10.00 even tho the lowest like new listing is 22.00... Help Please!
I know exactly your issue. You want to compete with the same condition as your listings. Under Repricing Mode in the template you want to check off the bubble that says Reprice my items at the lowest price by same condition or better. This should fix your issue report back with findings. I condition everything good so this option never came to my mind for a case like this. That should fix your issue.
I noticed this was from some months ago. Do you still use these triggers? Can't seem to get the buy box, been months and over 1000 great books sent in FBA. Just selling an average of 8 a day.
8 a day is decent at 1000 inventory are you sure you don't have the buy box? Yes I still reprice with these settings. I have lowered my minimum to $9.99 though to keep books that tanked in price moving.
I made a mistake I put Default Price when there are zero or very few competitive offers for a given item: 14.7 I watched your video again and that option was blank😥 Do you know if I can cancel the order and put the book back on sale?
ok, dont laugh but I have a question..lol...and it might be like stupidest question ever, but I use repriceit and I am just getting started in DVDS. Will it do my dvds too or only books??
It will do EVERYTHING. It shouldn't have a huge affect on your overall results. I seen no change in my profitability within DVDs/CDs/Books. You can exclude SKUs if there is something specific. Also not a dumb question multiple people have wondered the same thing!!👊
I made a mistake when I wanted to update my price, from 41 to 14 , then upon realizing my mistake I changed it, however all my comeptetors I think use a repeicer, so they automatically changed to 33 and still haven't went up, they have a few inventory, what shall I do so the price goes back up
Going to have to wait for them to sell out. Repricing is a nonstop game of cat and mouse. If there are multiple offers they will keep competing against each other.
Hi Mike. I just got my Repriceit up and running. I noticed a whole lot of books were repriced by a few dollars and some more than a few. Is that because a lot of my books are under 10.98 to begin with? Also for my repricing template mine says GLOBAL instead of FBA. Is that because I’m listed to sell in other countries- which I don’t even know how that happened! I never requested to sell in other countries.
10.98 yes it automatically repriced all of those to that, which is a good thing since anything much further under that you wont be making any money. Global or FBA shouldn't matter I believe that may be just the generic name they give it!!
Obviously I am incredibly late commenting on this vid lol, but uh, just to make sure I was following this correctly. Should I wait until i have 200 + books in inventory before acquiring this... is that your recommendation?
Great, thanks Mike! I just discovered you a couple days ago on Romer’s 4 hour and 20 minute video and I’m a big fan. I like the way you teach, you’re much easier to learn from than most people out there. Keep up the great work and the great content. Much appreciated!
@@TheUsedBookGuy Not very good so far. About 1/3 of my inventory is deactivated due to pricing errors, mostly low pricing error. I set my bottom to $11.99. What's weird is I see other sellers are listed lower than me. Makes no sense, guess I'll have some investigating to do this week.
I was using the Amazon's repricer and had different min and max pricers for each book. So about a hundred or so had a min of > my repriceit min. Right now I'm not sure I like all my books having same min and max. I'll be investigating different strategies. Already thinking about doing SKUs different, atleast for text books so I can exclude them. So there is a sale on text books right now at my store lol!
@@TheUsedBookGuy Going well. Learning to exclude items that I don't want to go that low. But sales are way up. Instead of selling 2 or 3 books a day I'm selling between 4 and 7. I'll probably switch to bqool at some point. I like how you can set each book with a different min/max. It's just too pricey right now.
That's encouraging to hear you say; that people will buy a used book 5% cheaper than Amazon? I thought people would say " for another dollar I can buy a new one "......but you've really have had success being 5% less than Amazon new?
Yes so the way it works it you aren't directly competing with them because they have the new buy box. Some people prefer to buy used so when they go to buy used there is a used buy box. That's where we get the sale so it necessarily direct competition.
So I have reprice it now. I put to setting to undercut by one penny. However it looks like on some listings Iam going back and forth with some others with repricers. What are your thoughts? Would it be wiser to change the setting to match the lower target?
@@mayrawilson7895 We have since pivoted away from repricing at the lowest for the time being. Everyone on the weekly Zoom calls and discord have changed to match the buy box. There are a lot of reasons we did this but it seems to work better for everyone as Repriceit sometimes cannot pull all of the information when you are pricing the lowest leaving some listings untouched.
Since about 90% of Prime offers for used books are totally invisible to repricing software (Caleb Roth made a great video about this) due to Amazon's API limitations, I don't see how anyone can benefit from using any of the 3rd-party repricers. I've been manually repricing since I started. Sales can be somewhat slower, but the long-term profits are so much higher.
What happens when you max inventory and books need to move, manually repricing 1000+ books will take days if doing it correctly. Repricer moves books and keeps cash flowing into business, I remember when I went from manually repricing to a repricer it was night and day. Sure I lose pennies on books but my inventory moves and cash keeps being pumped into business.
@@TheUsedBookGuy I have a manual repricing chrome extension that allows you to see the five lowest Prime offers on every offer; no blind spots. I estimate that if I had 1000 books I could reprice them all in probably about three hours max. Trouble is though, you can really only do that once per day even if you did it every day.
@@GoldAndSilver988 Yep I use to reprice manually like 3-4 times a day it is just a time sink when everyone you are competing against is using software.
@@GoldAndSilver988 what are you currently using? I’m in the same boat, I need to scale my repricing, but manually is just so time consuming. I’ve only ever used NUPRICE.
Good video, but i price right at the buy box🤣 and my sales are good. Pretty much only difference between my pricing. Apples to oranges though. Everyones prices a little different. I just hate seeing when prices are at for example 19.95 for used buy box, then a noob comes in at 12.95, then repricers come in at 12.95 also. Tanked the buy box. I see it alot. But that's part of the game.
@@TheUsedBookGuy bro i think it was the minimum maximum prices I set from repricing via Amazon? Also I noticed that minimum price I set on repriceit was used for a lot of listing, just trying to figure out where I messed up before I try again
Just like to point out that you totally glossed over setting up a template. You just started with the one you had already created. Can't do settings until I can figure out the info needed in the template. Other than that, good video.
Appreciate the heads-up and call out. If you run into any headaches with it shoot me an email wepayforyourbooks@gmail.com I will get you squared away. I can also send you my template settings if needed!!
I love ya Mike, but you are tanking the prices. Set up multiple templates. Only Lowe by a penny with aged inventory. I get so mad when I sell stuff for way less then listed because 5 people lower by an amount. The buybox rotates, why not just wait your turn? Matching buybox it’s the most aggressive anyone should be. I’m working on making templates based on same condition or better to avoid this issue. Greed does destroy the value of ALOT of books.
With an average buy cost of .80 per item price tanking does not affect me honestly. I no longer price under lowest FBA if that makes you feel better lol I undercut the BB by a penny now!! See I have learned and am not the monster you think I am. Buttttttt we all know Amazon is a race to the bottom no matter what if we don't do it everyone else will!!
@@TheUsedBookGuy I think you may underestimate the influence you have on the market with your social media outreach. I sell about 1% of my inventory everyday and all I do is match buybox and have other safeguards. I honestly think if you came out another video about your, “new pricing strategy” where you don’t undercut and just match buybox, it would have a tremendous ripple effect and probably slow down the race to the bottom by as much as 50%. I see your video constantly recommended in the Facebook groups. The book community is smaller than we think. Sure, there will still be those mega sellers penny pinching, we could always exclude them and let them sellout. I don’t know about you, but for the last 3 months, I’ve tracked every single item I’ve sold and probably 5-10% sell for less than a buyback company is willing to pay. This is HUGE. I’m not trying to bash/disrespect you, but I think you should consider trying to just match BB and see what kind of results you yield. If 4 people are on a listing lowering by a penny and do this say 10 times a day, that’s potentially 40 cents less profit everyday. $12 in one month! If you alone decided not to do that, it would go down to only a decrease of $9 in a month. Like I said, you may underestimate your outreach. But I digress. I respect you and all the information you put out there for me when I was starting out. Keep hustling. P.S. I don’t think there is anything wrong with lowering by X amount with aged inventory. I use a waterfall template and I lower by a penny I believe after 6 months but think I’m changing it to 5 months due to fee changes.
@@JohnnyFlips You make a great point. Maybe this is in the cards because I do agree 100% prices have been tanking everywhere lately. I am secretly the most hated book seller because of my penny undercutting hahahahahaha. Now I just need your financial support if I try this and I got from 15k a month to 5k a month!!
@@TheUsedBookGuy If it makes you feel any better, I’m on track to do about 13-14k this month and I started 6 months ago. I have about 1300 items in inventory and a lot of it is bad items that I’ve sent in the beginning. I promise you, you are probably not going to even notice a difference with your sales since your repricer is till following the undercutters. And once and if you decide to just match buy box and make a video about it, I GUARANTEE we will see a huge increase in the value of books. Or at least a decrease in the rate of tanking. Maybe consider trying it when restock limits are over! As always, I appreciate your replies and I also Appreciate your consideration on reevaluating your repricing strategy. We will be better as a whole because of it. You have the influence! 😁

Yep some people use that one its just personal preference.
Manually repricing these books is the only safe option.

how do you set your repricer settings so your listings reprice based on the lowest FBA offer and not the lowest overall offer? I put in the same settings as you in the video... isn't the goal to be the lowest FBA offer and not lowest overall offer? Maybe I'm wrong, would love your input. Thank you for the game!
Template settings is compare your FBA items against other FBA items.

Do you use the same setting for your Dvds and Cds? Thanks for all the info
Yes I do!!! Nothing extra needed automatically applies it to all your inventory.
Hey Mike, DO you use reprice it for your DVD/CD's too. Getting ready to ship my first load in and I'm just trill. These places I go in my area a lot of times the Books are all ready been scan many times. But the DVD are wide open. Came across several that were little scratch, went ahead and pick them up, plan on getting one of those buffers.
Yep!! So RePriceIt will go ahead and price everything in your inventory the same way it does with your books. That same template will just apply across the board for everything.
You can set up SKUs for each category and a template as well!
So how do you set the program to deal with New FBA 3rd-party offers, since Used against only other Used will not price against New FBA? It's amazing to me how many New FBA offers will often undercut the Used offers. Talk about seller desperation.
You cant lol you must let the idiots be idiots and lose their money first!!
Thankyou bro you the man🔥🔥

You need a separate template for FBM and FBA!!

@luismolina9127 No problem let me know if it fixes the issue
Just curious. Do you not include Acceptable even for those books where your copy is Acceptable?
@@TheUsedBookGuy Ok, so should I switch 5% to 10%? And switch lowest price to against the buy box? Is there anything else I should update?

Does this automatically add new inventory to your repricing, or do you have to keep going in here making sure all your items are working
Nope automatically adds it once it goes active in your inventory!!
I tried to set the min price to default of 0 but it won't take it so I'm setting to 12.99. I am going to try and get them going again now. I have almost 300 in FBA. I set up more than 3 schedules per day for the app to reprice during my trial, is that ok?
Yep should be fine.

Instantaneous once you have everything setup. Make sure your schedules are active!! Let me know how the sales boost is for you.
@@TheUsedBookGuy great answer, I'll let you know how the experiment goes.
Will repriceit also take care of stranded inventory?
No you have to manually go in and fix those that need attention.
@@TheUsedBookGuy That's a showstopper. It just stranded 65 of my listings now that I have to stop what I'm doing and go in and fix.
@@IlliniPicker All pricing errors?
What is that scanner thing you're using in the beginning of the video?
Its an Eyoyo finger scanner I have the link to it in all my videos. I swear by this thing makes scanning so much more efficient!!
Do you have to have ScoutIQor a similar app to use it?
BTW, thanks so much for just taking the time to reply. So many people never respond
@@jackeddeals3289 It will scan any barcode but if you are sourcing media ScoutIQ is the best way to go. There are other apps as well Scoutly Scoutify. Plenty of options out there.
@@jackeddeals3289 No problem!! I hear you a lot of people don't respond....why have a channel trying to help people and not respond. I am proud to say I have responded to every comment since I started lol
hello I have a question so I followed all your steps carefully but my listings are not dropping by pennies some "like new" books I have listed that were 20.00+ are now 10.00 even tho the lowest like new listing is 22.00...
Should I wait until I'm buy box eligible to get a repricer?
You could, but in my opinion just roll with it now to get you items in prime position to sell maybe it will speed up buy box eligibility.
I made a mistake I put Default Price when there are zero or very few competitive offers for a given item: 14.7 I watched your video again and that option was blank😥 Do you know if I can cancel the order and put the book back on sale?
If FBA you are screwed!! That sucks man!!

ok, dont laugh but I have a question..lol...and it might be like stupidest question ever, but I use repriceit and I am just getting started in DVDS.
Atleast 200 probably 300+ honestly.
@@TheUsedBookGuy thanks a million as always!!!!!!!
How can you have a negative feedback removed???
Here is my video showing you how!! th-cam.com/video/qRR1_Maww8c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=qyCRm43vpecTgLqq
Out of curiosity, do you set a price and let your set price sit for a while, or do you let your repricer grab all books immediately after check in?
Once they are active it's off to the races!!!
@@TheUsedBookGuy thank you! I think I'll give that a try
If i set mine to undercut by 1 penny and someone else has theirs set up to undercut by 1 penny, won't the price quickly drop to our minimum price?
Yep we have changed this to no go off lowest price but the buy box. That will fix the issue you are talking about!!
Great, thanks Mike! I just discovered you a couple days ago on Romer’s 4 hour and 20 minute video and I’m a big fan. I like the way you teach, you’re much easier to learn from than most people out there. Keep up the great work and the great content. Much appreciated!
@@StartingMyAmazonBizz I try to keep things simple. Not big on presentations I do a better job just talking about a topic!!
is repriceit good for Canadians too?
I believe so yes!! I have changed a little bit since this video I now match the buy box!
@@TheUsedBookGuy thank you! That's my plan too
Just signed up this evening and setup based on your video. I'll admit it is kind of scary seeing so many books go down to my minimum price.
Oh yeah that initial shock can be rough!! Keep me posted on your results with this!!
@@OptimusFBA Makes sense glad to hear sales are picking up!!
Do you have to use PayPal for repriceit. I don’t have PayPal
Good question I am not sure I use PayPal for mine.
Welcome back
Yayayaya YEWCHEWB video!!
If your minimum allowable price is $10.98, how do you adjust your Min price on Amazon, because sometime you may be selling a book more than $10 .98?
Minimum price just means repricer won't reprice your items below 10.98. I don't do any pricing on Amazon. Maybe I am not understanding your question?
Do you set a min and max price on Amazon?
@@baldielake3738 Nope. Never have never will.
Yep you are fine by me!! Buy box makes perfect sense and sometimes can squeeze a little more money out. Great example for people to see.
I suppose the first time you run the reprice it you might have more dramatic changes in price due to multiple people massive undercutting the market??
Correct. First time will put you in line and from there one should be penny changes basically!!
Where is the video?
What video?
Followed this and now have 300 pricing errors
Scratch that over 400 errors
@@CryptoCabal You must of missed something somewhere!!
@@TheUsedBookGuy bro i think it was the minimum maximum prices I set from repricing via Amazon? Also I noticed that minimum price I set on repriceit was used for a lot of listing, just trying to figure out where I messed up before I try again
@@CryptoCabal Could be that. Also if a lot dropped to your minimum that means them listings have tanked unfortunately.
