    Thanks for the great review! I’ve ridden both, 29er and 27.5 and your opinions sort of confirm my theory about mullet setup. I’m excited to try the Nomad V6 soon. 🍻

    Appreciate your reviews so far! I'm on a Bronson V4 and I've been eyeing the Nomad. The STA and chainstay length definitely appeals to me.

      Hey thanks, Josh! What types of trails are you riding and where? What do you feel like the Bronson is lacking, if anything? The Nomad is big but doesn't feel big when you have gravity to play with.

      @@MTBJonnie Based in Portland, so a solid variety of the PNW goods. I travel to Santa Cruz frequently to visit family as well.
      I feel like I *have* to run a coil on this bike to make it more willing to get into the mid-stroke. If I'm gonna take the weight penalty, I might as well take the increase in capability. I'd definitely appreciate the steeper seat tube and longer wheelbase. I demoed a Bullit in SC a month ago, and it's not apples to apples, but the geo was very confidence inspiring and I sent things I was picking my way down in the past.

      @MTBJonnie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Josh-om9wv yeah I'm a fan of size specific chainstays on the longer end of trendy. This thing has a ton of support but that might be the coil. I'll tell ya, it's 36.5 pounds and I do not mind the weight one bit. That's saying something because our climbs in the front range are no joke either. If you're sending things on the Bullit that you pick apart slowly on the Bronson I'm sure you'd very much not regret getting on this version Nomad. It's just such a natural feeling bike to ride, no thinking, just riding.

    Great review. I was torn between the Mega and Nomad. I agree 100% with your opinion about the Nomad.

    Been riding my noMAD for a month and friggin love it.
    Do you ride yours in the high or low setting? Been riding in the low but thinking I may try the high.
    Thoughts?

      @MTBJonnie  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@toHelluRide low. Never felt the need to adjust but it had more to do with the ride dynamics than geo. The geo shift is minimal but low is better tuning for coil.

    Really enjoying your channel over here in the UK,and you certainly deserve more subs. A bit of a random one but which top/stem cap is that? I’ve noticed you carry a similar cockpit on all your bikes👌

      @MTBJonnie  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oi! Thanks man. I think the subs will come with consistency. I run the race face atlas or i9 stem and Diety 780mm carbon bars with 30mm rise.

    Dude I loved your last comments on this video. I'm having a lot of thinking wether to get this Nomad or a Megatower and I think im getting to the nomad side now. If you had to buy either of those which one would you choose? I really love the fact that the nomad is a mini dh bike but I also fancy the pedaling capabilities of the megatower, so it's either the nomad with an air shock or a megatower with a coil. What do you think?

    • @MTBJonnie
      @MTBJonnie  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They’re both great bikes but it really comes down to your terrain and what you value more. For me, the pedaling ability of the mega isn’t so much greater that it makes up for the mega in the tights. I’d rather have a slightly worse climber but be able to attack a wider variety of terrain on the downhill. It’s a no brainer for me, Nomad all the way.

      @ramirozambosco ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MTBJonnie thanks for your answer mate really appreciate it. Do you reckon it will go better with an air shock or with a coil?

    • @MTBJonnie
      @MTBJonnie  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ramirozambosco for me I’m digging the coil and it has great support. I’ve read elsewhere that people don’t feel supported by the x2 on this bike and that they blow through travel. You never know if folks are set up correct though. I just know for me the coil is giving me lots of smiles.

    • @ramirozambosco

      @@MTBJonnie if that's the one giving you all the smiles then say no more haha. Ive just ordered the x0 coil build :) lets see how it goes. Thanks again

    Considering buying a new nomad or megatower, was wanting to know what you thought, really concerned with pedal strikes as I'm fairly tall (6.5) and little over 200lbs....I like the longer chain stay/wheelbase, and turn, handling capabilities of the nomads mullet set up but still concerned with getting over roots, rocks during climbing

    • @MTBJonnie
      @MTBJonnie  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly the benefits of the better handling outweigh the slight hangups with a smaller wheel. Both are really great bikes. If I was focusing solely on speed I’d go mega. But this is my party bike so I stuck with the nomad.

    Hi that’s a great review!
    Are you pedaling on the low setting or high?
    I currently riding the Bronson Mx and I want to have more slacker bike to hit the bigger stuff but I also want to climb technical stuff
    How is the bike on the low vs high setting?
    Thanks Saar from Israel 🇮🇱

      Bike is in the shop as I smashed the derailleur but I’ll check when it’s back and get back to ya.

    • @MTBJonnie

      Sorry for the late reply here. It came in the low setting and thats where I've left it. I believe the kinematics prefer the Low setting with coil. Santa Cruz has said the minor GEO changes that come from the Hi/Low settings are more about accommodating coil vs air. The actual angles change only slightly and probably aren't perceived.
