If you do R&R your steering gearbox which would most likely tighten things up Redhead is the only way to go IMHO definitely worth the money also you can adjust the preload on your existing gearbox you just need to make small adjustments and try it as you can get the preload to high and shorten your gearboxes life substantially but it’s like anything else follow the manufacturer service instructions and you will have no issues.
It was more preventative, and so I could have grease fittings. I do a lot of driving on rough service roads, so I’ve been slowly upgrading all the stock ford parts

Makes sense! Thanks for the tips. I think I’m going to do the upgrade to a red head for sure
Cant believe ball joints? My f250 has 250k ball joints are still fine.

Thanks mate!
My 2016 power stroke has 185k miles with Carli 4.5 lift and big tires. Still on original ford ball joints. Why buy anything but ford parts?
I did this upgrade a bit earlier than I needed to while chasing a loose steering issue. Personally not a fan of any Ford accessory parts
U joint
Ok
Kryptonite from China!

Yet better than Moog's "made in the USA"
Hahaha yup!
