Winona Beach was magical for me growing up. Tony's Park was our disney. The place was always full on any summer weekend. The arcade with all the vintage games from the 50s and 60s that my father probably played as a kid, the roller rink across the street blasting Foghat or Zeppelin or the BayCityRollers...There was a great icecream place and a driving range. All in walking distance from the beach. Fond memories forever
The good old days! It was even better in the 70s! I'm so glad and feel blessed i was able to be a child in those days. There was a outdoor rollerskating across the street and the beach was all usable. Thank YOU for sharing this!
One of my most vivid memories is walking across State Park Drive with our kids on the way to the beach and hearing "Telestar" by the Tornadoes coming from Tony's outdoor speakers. To this day, every time I hear it it takes me right back to that day.
I grew up in Bay City. I lived not far from Tonys Park and the Beach. Went there every weekend in the summer, the train tunnel used to scare me . I remember the paintings on the sides of the tunnel, scared the hell out of me ! The arcade was so unique with all the old games.Great memories !
Tony's Park was my favorite place to visit back in the early 60's when I was in elementary school. There used to be a big and very old arcade filled with games. I still remember the smell of that old building. My favorite ride was the boats!
Aw that's sweet but my favorite was the big slide ...you had to use them berlap bags to slide down on it was awesome, well I don't know if anyone will read this soon🤔😁but I will ask anyways didn't they have a Santa House also on the same side of all the rides😊
Susan Henry I'm Carol Mexicotte Bauman, Tony is my grandfather when he passed away my grandmother and parents ran the park we leased it out for a year and continued untill 67. I don't remember you but that's not saying much I have a hard time rembering what day of the week it is. Email me sparkey1946@gmail.com
Gerald Barrowman I remember Tony's in the late 40's. One of the coin operated "games" was a punching bag that registered your hitting force in numbers. After I got done with it a bigger kid (a red headed Jablonski) put up bigger numbers and that pissed me off. So when he left I kept putting money in it trying to top his numbers. I beat the shit out of that bag but couldn't come close. Lol!
Tony's park was torn down a long time ago. I'm guessing you are younger than 35. If you know where Mussel beach is at the corner of Beaver and Euclid was where it once was.

That was our favorite place to go wen me & my brother's & Sister's when we was all young Back in the early 70s We loved the Big Slid. Good old day's ❤
Mr Darby, my old swimming teacher purchased this place a very long time ago.
We loved going there in the 60s, especially to the arcade. Of course it was all just toys and cheap tand, but we had a lot of fun with it.
Loved the time I spent with my brothers and sisters having a great time exploring the arcade and meeting friends!!!

My great uncle Tony started and owned the park until about 1951, we used to go there all the time. It was great!
Fun to see this video. Those boats were always my favorite!
I used to hang out there-the beach and the turn around. Great video. Loved seeing the vehicles in the back ground.

I rode those boats every week-end and my boys did too. To bad my grandkids never could.
Wait, wasn't this over by State Park? Just before the beach became polluted?
I'm the guy driving the Train way back then.
My great-uncle Tony open and owned the park until about 1951, do you know who owned after 1951?
