      1988. I believe this one still runs today at Centreville Amusement Park on Toronto Island. At some point Bushkill Park closed for financial reasons, the current owners purchased it in the late 80s I believe. The original caroucel was sold to Toronto Island, one of the heirs used their portion of the money from selling it to gift the current owners the caroucel they had in 2004 when Ivan happened.

    I distinctly remember the carousel with all the different animals... most had hobby horses. Also the Barrell of Fun in which my Uncle Fred kept losing his cigarettes from his front pocket.

    Is this the same carousel that was there in the 60's? I remember we used to hold onto the poles, lean out and try to grab the golden ring.

    All the kids at Nazareth used to have our skating parties down there in the 70's. That spring with the two water pipes coming out had the best water on the planet. We'd get all sweaty in there skating then walk out front to get a drink. It was a blast

    @Settylicious Yes, it's the same one. It was at the park for 56 years - from 1933 til 1989.

    Yes I loved back in the 80s I went there with my first wife and had the time of our lives
    I really miss that park. Today I seen it on amercian pickers and the owner said he is trying to reopen the park. I hope so as I am totally disabled now I would still love just to see all the people having fun . I was in the NAVY at the time on leave from my 2 submarine tour I went on and stayed 7 years got out honorable discharge.

    Memories, memories! I LOVED this place as a kid. It is a shame how it went to pot. More could have been done, flooding or not. It survived floods before!

    What happened to "Balloons the Clown" aka Neal Fehnel who bought the park in 1989-1990? Did he try to buy the park back?

    The owner, the one in the program, never intended to fix and reopen the park. There are so many liens that aren't paid and he was just after some quick cash. There is nothing "real" about Reality shows!! I went to Bushkill Park as a child and I'm just sick over this.

      Joe Hancaviz, I think only one, the Bushkill Park Carousel. And also. Where is the carousel now?

    • @Inspectorjoe
      @Inspectorjoe  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Last I heard (about 3 years ago), it's still intact and in storage, somewhere in Ohio. Exactly where, seems to be a well-held secret.

      Joe Hancaviz So what happens to all the rides at the park?

    • @Inspectorjoe
      @Inspectorjoe  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I heard from a close source that most were purchased, but have not been installed anywhere else, and might be available for return to the park.
