    I am an Army-Carat, and I am so happy you are giving a chance to Seventeen. It can be confusing at the beginning to get their names or Bias. My Bias is Wonwoo but I get wrecked all the time by all of them. They are amazing and have a beautiful story. Their Performance, girl, is top-notch you're gonna love it. you should watch their killing voice + dance practice/performance videos.

    9:56 yow DK is actually one of the main vocalist in the group, along with seungkwan. And i don't get it when you said DK line is the shortest among them cause I believed he has the exact same line with Seungkwan😂. But yeah seventeen line distribution actually are better than most other groups. Even if a member got a really short line, but they make them shine by giving them the spotlight in the dance or maybe their line is the killing part of the song. So we as fan never really complaint about the line distribution.
    Not long ago fans commented on Mingyu live and asked him if he was okay for having a least line on their one particular song, and Mingyu replied by telling us not to worry, the members are all happy with their part because not everyone can shine in every song. Each of song have their own vibe and it's normal. They still have other b-side songs in the album that showed the other members strenght and variety.
    So even though if you think the line for DK were short, he still got the high notes part which made us satisfied because he was known for his vocal and high notes. Same goes for another main vocalist seungkwan. During their live performances, DK and Seungkwan often add their own adlibs to the songs and harmonizing with other members, so basically they still shines in their own way. Thank you for reacting, hoping to see more❤ sorry for bad grammar;)
    ps they just done headlining the lollapalooza in berlin few days ago. would be great to give it a try, their live performances are always the best and they knew how to hype up the crowd. they literally performed 19 songs in 1 hour+.

    Seventeen and BTS are my ult groups. Seventeen is the only other group that can impact me as much as BTS can. Seventeen and BTS are all close to each other there are other members that are close to
    JK is close to other members as well, not just mingyu. Taehyung and Jimin too. Woozi and Hoshi was on Yoongi’s show (SUCHWITA). Seventeen debuted in 2015 so they are 3rd gen along with BTS. They are actually known for their equal line distribution. Which is crazy because they have 13 members and there are groups with less members that don’t have equal distribution when it comes to lines. They also are really inclusive in their choreography as well everyone gets their time to shine. They are also known as the theatre kids of kpop as well as synchronization kings as they are the most synchronized group in kpop proven by computer technology. They also are self produced and have been producing almost 99% of their songs since before debut since their company was poor and bankrupt, they had to do A LOT themselves.
    Seventeen's name comes from the fact that they have 13 members + 3 sub-units (Vocal unit, performance unit and hip-hop unit) + they come
    together as 1 group = 17. Their fandom name is
    Carats -- like Seventeen carat diamonds. And their symbol is a diamond.
    This genre was actually pretty new for them. I will say they are know for being very versatile. Woozi actually took around 7/8 samples of their other title track songs to make this one song it’s INSANE. It was his first time really doing that. So I don’t think seventeen really stick too one genre. I recommend checking out their killing voice and here are some other songs I recommend: Fear, Hot, Super, Home;Run, Don’t wanna cry. Check them out with their dance practices you won’t regret it.
    Like I said earlier they are know for their choreography and performances so in the future I reccomend when you watch a mv to put the dance practice with it they are actually insane.
    In each of the three units they have they have a leader in each. The hip units leader is scoups and he also is the general leader of seventeen. (3:12) Hoshi is the leader of the performance unit (5:57) Woozi is the leader of the vocal unit and is also the main producer of seventeen. (3:51) and they make up a subunit called seventeen leaders. There are a couple of other subunits that I would love to mention but I do not want to overwhelm you.
    Hip hop unit - scoups, wonwoo (5:36), mingyu (3:06), and Vernon (3:44)
    Performance unit - hoshi, Jun (5:48), The8/Minghao (7:24), and Dino/maknae (5:04)
    Vocal Unit - Woozi , Jeonghan (6:45), Joshua (3:38), Seungkwan/main vocalist (6:01)*my ult hence my pfp*😏, Dk/main vocalist (4:37)
    Also I would like to say you said how do we find biases in seventeen and well…yes girl it’s really hard. Most carats are ot13 or have 4+ biases which is normal as a carat. I have four (Seungkwan,Hoshi, Minghao, Joshua) but even then I am constantly wrecked all the time expecially by Jun and Woozi. and tbh seventeen is one of the coziest groups out there they are family
    Also I’m so sorry girl for the super long comment I’m just so excited you are checking out my other ult group.

  • @NickyM96
    @NickyM96 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    The thing about Seventeen is that it’s hard to pinpoint one particular sound for them. They’ve been around coming up on 10 years now and they are self produced. So they have a lot of content and it is very diverse because they have control over what they do. You could listen to a dozen different songs and hear a dozen different genres. They have light, fun, upbeat pop sound that a lot of people refer to as their “FreshTeen” era. But they also have explosive and dynamic songs like Maestro, Super, and Hot. They have dark and edgy songs like Fear and Getting Closer, from what people refer to as their “DarkTeen” era. They have songs with kind of a rock vibe. They have songs with an R&B vibe. They have beautiful lyrical songs. They have Japanese songs. They even have a song with a jazzy, Broadway sound. That doesn’t even get into their unit songs. Vocal unit songs are going to sound different from performance unit songs which are going to be very different from the hip-hop unit songs.
    But definitely watch Killing Voice and definitely check out dance practices. Dance practices are some of my favorite things to watch by them because they’re just phenomenal dancers. Don’t worry about the number of members. They will all grow on you and you’ll learn the names in time.

    This song references a lot of different genres and they sample many of their own previous music because rhis was part of their "Best of" compilation album. Genius.
    Their line distribution is overall very good. In some songs, one or rwo members might have less lines but on the next song, they'll have more but across the whole album it is really good distribution. Choreo distribution is freaking amazing since they all dance very well.

    One song I REALLY love from them is "Home". They also have mvs for each their units' songs: Lalali(hiphop), Spell(Performance) and Cheers to youth(Vocal).
    Other songs I highly recommend are Pretty U (especially the dance practice and live performance), Clap, HIT, Super, etc... the list could keep going.

    Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Girl, ur the only one who heard kinda Stray Kids vibe like i did on 1st listen. So NCT127 and possibly the other units to 25 members in all UwU have a similar vibe too. To me it sounds like 3 different songs in one or more. But the song is not well balanced on 1st listen so it was a grower for me. I had to get used to the rhythm. DK is the other main vocal in this group. My bias is Jeonghan and my wrecker is Joshua. All the others are wreckers weekly. =0p Woozi is the Suga like guy. He is the main producer of the group and very much like Suga. Suga interviewed him and the main dancer Hoshi in 2 separate episodes of Suchwita. My fav song is Rock with You and after i saw both episodes of Suchwita I listened to Super and F**** My Life both are title tracks from their past album. Both are good. This group is BTS energy all the way. They are funny and very close. They have a similar coming up story like BTS which surprised me. The group has 2 American members and 2 Chinese members. Their dynamic is cool. They have good mental health songs and good carat fan songs. I do hope u will give them more of a listen. Their other songs are very much their vibe and are fun to hear and see.
    Kinda gave me Stray Kids vibes actually. Liked the fits and makeup. Loved seeing Woozi play the piano. It's a good song. Interesting mix. I do like their older stuff better because it's more my vibe. I did not see any teasers. Good song name. For sure dark theme. Get a feeling of them vs. AI. Noticed that they recycled some scenes from their older MVs. Also, Joshua touching his finger with the robot AI is a reference to Spark of Life by Michelangelo (sistine chapel) or The Creation of Adam It's referred to as both. We humans created AI. They just released a best of album with 30+ tracks on it [4 of which are new]. Hugs. - -2019 ARMY NY USA 💜
    @littlemissfahema said on 4/29/24
    The concept is very much Seventeen vs AI.. they’re showing that in this day and age you can use as much as AI as possible but they will never be better than the real. SEVENTEEN are the maestro. They produce, conduct, choreograph, write, compose and AI will act according to their command.
    Also the whole “moving too fast comment”.. the music video is glitching a lot bc AI in a way is trying to overthrown seventeen by trying to get rid of them. If you look at Joshi scene at the end he’s in the centre while AI is moving in circles. Showcasing that they’re not listening to him; the maestro. But the whole MV is like a grand concept of svt utilising AI to let everyone know SVT are the maestro. AI will never be better than them. Well that’s what I got from the mv.
    @peachakus said on 4/29/24
    Woozi shared that he sampled 7 different seventeen songs in maestro!
    @ummehabiba1990 said on 4/30/24
    I'd say I agree to a certain extent with the music being the same in the industry recently however this MV was more to showcase how us as a society we are loosing to AI and how it is even taking over our music and because of this there was a bit at the end where a question pops up right after you paused which asked "who is the real maestro?". Also the fact that most of this song had samples from previous seventeen songs mixed in it like at the start it was their debut title sampled in. and regarding the rest of the album I think you'd like LALALI the hip hop unit song.
    @ayaalvarez8563 said on 4/30/24
    Woozi shared that he used 7 samples from previous songs in making Maestro.
    @sumaiyabinteshihab942 said on 4/30/24
    You remember? Minghao's tap dancing and wonwoo's 16,32 beats these all r from the dance break
    @thzaaai said on 4/30/24
    Actually there's a story in the mv and carats have been creating theories. With the question 'who is the real maestro?' so mostly it's about seventeen vs ai/robots. Seems like some of the members have been captured by the ai, like hoshi in the first scene.
    -Then they show Wonwoo, Mingyu and Vernon walking the hallway, maybe they break in to the building to save them?
    -Woozi might be the mastermind in helping them too, as he was playing the piano on top of the building and helps breaking the windows.
    -the members starting to realize that they are the real maestro and they can control the robots, which is why the robots are dancing with them.
    -then the scene in the second chorus, the robots are trying to shoot/kill svt but there's a glitch saying 'moving too fast', svt's dancing is overpowering the robots which makes them failed to kill svt.
    -and if u notice in the first scene, the metronome (the building) didn't move and look dead, meaning the music are dead because the ai are taking over at the moment. At the end, seventeen were dancing with the beat and the menotrome behind them finally start moving, and the city seems to comeback alive.
    -to conclude, seventeen (human) are the real maestro.
    Also the scene when they showed all the members in their units, the leaders are not with them. Even in performance unit, hoshi is the only one who was glitching. So there might be something about the leaders?
    Wow sorry for writing this long.
    @Surbhi_z said on 4/28/24
    This MV intends to address the integration of AI technology in art, portraying a symbolic 'battle’ between SEVENTEEN and AI and sending a message on who really controls today's world, "who is the maestro?"
    @BeverlyPennell said on 4/30/24
    It's called a conductor's baton. The building is a giant metronome. And Joshua with the robot touching fingers is inspired by Michelangelo's "Creation of Adam".
    As for the part that confused you (Mingyu turning around and seeing a regularly dressed person in the audience), I think that's probably the key to the question, "Who's the real Maestro?" It's a regular every day person holding the baton; and during Wonwoo's fight scene he says (paraphrased) tell me what rhythm you want and you'll get it, because your wish is my command. Seventeen, I think, is telling us that WE are the Maestro, because WE are the ones that inspire them...lead them...conduct them...let them know what we want...and then they give it to us. Just an idea. I could be wrong, but it would be SOOOO Seventeen if that were the message!

    Another fun fact, Seventeen rebelling against Al taking over the music industry, by switching up unpredictable beats and mixing genres seamlessly in one song.
    I think this is them challenging ai by showing that ai is nothing compared to/ without humans, who still have all the control and are in charge (the real maestro), they one to tell that we humans are the real maestro.
    And about the mv, they're trying to tell that instead of the robots taking over, SVT fought against it and in the end, they have control over the robots, where it follow them.
    If you look at the lyrics they actually describe the song as it's going on. It's describing what is happening or going to happen, like they are building the song as it goes. The lyrics are basically 90% that. That's what makes it genius. Like Wonwoo for example, saying he's switching up the rhythm as he's doing as exactly that and then saying he's adding in techno when that's again what was happening. The story is them creating the song. Its freaking genius man.
    ALSO, fun fact, wonwoo took acting class for that fighting scene only
    Ps : There's a lot of theories on twitter and on TikTok regarding the story line behind the MV which will make us understand the mv and the lyrics connection to the mv and dance even more (As always, svt and the small little details lol). Eagle eye carats, even found out about the theory where gyu is an impostor to this human vs ai (robots) thing.

    The word “ scherzo “ that Scoups uses in his rap can have a double meaning, it’s a musical term but also means joke in Italian “ a seventeen’s joke” amazing!
    @yashikasaxena4626 said on 5/4/24
    So the main theme is who's the real Maestro between humans and robots. In the mv the theme revolves around the fight between ai taking over human talent signified by the ominous atmosphere in the beginning. They're trying to take back the world from the hold of robots. The guy was glitching (hoshi) is captured by robots. Those blurred instruments are actually machines which are not listening to the guy trying to control them, he realises this and alerts everyone else. And the rest of them are on a mission here as it says Maestro mission. When that scene of the high note comes at 12:57 they're actually outdoing the robots by their human talent, that's why the high note is so crazy good, it signifies that robots can make things but they cannot match the human talent and speed! Also why it says they're "moving too fast" and "it would not be detected". The pause then happens when everything goes still and Mingyu is running towards the curtains to find hoshi (the captured guy), then we see The8, who comes there to tell him that the mission succeeded and they defeated the robots. After that we get into the last dance break where they dance at an insane speed, which signifies that human speed and talent can't be matched by machines and humans will always be the real Maestro at the end. The metronome is also moving very fast at 64 beats if I'm not wrong. The mv is like a mini sci fi movie haha.

    Thank you for decoding the mv, I guessed some things but was not able to put it together. I think what adds to the story is that every orchestra has a maestro, the person standing in front with a baton who coordinates and mostly controls the tempo of the whole orchestra. So when there is no maestro, which is Hoshi, who is captured then there is no tempo signified by the still metronome in the beginning. when humans take control, and the maestro takes the lead then the tempo returns as shown by the metronome building in the last.
    Jeonghan looks like a villain in some anime specifically The Black Butler! 0.0
    #LALALI (HipHop Unit)
    #Spell (Performance Unit)
    #Cheers_to_youth (Vocal Unit)
