The customer drove the vehicle for 21 days with no issues. We decided to replace the ignition switch proactively.

My daughter’s 05 mini does the same thing. Do you know if the switch worked as a long time fix for your customer?
As far as I know it's been good.
When the ignition switch is replaced does that mean the key won’t work as there’s an emobaliser ?

Hi, I have an issue on Mini One D 2005 1.4 88ks where you turn your key and fuel pump wont activate. After 50-80 key turns it light up check engine and plug lights and you can hear fuel pump starting and it starts. I changed key antenna and it worked fine for a month, but again started to show issues. Immobilaser relay is switching, but if those 2 lights don't come on, it wont start. Could it be also Ignition Switch, does he starts injection/fuel system on first key possition? or do you have any idea what could be the issue? Key was tested, its ok.
Thank you ..... My 2005 mini does the same thing ........ Get to the store and it may crank back up and it may just not ......so far hours later of sitting there it will finally fire back up ......hoping you found what it is......thinking mine may be the key transponder receiver
If its security related it should set a code for incorrect or missing security password. Have a network scan performed see if there is any codes in any computer
