if you have to go for petrol, go for 1.5 NA (no less than than that). Believe this is the best for long term use in mixed conditions of city + highway. Dont go for small turbo engines.
Few points.... 1. TGDI engines needs 95octane petrol for its optimum performance and mileage. 2. Turbo diesels are more efficient than turbo petrols. It gives 30% more mileage than petrols despite of having higher engine size. 3. Gear shiftings are extremely important for manual turbo petrols. Wrong gear shift and higher rpm will low down milegae to single digit. 4. Choose 4 cylinder turbo petrol over 3 cylinders for better ownership & drive experience.
Most importantantly Turbo petrols need religious 5k Kms oil change (ful syn API SP Oil Must) which these ASS guys fail to inform you. More frequent oil changes needed to counter oil dilution through fuel and LSPI issues.. Without knowing any of these our ppl buy turbo Gdi's and engine goes kaput in just over 1L kms by which time warranty deal is done with OEM's.
91 octane is enough for i20 n line 1 liter tgdi engine And and it is not compulsory to change oil every 5 k kms......it can be used to 10k kms.....if you in semi urban and drive mostly on highways with out traffic
Broo i have owned the honda city and its amazing its the best car in segment, when i was testing out cars to purchase i did drive the elevate multiple times and trust me the riding position and ergos on that car are addicting, There are only two problems i think the elevate has 1. It gets noisy when you are accelerating the NVH is not that good 2. It is locked at 160 kph which is a dealbreaker for me it might not bother many people obviously but yea it does bother me tho... look wise i think the elevate looks even better than the honda city, if not for that 160kph lock i would have definitely bought the Elevate, But make sure you get the manual dont go for the CVT please unless you have some problem in your legs because the manual with that engine is just beautiful... Work of gods💕
maintenance cost is same, unless ur engine is breaking down which will happen with poor manufacterer city driving jada hai to automatic lelo turbo lag is evident in manual, makers tune automatic very well to mask turbo lag, however, vw and mahindra use VGT/eVGT hence turbo lag is negligible(new age 1.0 turbo are bit weak though)
Bro u have to take a lot more care of them if u want it to work properly in long runs Mahindra tgdi dont feel that initial lag because it is a massive engine 2.0ltr turbo it is And about 1.0 turbo that is what i exactly said Baaki i think automatics are for SUVs to drive in absolute comfort performance cars should always have manuals sedans and hatchbacks that are made to go fast should always have manuals
@@aguyfromparalleluniverse i think you have not tried driving in bangalore traffic...automatic is a must here mahindra uses eVGT which helps in containing turbo lag, its not about engine size
Very nice explanation, i have recently bought Mahindra XUV3XO turbo diesel automatic which is a 1.5L turbo charged engine which has 300Nm torque and SERIOUSLY i will say that when car gets passed 1800 RPM there you will feel an instant kick like you just cant sit straight, it pulls very hard and since its a diesel so the rpm band will be less and hence that torque remains till 4900rpm and everytime when i am hard on gas peddle car puts a big smile on the face and ooh it feels that car itself tells to pull more, it feels torque should never end, those who know or have driven turbo diesel engines they might know but yes below 1800rpm for a diesel the engine feels very lathagic and you might inutially not feel very good and then that's what we call it as turbo lag, i actually like that turbo lag and then a sudden turbo kick
😭😭very difficult broo i went to a wedding yesterday had to get it washed today, and i have to clean it almost everyday before i drive, even after i keep it covered that too inside, if u want some easy maintainence go for white it looks pretty too, but i think this is still the best color in i20nline currently available
Honda iVtec are similar to Turbo charge. And if you’re going for an automatic then it gives you SPORTS mode too❤ Thanks a lot for details. 🙏Will go for NA, preferably iVtec
Bro I have booked i20 n line n8 automatic. And planning to take delivery in a week. My main daily up&down is 20 to 25KM. I want your suggestion shall I go for it? Or shall i look for other options?
Broo, if u want performance power and fun go for it.... It does not have a towering presence like the Thar may be... But yea its suuper fun when u press that throttle I have created a few videos about my experience with the car I'd love for u to take a look at those, I have covered aLmost everything in absolute detail, like how the car is to drive around, stability, space, turbo lag, braking and everything in between also the problems like rusting, are in the pipeline i saw some rusting on my brake discs recently which breaks my heart but its fine, You should watch the videos, i think you'll get a very clear picture for the same, a mileage test is coming very soon too, I am able to get 18+ on my mid when i commute ghaziabad to gurgaon biweekly
High Altitude hills par N.A Engine Best Hota hai Beta I have 34 years of experience in Driving, Turbo Engine is the Worst and very very lazy on hills, Don't misguide people
Bro what kind of a budget are we looking at here, are u looking for a primary do it all car for yourself or just for a commuter car?? Coz if you are looking just for a commuter car and u have a primary car that u can use over longer journeys and travels with family then u can consider MG comet its quiet a good car imo especially now with the Battery On Rent system that car makes soooo much sense for 5 lakhs that is if you have a primary car, because MG comet cannot be your only car..... So yea I'll need more information from your end
@aguyfromparalleluniverse where you are saying that before stop you have to drive in city in slow speeds. You don,t need that.Just before stop just keep the engine in ideal in start condition. And also to cater turbo lag the engines are equiped with direct injection and with proper gear you can compete with an NA engine.
Hi with a 14lk budget for a family of 4 adults and 1 child. is n8 a good option to buy or shld I go for vw virtus base model? Primarily city with occasional highway use.

Yes that's why I bought honda city
I have Ciaz 4 speed AT NA Petrol. I hope it keeps running.
Ford Ecoboost here with 1Lac Km driven. 95 octane petrol
