- Our anniversary weekend staycation begins at the Nickelodeon Suites Resort in Orlando, FL. This hotel is being converted to a Holiday Inn in April 2016 and we wanted to enjoy all the Nick goodness before it goes away!

I remember I went here when I was 6 years old. I like how you toured the property and room. Brings back nostalgia. I remember sitting on the Blues Clues chair and having a picture of me taken on it. Also when I did mini golf it was impossible because it was covered in wood chips and hurt your feet when you walked on it. Lol 😂
Went there when I was a kid and they were still converting it from a normal hotel into Nick Hotel.

I remember I used to go here and I loved it! I wish the resort didn’t turn into a regular hotel. I miss the memories. Like i remember being chosen for double dare and I won! We went through a laser room and it was so fun! We went to the water park and I got slimed and made new friends! Why was it turned into a regular hotel😞
Yes! Awesome Hotel, we had 10 people stay in 2 SpongeBob suites, such a fun time. Sorry to hear it is going away, good times, great memories. Thanks for sharing. Have FUN! KO

Oh ok. that's sad though that the Nick hotel is closing I always wanted to stay there someday there gonna open the time caspul in 2042 supposed to I think I would be almost 52 years old that year.
no, the capsul was buried where the old nick studios was in Universal studios, it was buried at the resort when the studios closed. now, it will be at the current nick studios.

I know that that the nick hotel in CA will prob5 be not that bad, but at the same time, I'm scared that they're going to design it to ONLY current nickelodeon shows. i would like to see a mixture of older and new nickelodeon, not just modern.

so bummed this is closing, this was one of my favorite places, as well as the studio. i really wanted to visit it recently, but i actually didnt know it was closing.so sad, i remember going in like 2006 when i was just a baby, makes me so sad.

I stayed in the Nick hotel in 2006 and everything looked different. they had the cartoon characters on top of the water slides and the buildings. Go to 9:31 in this video you'll see how it was before
They were getting rid of them due to the conversion back but when I went there in summer 2015 it was still there.
I remember going here 4 times: twice when it was known as the Holiday Inn Family Suites Resort (1999 and 2002, before the Nickelodeon name was slapped on), and twice under the Nickelodeon banner (2005 and 2006). I'm sure the property is going back to its Holiday Inn roots to compete with a proposed Great Wolf Lodge that may be built across I-4 from Disney Springs.

I remember going there, my dad always told the staff at the buffet I was under 12 to get free food, I mean I was under 12 but if it was still open now and I went my dad would probably tell them I’m under 12 to get free food

It was at the end of it’s life. It went out of business in April of 2018, and is now a Holiday Inn.

Seems like everything my family and I loved to go to are closing down this year. First Disney Quest and now the Nick Hotel?! I'll admit the rooms kinda suck but how cool is it that they have a Nickelodeon Hotel? I was in the Double Dare show and I got slimed and its not that green water by the pool it was REAL slime! Gonna miss this hotel

I only saw the hotel once we were going to Epcot in 2013 (I was 9 that year), but now, it's a Holiday Inn Resorts known
I always wanted to go there when I was young.

Not sure if you knew that Nick has been bought out. It will be undergoing a 30 Million dollar renovation this year (2016). Kind of cool actually that you got to be one of the last people to see Nick suites. If you want to see the upgrade you can check it out at www.nickhotel.com/renovation
+Mark Benedict Yep. I reference it being bought out in the videos we posted. It will become a Holiday Inn water park resort in a couple of months. I'm glad we were able to enjoy it before the conversion!

I remember being in a TMNT or Spongebob room watching Cartoon Network (I think) on an Old TV with my brother in our room before we went to sleep it was actually great there but we only stayed there for one day and came back to Give Kids The World Village

I was hear when I was way younger, It was the best hotel and resort I have ever went to, But they just turned it into a normal hotel and suites which was sad to find out.

+Theme Park Fanatic It totally needs some TLC, which we could see it was getting inside the rooms that were being worked on. We saw new furniture, walls, etc, being installed in the rooms.

Sad to know its holiday inn :(... Im actually happy they didnt take the waterslides and all that down.. Ive always went from 2010-2015 since my family found out it was closing we stopped going. But now im doing a yt video to see whats happend in the past years im going this week. And if you wanna watch my vid it will be up in 2 weeks :)... Saddest part is i had every bday there.. Untill it closed :(

I just feel that the hotel is not in a great spot for business given that what they offer to guests not that it is bad it is just that it does not fit orlando florida when you have disney world universal, if they made the water editions more like an indoor water park with tube rides and cool big water park with slides fitted for nick characters it might have lasted longer and I am well aware not everyone has the money, but they have the money to go to orlando or they may live there i know but still it kinda sucks the place is just for little kids
