    We have AI, more enertainment, more nonsense distractions, but our roads, infrastructure, community remain tattered and 3rd world, and getting worse, our culture breaking down, crime and social trust getting worse... thanks social media and AI

    AI is a double-edged sword. Sure, it is a giant leap ahead in terms of technology, and people are desperate to seek growth in this aweful economy. But, what people are forgetting - As AI matures, less people will be needed. We are moving closer to a time where people as an economic resource will become less important.

      @@JimBarcelona I can't speak intelligently about things in Africa and South America. If AI can be developed without biases, then it will have the potential to positively impact our lives. Simple example: If AI can sort my e-mails and remove the spam, it will greatly improve the quality of my life. If, however, AI is used to push a biased political view, then I believe it will create social unrest. Either way, the consequences will be very noticeable.

    Apple also isn’t a hype beast company that jumps on trends and flexes them loudly. They actually take the best and most useful parts of a technology and implement them. Nothing flashy. They’ve used “machine learning” (AKA Ai) in the iPhone for over a decade now, the camera on iPhone is almost always using it. When they’re ready they will dominate the space. Spatial computing will be another long term revolution for Apple as well, especially given that most people doubt it.

      Ai is just the annoying chatbots we all unanimously agreed on were useless for the past decade that was suddenly repackaged in late 2022 and hyped in Davos January 2023 to bail tech companies and investors out.
      They’re chatbots, people. And they’re terrible. The problem is people are enamored by the quasi-sophistication, and so will outsource their thinking to “Ai” which are just chatbots querying Google/data sets and regurgitating it.

    • @MyAnalyser

      AI is now at the top of the hype curve. It won't be long when reality sets in and the whole thing comes crashing down. After this, we will see slow and steady realistic growth until many years from now people will finally see the promises realized.
      People old like me may remember that in the late 90ies the internet was supposed to replace everything. Everyone would buy everything on the internet from from clothes to petfood and no regular shops would exist. And then that didn't happen and all these internet companies that weren't making their investments back where exposed and the internet bubble burst.
      Now, finally after more the 20 years and greatly helped by a pandemic we are finally living in that world that was promised in 1999. Thanks to corona even regular old folk are ordering most of their stuff online.

    Armies always fight the last war, just because the internet was early thus boom bust does not mean AI necessarily is, if AI does accelerate as some claim then its going to be boom boom boom then maybe bust but the BOOM could be massive as the change could be very very big and very very fast, you put your money down on what you believe will happen.

    Kara Swisher is the most over rated journalist, if you can call her a journalist, I can recall. When you listen to her on her podcast Pivot, you can see the distinct contrast between insightful intelligent, researched contribution delivered by Scott Galloway and an absolute waste of bandwidth delivered by Kara Swisher. She drops half baked thoughts and then fills the air with word salads before moving on quickly so her lack of relevancy does not become apparent to an audience. I listened to that podcast (because I like Scott) for a year now and I have yet to find one, just one instance where Kara Swisher was insightful, interesting or at least relevant. This clip is just the same. She is even using Scot Galloway's phrases because she has absolutely nothing to offer. It is no surprise that her "tell all" is nothing but a desperate attempt to relevancy. Her rolodex is her only asset so she hopes we will all pay to see her burn it. Small flame and an empty shell.

    • @ciprianpopoviciu9315
      @ciprianpopoviciu9315 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sarashann your disagreement is perfectly fine, the question is: Do you disagree simply because you like Kara Swisher as a person or is it because you have data to refute my points? I am willing to debate this issue if you are willing to provide data (something Kara Swisher does not really care about or take the time to learn). Here is my proposal: If you find one original insight Kara Swisher provides in any episode of Pivot, even in the Wins and Loses section, and you forward me the episode number and the minute where such insight is stated, I will review it. If this is a truly original thought, and not something she stole from a Scott comment in a previous episode, I will accept I was wrong. You will have to go through a lot of episodes, past many "anyways", her way to quickly switch topics to mask her lack of knowledge or relevancy. If you would like to get an insight in her style, I suggest listening to the Pivot episode where they both talk to Esther Perel to realize that Kara Swisher's lack of insight is easy to explain by her inability or interest in reflection, she is all about moving to the next thing. Likes and dislikes are highly personal however, data is rather objective.
