Jules, I have used manual extension tubes in the past and always found the depth of field so shallow that it was very difficult to focus. However, these tubes with the AF connections, I am going to order a set of extension AF tubes to play with them. Question: you are using the Vello, I see on Amazon Meike and Viltrox also sell Z mount extension tubes. Any thoughts about the Vello, Meike or Viltrox? Also, looking forward to see how you use a fisheye lens. I have never used one. Thanks again!
The 24-120mm (and I presume the 24-70mm's too) work really well with tubes, I think I get 1:1 but I'm not certain. They focus much closer than the 85mm to begin with. I've got the Viltrox tubes which have a 24mm and 12mm and are maybe a bit cheaper. The AF works surprisingly well.
I enjoyed that thnx cheers from Australia...happy festive season to you and family
@@ronaldnollet1461 Thanks Ron, happy holidays to you and your family as well.

@@leod1671 I’m not sure about the others, I have only used the Vello tubes with no issues. I’m surprised Nikon doesn’t make Z mount tubes.
