It may be helpful to make more shorter videos covering 1 topic instead of a long video with many topics. Think single purpose principle. This would allow users to more easily find the information they are looking for.
Thank you for the suggestion! We are planning on adding chapters / time stamps for longer videos, so everybody can find the information they seek quickly.
The video now has chapter/segment markers on the timeline if you're using a PC-based interface.
how to add 2 labels at ends of edges ?
PS : Found an answer at 41:10
Seems to fall short, I need to use a ported node graph, with grouped (trunked) edges.
Demo has no reference to ports, namimg ports etc.
No ability to group edges.

1. How we can search for specific text in yEd
2. How we can import PDF / JPEG / BMP file format in yEd, and if not then do you know how we can convert the mentioned format into graphml so that to view it in yEd

There are multiple ways to search for text in yEd.
1. The structure view offers a "Search" text field that can be used to search for nodes where the search text matches the text of the default (first) node label or the text of a custom property value.
2. "Tools" -> "Select Elements" may be used to select graph elements depending on label text or property value text. This tool offers fine-grained control over selection criteria - among other things it is possible to choose between prefix/suffix/infix or full-fledged regular expression text matching.
3. "Edit" -> "Find" offers the same powerful interface as "Select Elements", but instead of selecting all matching graph elements, only the first match is selected. "Edit" -> "Find Next" and "Edit" -> Find Previous" may be used to step to the next/previous match.
You cannot import PDF documents into yEd. Moreover, we are not aware of any application that can convert a PDF document into a GraphML file. The only option here is to manually re-create the diagram in yEd. yEd can import raster images (JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG, etc) but also SVG documents as node symbols, please see yed.yworks.com/support/qa/48/ for more information. However, it is not possible to import a diagram from an image file into yEd. You need to manually re-create the diagram.

Why yeD appears in a package with LucidChart? Aren't these competitors or? Or are they merging?

edge is limited to be between exactly two nodes. IE you can't make a connection line between three nodes. I understand the pitfall this was made by, but it makes the abstract model created in yEd by this limitation not like the real model. Work arounds exist by making tiny nodes that don't appear in the drawing - but in the representation now you will then add many more problems. Alternatively more edges can be added to overlap, but that is also not like the real model. So many good things, but yet quite broken
How do I add the properties view on the lower right hand side?
Thank you for your message. The properties view is available by default. If you accidentally removed that view, you can use "Windows" -> "Properties View" to add it again. If that does not work, quit yEd, delete file yed-3_5.layout in your yEd profile directory, and start yEd again. Please see "Help" -> "About" for the location of the yEd profile directory.

Can I create a edge that doesn't connect another node?
Thank you for your message! When you create a diagram in yEd, then an edge always connects two nodes: the source node and the target node. (Well, in the case of a self-loop, these nodes are identical, i.e. source node and target node are actually the same.) Creating an edge with one of its ends "up in the air", i.e. not connected to any node, actually isn't possible in yEd. What you can do, however, to mimick an unconnected edge end, is making the respective node "invisible" by setting the background color and the border color to "no color". Additionally, you can also remove any label of the node.

I agree, looks like Mr. Wurst didn't have any concept behind his tutorial. He also skips a lot of useful steps a beginner requires. I heard that people find yEd unintuitive to use and one more clumsy tutorial (of the too many on YT) isn't gonna make this better, so no wonder yEd is an underrated tool that goes under the radar of potential users unnecessarily.

Setting video speed to 1.25 helps in these cases.

Thanks, very informative! However, the presenter is almost unbearable. Ahm, ähm, äh. Fishing for words, etc. Sad that this was not prepared upfront.
