@@Michigananglingadventures Thanks man! Really glad you enjoy it. It’s fun for me, and hopefully most of it is fun for some folks to watch and will inspire people to get out and fish, or just enjoy the outdoors however they like to enjoy it.
I love to go fishing. The tiny fish in this video I would call bait. My question was why target bait as the goal? To look at them? I guess it takes all kinds.
@ To look at them is part of it. If you’ve heard of the hobby of birding, which I hadn’t heard of most of my life, it’s where people go looking for birds all across the country, with binoculars and such. Most of them don’t even take their pictures. If they see them and identify them, then they mark them down and they keep a life list of birds that they have seen. Microfishermen and species fishermen do the same thing with fish, only we catch them and take their picture before throwing them back. The bigger part of it for me is the challenge. I’ve spent most of my life fishing for the biggest fish I can find, and that is super fun and challenging, and I still love it. And I still try to do as much of that as I can. But I find it much more difficult to find all these different species of microfish, and much more difficult to catch them. If I wanted to catch a keeper redeye bass, I can go out tomorrow and catch one almost guaranteed, with very little effort. But if I wanted to catch a 2-inch redeye chub, well that took me about three years to do, and it would probably take another three years if I tried to catch another one. I guess the other big thing about it is that there’s always something new. There’s always a new species that I can go looking for with these microfish that I’ve never caught or seen before, because I’ll never be able to catch them all. The bigger the fish, the fewer the species you can catch in one outing, and sometimes it gets a little boring catching the same thing over and over again. But sometimes it isn’t boring - sometimes it’s exactly what I want to be doing, trying to catch a limit o gamefish. Just depends on my mood, I guess.
Lets GO... hell yeah
Awesome micro fishing! And great channel I’ll definitely subscribe

why....
Fishing isn't for everyone, microfishing isn't for everyone. Hopefully if you watch some of the videos, you'll know why I love it.
