- Pigstep is one of the best song in Minecraft. It was a banger and differrent style from C418 Music's. Well, Lena Raine, The Creator of Pigstep create another banger music to the Minecraft 1.18 Update. Will Pigstep still best in minecraft community? Or Otherside will beat it? Let's find out!

Pigstep is more of a funky vibe and is more of a action song while other side is more of a calming exploring vibe and give that "go there is much more exploring to be done"

C418's compositions felt perfect for early minecraft as they hold a very mysterious and laid back vibe. Lena's fit the new fleshed out complex world of Minecraft we know today
I really like lena raine, i think her music is amazing, but i feel like minecraft would not be the same without c418

I would say that I really like music like Sweden or every song from C418 but Lena Raine isn't the same. Ofc I'm not saying that Lena's song aren't good or pretty but they aren't type of music I like and if I have to choose from Pigstep and Otherside i would say Pigstep bc it's more energic and feel more mysterious than Otherside.

As most of people have said, it's hard to put them side by side and decide which is the best. One thing I can say is that they both use really nice chord progressions, which are complex enough to be enjoyed by every music enjoyer, even if repetitive. Good job, Lena Raine!

Pigstep gives you that “get ready, you’re entering a dangerous place” and in a way gives you a rush of energy. Otherside gives you that “keep going, there is much to be seen and enjoyed”

I seen someone say this but I totally agree. C418 nailed the simplicity and vibes of old-school basic Minecraft, Lena's fleshed out songs add to the detail in the world. I love them both.

By what I mean: neither are better than the other and are masters of their own crafts
One of my best memories from a Stream was when the streamer was building his underground base and in the background the Music Disc of otherside was playing. The world was just perfect in the moment
I may be partial towards Pigstep, but these two songs are totally different. There is one thing to note here -
Pigstep is more adventurous while otherside is a bit calmer. This makes the songs different and good in their own way.
In my opinion I think otherwise is better because I think it gets you in a good mood while pigstep to me is dark and gloomy

They both fit the updates they were released in. Pigstep sounds like it comes from the nether, and otherside sounds like cave ambience gone musical.
Otherside also fits the majestic, airy cliffs part of Caves and Cliffs pretty well too.

Pigstep is funky and got a perfectly catchy beat while Otherside sounds uplifting and makes me feel nostalgic for something I’m still playing, they are both awesome at what they are trying to do so I can’t really pick a favorite

At the end of the current school year, I am building the school with some of my friends in minecraft to show off in assembly, and I will be editing it into a video and the song in the background will be otherside.

I feel like otherside would fit PERFECTLY for the Minecraft end credits. Imagine you just beat the ender dragon as the credits are scrolling down and you hear this! It feels like a great fit for an ending song.

Pigstep is perfect if you are fighting, actually a lot of map makers in minecraft added this song to the boss battles.
And i think otherside is perfect like an end credits' song.
This is just my opinion, i respect Everyone.
I think it would be perfect for exploration timelapses, like someone running around trying to get into the stronghold of a survival world, then there are a lot of clips of him getting there.

And
Otherside is mosty (for me) used for Relaxing, Chilling Scenes.
Can we talk about how these disc both fit their themes so freaking well
Pigstep is still amazing but I think Otherside is my favorite. Especially at the end where the tone shifts to intense and mysterious, like you just stumbled across something massive deep underground

I like pigstep more because 1. it feels way more rewarding after finally finding a chest in a bastion with the disc and 2. It feels more distant and extraterrestrial because it’s from another dimension
I’m probably leaning more towards Pigstep (I’m a sucker for thumping base) but the second half of Otherside is pretty high up there too!

Otherside reminds me of the fun times I had with my friends in the Xbox edition of Minecraft when we would explore and get hyped for winning mini games and get hyped for building bases

Lena Raine - Otherside begins as an uplifting and happy but repetitive retro-style piece. Upon reaching the second half, however, the song begins to progress to be darker and sadder, eventually cutting off abruptly. A clock can be heard ticking rapidly towards the end.
Both Melodies are masterpieces and they are very different. We can’t actually compare them and I like both of them equally.
I feel like pigstep is a bit overrated, but, honestly, both are amazing.

Pigstep reminds me of being extremely careful because one wrong step and you lose everything you have on you
Otherside at first seems nice like exploring the surface of the overworld, without many real dangers then it fades into a more quite tune which reminds me of mining in caves which gets louder as if you suddenly get attacked by a bunch of mobs without an end in sight until there is silence.....you just died to a baby zombie
Honestly, Pigstep gives me the In the depths of hell while Other side looks like it would fit in the sky or on the ground (maybe the end)
I think otherside is better cause its more calming and the beat drop is really nice

Both songs are a bop, Pigstep is awesome, intense, and gives you the feeling that you are now somewhere where your life is on the line, and when I listen to the second half of Otherside, I imagine staring into the sunset and, when the last ray of sunlight flickers away, you jump forth, ready to face the challenges and troubles ahead.
in other side there is a lot of repeating for the tune, in pigstep there’s a bunch of different tunes and rhythms, pigstep makes it feel more lively so i’d say pigstep would be better

I like how she titled both discs. Pigstep gives like a menacing vibe while it is mixed with dubstep. While Otherside shows that the other side of the Nether is a more peaceful world. Beautiful scenery, and a very calm vibe.
Pigstep is like you in an action scene with action music. Other side is like exploring and are on an adventure. There are really equal, but I might go with Otherside

Otherside. Its compatible with almost every minecraft environment because it has the theme that you are exploring something you've never seen before, and it's beautiful. It has a "go with the flow feel" to the song. Pigstep has some good beats but I only see myself feeling with it if I was in the nether.

Considering that both discs are supposed to represent two different dimensions, Pigstep being the Nether, and Otherside being the Overworld, then this makes me wonder: What will the music disc that represents The End sound like?

i think they're both great depending on the type of music you like you'll have different favorites. if you want funky ish music "Pigstep", if you want adventurey type of music the "other side" is the one. my personal favorite is "other side"

Lena Raine did a great job with the Celeste soundtrack and I must say the Minecraft tracks are amazing too.
(I would like to hear more of the original Minecraft tracks though as I feel some, but not all, of Lena's tracks while excellent, don't fit the game as well as the original tracks.)
I'm for otherside it is just more calming and that's what I like but if I was in the nether pigstep would be better
It all Depends, if you like the Calm one then the "Otherside" is probably better
but if you like the Cool type or an epic song then "Pigstep" is better
