Mike Sarraille is a retired U.S. Navy SEAL officer and a former enlisted Recon Marine and Scout-Sniper. A graduate of the University of Texas McCombs MBA Program, he is the founder and CEO of Talent War Group, a leading management consulting and executive search firm, which specializes in creating sustainable world-class leadership development programs within companies and sourcing executive talent to drive organizations to the next level. He is also the Founder and CEO of ATTA, a mindset apparel company, whose motto is ‘One Step ATTA Time,’ advocating physical, mental, and spiritual fitness in order to sustain optimal performance.
After completing the Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) Training, Mike served in SEAL Team THREE, where he led major combat operations during the Battle of Ramadi in 2006 and the Battle of Sadr City in 2008.
In 2008-2009, Mike served as the SEAL Junior Officer Training Course (JOTC) Director at BUD/s, the head of leadership development for new SEAL officers where he coached, mentored, and prepared those officers to lead combat operations during the Global War on Terrorism. Mike was then assessed and selected for assignment to Naval Special Warfare Development Group (DEVGRU), part of the elite Joint Special Operations Command, in support of global counter-terrorism operations. Mike completed a total of ten (10) combat deployments in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
Mike is an Ambassador for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which provides fully-funded college educations and additional educational opportunities, “Cradle to Career” (Preschool to College), to surviving children of special operations forces lost in the line of duty as well as children of all medal of honor recipients. SOWF also provides financial support to severely wounded, ill, and injured special operations personnel.
He founded and served on the board of directors for the VETTED Foundation, a cutting-edge executive-level transition program for high-performing veterans, and was a former principal at Echelon Front, a management consulting firm alongside the co-authors of Extreme Ownership, Jocko Willink, and Leif Babin.
Mike enlisted in the Marine Corps after high school. He became a Recon Marine and also served as a scout sniper. He was selected for the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program (MECEP). Still, after finishing his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Texas A&M University, he sought a commission in the Navy to try out for the SEAL Teams.
After completing the Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) Training, Mike served in SEAL Team THREE, Task Unit Bruiser, the most decorated Special Operations Task Unit of the Iraq war, where he led major combat operations during the Battle of Ramadi in 2006. In 2008, Mike returned to Iraq and led historic combat operations during the Battle of Sadr City.

I served with this dude and we went to jump school together. Even as a you g SEAL officer he was still rocking a green skivvy shirt and when he was asked about it he said the same exact thing, “once a Marine always a Marine”. There is another cool pub story but that a beer conversation…

Very powerful interview, thank you for sharing. My father is a retired chief from the Air Force. Granted he’s not a navy seal or marine but the mentality my dad has is very similar to this man’s. Almost sounded like the lectures I’ve been receiving for 27 years. But I’m so incredibly thankful for everything my dad has taught me and I wouldn’t be the man I am today if it wasn’t for him.

Never thought about empathy as being a dial, that you one should be intentional with how and when the dial should be turned up or down and is dependant on the situation. I think that it's a great quality however too much empathy or not enough can cause real problems in ones life. Great advice.

Thank you Tim, my father came home from Saipan forever changed. My father had been hit by a grenade attack and somehow survived. The surgeon that saved his life was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously. After several more surgeries back in San Diego he was discharged and went back home to Lubbock Texas and married my mother. We pulled fragments from his body literally till he passed in 2009 my Dad was quiet about his service and said, “Never brag about anything but be gracious about who you served with and remember the heroes, he would then say he couldn’t have done it without our family”.

From Sun Tsu and Other's writtings on the Art of War, ' The Highth of a Warrior's Skill is Turning an enemy into a friend without fighting them ' . And so since I have done that and since I am the Only Person, in the History of The UDT/S.E.A.L. program, so far, that has ever been asked by Navy S.E.A.L.s if I wanted to be a U.S. Navy S.E.A.L. , I will say in all Truth, Both Mr. Kennedy and his Guest, are Top Notch Operators. And following their advice is one of the best things you can do. 😊❤✌ With the exception of Studying Tony Robbins because I have seen him confuse ' Passion ' with an ' Over Inflated Ego ' . And know that an ' An Over Inflated Ego ' can and often does hurt the person who has it. With respect Mr. Kennedy and Guest, you would be better off studying Taoism and the Teachings of the Dalai Lama and Reading the Old Stories from Irish Celtic Tradition and The Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto, than most of this New Fangled stuff, those books and the Books by Stephen Covey and Bruce Lee. And so as it was in NSW, Hoo Yah. Gentlemen. 😊❤✌

It’s so clear why when Jesus heard the Centurion and said “Greater faith than this I hath not seen in all Jerusalem”.
Order. But if this man had Christ first in his life he would be one of the greatest Saints in History. Don’t misunderstand my profound respect for him and his sacrifice for our beloved country however he has a rare understanding of an orderly life built on hierarchies, discipline and self sacrifice to the the level of a religious zealot but without the ultimate hierarchy. It would not surprise me if one day Jesus would call him or another rare soul like him to rebuild his Church. How we truly turn this thing around.
He understands that a virtue (natural or supernatural) is in a habit not in the occasional act.
Just look at his face..put him in a habit.
    St. Ignatius of Loyola
    St. Francis of Assisi
    St. Thomas Beckett
    Etc....
I hope you read this Mike.
Thank you for all your sacrifices for our great country, your brothers in arms and those you saved whom you never met but because your bravery are alive and well.
God bless you Mike your family and all your brothers in Arms.

Integrity and jesus does only i hope we can move forward as a nation in theses trying times with out war and move toward to prospects of peace and also we can pull our heads out of or asses
