Every tyer have their max speed rating. "R" rating is given for radial type tyers.
Eg. for radial tyer - 140/70 62P R
Eg. for non- radial - 140/70 62P

140/70 17 zoom XL is worst tyre for FZS... It affects pickup, mileage, rear suspension...
140/60 R17 Ceat Zoom Rad and 140/60 R17 Apollo Alpha S1 steel belted radial are very good options, best for handling, stability, grip in dry and wet, smooth ride quality...
130/70 R17 Apollo Alpha S1 is one of the best options for FZS... It puts less stress on engine, gives mileage 50-55 on highway speeds between 60-80.... Good for chain sprocket life, suspension, good ride quality, light handling, slightly increase in ground clearance ......but slightly increased breaking distance just 1 meter which is unnoticeable.. Looks slightly slimmer but not so slim because of FZS's wider rims...

i won't suggest you to go for such a big tyre coz then again it will increase the weight n hence will affect your mileage. Go for 150 only if that is the stock deal

Will not recommend size 130-70-17 in NS 160. You can go for size 120-80-R17.

bharath k v till the time you are not increasing the size the mileage won’t be affected. Buy a radial one that suits your budget it will work well on wet roads also.

Richin Krishna AP look bro Mileage is going to go down as your engine gets old due to the ware n tear & adulteration in fuel
Talking of performance the difference in both the tyre weight is negligible so I don’t think so that you will feel the diff in fact what i felt is the grip has increased well mileage n all seems to be the same.
If you go for 150 then it might affect but for 140 I haven’t observed it.

yes it does effect your mileage, but then it is proportional to the size of tyre that you are going to use. 250cc will work. i don't feel so you really need to increase it for 125cc

For cornering it is better to go with a Radial with a curve profile.
Michelin is the best for this but it is expensive

Not that great got it replaced with Pilot Street as it slips a lot in heavy rain conditions. It is good for light rains and summers.

A.P Moto Riders bhai I feel 150/60 is sufficient, coz 250 ke liye thoda bada hojayega n cornering main itna maza nai ayega. Performance wise itna koi farak nai ata hai but still better hai ki you go with 150/60 and install Michelin Pilot street Radial instead of MRF you will love it!

There are two types of tyres :
1. Radial tyre
2. Cross Ply tyre
Radial is good for cornering and grip due to flexibility. It also consist of soft rubber compound but this makes it more prone to punctures and cuts.
Cross Ply tyres are good for roads and off road because the sidewall of a crossply tyre is more rigid than that of a radial tyre so is more resilient at preventing sidewall damage. Also, it is cheaper than radial!
