this was an excellent money saving fix! I went from needing to send our Jura F7 machine in for repair ($400) to super gluing the plastic cap on the drainage valve assembly shaft! Thank you, well done Nick Nicoloudis!

How do you remove the white cap. ? Once I pull the spring and cap back. The shaft is still there

I have a brand new D6 and it seems to be leaking into the tray when using hot water. Is it the same fix?

When in cleaning cycle, the drainage valve stays open the entire time and all the solution goes in to the tray, none in to the spout. When making coffee, the water flows properly through the brew group and in to the spout. Any ideas? I'm hoping it's not the control board! It's the old original F7.

I have the same issues with my jura c9. Did you find what the issue was with your unit?

@@NotSadAwesomeInstead I overhauled the brew group including the drainage valve and that took care of it. Probably the drainage valve pin was sticking and the new o rings solved it. I use plenty of food grade lube on all the o rings every time.

@@mguerramd Appreciate your reply! I got mine used and it's got 10k brews in it so definitely deservers a full overhaul 😄 That should solve the drainage issue then.
These old juras are workhorses by the way. My workplace has the same model with 60k brews and makes better coffee than mine because that was well maintained.

@@NotSadAwesomeInstead Yeah Jura should just always keep the old F7/F9 model in the lineup forever. As the intro model. They work great, are easy to maintain, and it’s easy to get parts. Once you do your first overhaul, you realize how simple it is. I would say do a preemptive overhaul every two years. If you get water on the countertop, remove the top and sides and brew a cup to find the leak. Easy peasy.
