DOD 250 or the AC booster for me. I've owned every version of the 250 besides the original gray one haha. Super killer pedal, really under appreciated currently. Sad even the re issue is out of production with all the digitech Tom Kramm stuff getting discontinued.
Unfortunately all your tests were with the rear pickup ONLY. That's an easy job as almost anything will sound great on a LP rear humbucker. The real problem is to find a good overdrive for the front pickup which would cut out that typical low end making the sound muddy. I'm looking for that kind of old PAF LP overdriven sound, dried out, not wolly. THAT's not an easy job and it's definitely worth a big full video!
Great demo into already mildly+ overdriven amp. Most noticable differences in upper registers in imho. Tone without pedals was definitely different, but made sense after pedals engaged.
I like them all for what they do, but for me I would rather have the Blues Jr. and what mod they did. I had know idea that that little thing could sound that good. I would love to see a history video of this amp. how loud was this when you recorded it? Its a great sound.
This little Pro Jr is a great sounding amp. Here’s an interview I did with my friend who did the modifications if you are interested. He builds a lot of the amps I play through. th-cam.com/video/xLyJirMPZKM/w-d-xo.html
Tone city makes a pedal SWEET CREAM, great for That semi heavy blues thing with a les paul, not as course as these, more beano, type stuff....Actually its dumble sounding also, its transparent so keeps that les paul tone....
@@ToddMihan and for 40 bucks cant go wrong....just at first you might feel like its broke or something, because its not as voiced as a tube screamer, or od/1 or the popular ones, its different, once you dial it in? its transparent, seems to bring the best out of your amp....
DOD 250 and Boss Blues Driver sounded perfect to my ears.
Really liked the Blues Driver and DOD

Really dig them both too. I had the 250 sitting around forever not using it. It sounds great!

Awesome!
Thanks, Jack!

Thanks. You got me to narrow down my choices a little. lol
Cool playing ;)
I like the OCD but could be talked into the DOD!

Nice. I’ll have to check that out.

hmmm i have a Boss Blues Driver currently , and am considering trying out a DOD 250. do you guys think the DOD OD250 has more gain than the BD2?
nope
👍🇺🇲❤DOD
All sound essentially the same
why the hell would anyone think a signal modifier test would be discernable without a clean loop as a base. this is a garbage test.
AWH… no chance to find this video helpful starting with the sound that is so dirty…
