My passport is lost and I'm unable to report it lost because the number provided on the official government site just plays a recording telling me that no one can take my call, and will never let me wait on hold. This obviously means there's no way I'll ever be able to report it lost without standing in line for 8 hours at a passport Canada office, only to be told that I'll need to come back another day to apply for a new one and wait another 8 hours. Either that or I'll be given the same number and told I can only report it lost over the phone and I'll be unable to get a new one at all. How is the government of a first world country so unbelievably incompetent?

Even if it’s the same place, do I need include two separate addresses of the same place since they had different time periods? For section 7B where to I included my current ongoing occupation? Do I put it in the the same place as my pervious occupations in the past 2 years.
Any part 2 for section 7? Can't find information how to fill addresses correctly if moved in the past 2 years, not sure if I just skip the current address since there is no end date.

There’s a huge delay given that restrictions are being lifted and a huge number of people are both apply and renewing their passports for travel. The customer service representative from Service Canada told me there’s an additional 10-15 business day delay on top of the 20 business days it would normally take for processing for mail-in passports. Since you posted this comment two weeks ago, i suspect you should receive it by now or next week. I hope that answer your question :)

From my understanding, if it’s a new passport application and the old passport is expired, then you don’t need to include it in your application. You only include it if it’s still valid.

You might be able to renew your passport if you have an expired one. The procedure is different from applying for a new passport.
