- Animate only part of a sentence in PowerPoint.
When animating text in PowerPoint, the animation is applied to the entire paragraph. There is no way to animate only part of a sentence.
Fortunately, there is a workaround, and in this video tutorial, we demonstrate how to animate only some of the words in a sentence.
The animation effect shown is the Font Color emphasis effect. This is used to emphasise certain words of a famous Winston Churchill quotation.

Excellent. You're welcome Joy.
You're the GOAT! But deadline is for tomorrow and wanted to have a bunch of slides to have this effect, too much work for the short delay.
😉😜
Thank you sir.
You're welcome.
Thank you!!!!
You're welcome.
Thank you for posting this work-around. I have my second version of the sentence start "after previous" rather than "on click". Is there anyway to soften the 'jolt' during the transistion between the two versions? I have the duration set to 0.01 seconds, but the screen still "blinks blank" in between animations.
Try switching the animation order, so that the animation that makes the second version appear happens before the animation that makes the first version disappear.
Thanks for your video. Still I find it incredibly complicated and not worth my time. An update would alleviate this common problem among users.
For sure Angela. Maybe one day :)
its easy
