Perhaps a more “fun” video to do would be cream blushes in unusual colours? Like the purple one from Em Cosmetics, for example. Or, I don’t know if this is your style at all, but sort of like your celebrity make up bag series, but instead inspired by looks from movies and art? It wouldn’t be exact, I imagine, but I think it would be interesting to hear your take on that.
omg I love all of these! As an EMT, personally, rare beauty blushes last sooo long. blush is still in tact after a 24 hour shift all while wearing a mask!
@@matildaonvideo I would say both due to their pigment! ofc matte lasts a little bit more, but I find that the shade Grateful is not only dewy but very long lasting! and thank you! :) Have you tried their purple blush in Faith and Grace??
After your "Hello there", the 2nd thing I always look forward to is your nail colour which is always in harmony with the theme of the video 😍 Also, I usually use whatever I put on my lips as my blush as well, but this is making me consider getting some dedicated cream blush products!
Your videos are always my safe, comfortable soothing videos. Whenever things are hard, I really enjoy snuggling in blankets and listen to your gentle voice !
I’ll be interested to see some multi-taskers in the next edition of this series. You always have great suggestions for those with your preference for more minimalist make up. I’ve recently been looking into the Byredo colorsticks as a possible multi tasker (although personally I think the colors available are ones I’d use more for eyes). As always loved the video, can’t wait for more!
Thank you Alexandra, so nice of you! I'll be mulling over some multitasking picks for next time 😉 I haven't tried any Byredo makeup but it looks beautiful! x
I love cream blushes, it’s all I wear. Thanks for your suggestions. As always so well filmed that we can really see colour and texture, so pleasing! ♥️
I’m open to whichever texture, but I would love to see blushes that can do double duty as bronzer too. That color that is a combo of bronzer and blush tone in one. Maybe a spring/summer color and a fall/winter color.
I would love this! I know Matilda has mentioned ILIA's Illuminator in Summertime as a stick that can do double duty for blush and bronzer. I'd love to hear more recs!
I would love to see your vanity and how you organise these precious products xx My vision is that you have a big showcase at home where you display your priced possessions hehe
I love this category. I am having a hard time finding cheek products that have a long lasting effect. I have the milk blush in ‘werk’ and I find myself reapplying a lot throughout the day. Maybe a video that showcases all the long-lasting cheeks would be fun. I am wondering if creme to powders last longer? Definitely curious to see. 😋🤩
Thanks Vanessa! Matte cream blushes usually last longer, covered in the first episode in this series ☺️👍 You're right about cream to powders too! Wear time is always tricky to comment on because there are so many variables for each person (skin type, skincare, other makeup you're wearing, climate etc), but generally speaking, cream products aren't the way to go if you want something to last all day - they'll usually sink into the skin slightly x
Are you still using the shiseido minimalist whipped powder blush? Im obsessed with them. Especially 08, 03, 06 and of corse 04 vor a Little bronzed Touch! ❤️❤️
I will be honest the only non powder blush I’ve tried is the nudestix sunkissed which lasts a long time on my skin....the rest don’t seem to have staying power. But these are all so so pretty 😍 that em cosmetics one looks beautiful. I still am crossing my fingers and waiting for the Victoria Beckham cheekies review
Love the video Matilda - it’s so well done as always! In terms of other video suggestions for this cream blush series, I’d really appreciate your top picks/suggestions of cream blushes based on different skin undertones?! Something I struggling with a lot (being v cool) is that most blushes look beautiful demonstrated on others but orange and muddy on me haha! Xx
You know you’re a cream blush lover when your collection rivals matilda’s. The only one I don’t own, between this and the matte video, is the Jillian Dempsey. And yet…I keep collecting more!
Have you tried any of the Saie beauty products? I’m intrigued but have only seen one beauty influencer try one of the products. She liked the tinted moisturizer. They have a number of products.
Have you tried LYS beauty’s formula? Also do you know a very neutral pink for a fresh faced type look (i had magic hour from tower 28 but it leaned too peachy for me). Totally intrigued by merit beauty now btw. thnx xoxo
my favourite thing about cream blush is that as the day goes on, it gets MORE natural looking! Does anyone else feel their make-up looks BETTER 4 hours after applying? 💄Amazing vid! Really want to try the RareBeauty liquid blushes 😍
Thank you Kirsty! Good point - a lot of people complain that cream blush doesn't last all day, but I like the slightly 'lived in' natural look it creates instead ☺️👍 x
ive been so into cream blushes recently especially the fenty, rare beauty and charlotte ones! I really wanna try the em cosmetics ones, they look amazing
What are your thoughts on merit brush? I find ever since washing it, it doesn't feel the same anymore. It's not fluffy when I originally bought it. It feel stiffer. Have you experienced this? (If you have tried the brush)
wow!!!! i loved most of these products and the colors you showed, how do i decide on which new additions!! love love love this episode. spoke to me. recently switched to dewy blushes for some reason i used to be a die hard matte dark blushes and now im addicted to lighter colors and light browns that are dewy and glossy. perfect timing
I’ve been waiting for this ever since winter came and slaughtered my oily summer skin, turning it into a cracked, parched wasteland. Thank you, Matilda!
Nothing better than looking naturally flushed, like you’re actually alive on a Monday morning lol great video!! I hope you do a grwm style video for the holidays like you did a few years ago ♥️
Hey Matilda, speaking of dew, what would be your recommendation for a subtle, glowy cream highlighter for fair skin? I want to put one on my Christmas wish list because I currently don’t own any highlighter at all! It shouldn’t be too thick and balmy but I like a hydrated look with very subtle luminous shimmer maybe? No obvious glitter though, I think you don’t like that either. I really always trust your recommendations!
airy whipped options next please!!! also idk if you forgot about my idea I posted a while ago but to make a video comparing your warm toned vs cool toned red products. its just so fascinating for me to see lips and cheek products in red come in cool tones also so I wanted to see them swatched next to each other since everyone generally sees red as a warm tone
The AOA Cream Blushes from Shop Miss A are truly remarkable - and they're only $1!! They continuously get overlooked but they're honestly one of the best formulas I've ever tried and that price can't be beat.
I still love that Charlotte Tilbury lip and cheek glow! I caved during the Sephora sale and grabbed another Tower 28 blush- they are incredible too! ☺️
I really enjoy Joy by rare beauty, even though I have combo/oily skin. If I powder over it and use a setting spray on top it does stay on nicely on me. I personally don't like using a powder blush on top, it makes it way too streaky and patchy. I have to say that I am very interested in the Charlotte Tilbury blush, the colour looks stunning.
you are so right about the em cosmetics serum blush, but if your entire makeup collection was on fire and you could only save one, would you save the serum blush or the so soft blushes? also i would love to see some cream blush color round ups or even drugstore/affordable favorites!
Hitting me with the hard questions Emma 😱🔥 As of the past couple of months, I actually think the So Soft blushes might be slightly in front... I just love how easy blush sticks are to use and the texture/look of theirs is gorgeous! Ooh I like the idea of focusing on blush colour groups as well as formulas. Thank you! x
I use Barry M fresh face cheek and lip tint in the shade summer rose. A bit like glossier cloud paints. Gives a natural dewy flush to the cheeks however its not very wearable as a lip tint
Good question Jennifer! Unfortunately I'm not really qualified to give advice for other skin types as I'm not a makeup artist, but I'd ask whether your cheeks ever get oily? If not, these might be ok, but slightly more matte cream blushes (covered in a previous video) are probably a better pick for oily or combination skin 👍 x
I have combo skin and I have some cream blushes: Em Cosmetics, Lisa Eldridge, Salt and Love palette from Natasha. All of them are beautiful on the skin. Salt and Love cream blush can be built. Em and Lisa just a half of drop.
Cheek to Cheek is my favourite ILIA blush colour! Love the application tips, Matilda! 😍 Sometimes dewy CAN be too dewy and it makes me look sweaty 😂 Have you tried the Daniel Sandler watercolour blushes?
I have combination skin but I still love dewy cream blushes (I lightly apply translucent powder where I tend to get oily). I don't normally wear highlighter but I like the subtle glass-like skin effect, so I like using dewy blushes or a glowy base product. I definitely want to try a few more shades of the em cosmetics serum blush in the future. I only own Rose Milk atm, but I've my eye on Venetian Rose & Little Lilac. 💖
I've been using a lot of my Nudestix products lately. I picked up a set on sale a couple of months ago that contained a Magnetic Plush Paint, a Nudies Bloom, a Nudies Glow, and a magnetic lip & cheek pencil. I am enjoying them all. The staying power is not incredible, but since I am putting on and taking off a mask, eating, drinking, etc., I can't blame the product too much. The plush paint has the most staying power. The highlighter (Nudies Glow) is lovely, and safe for us on eyelids and lips, too, which I appreciate.
I love my Nudestix blush in Sweet Peach Peony - I sheer it out and works really nicely on oily skin. The longevity is pretty good too! I'm forever looking for nude blushes, I think I'll be trying the Clinique blush in nude pop next.
Great video , I thought ‘now you’re talking my language ‘ when I saw the title of the video. Are you tempted to get any of those new Victoria Beckham cheeky blush sticks ? They look nice . I’ve not bitten the bullet yet
Thank you! Glad the title grabbed you 😄 Absolutely! I've been testing some VB blushes for the past week so I'm sure they'll pop up in a video in future, or on my Instagram @matildaonvideo soon x
These are gorgeous, but my faves are still the Glossier Cloud Paint and the Shiseido Whipped Powder Blush (which I just found out is being discontinued). 😫
@@matildaonvideo Oh no. I went on Shiseido’s website to get the correct name of the blush to comment on your video, and it said it was being discontinued and that once they were sold out, would not be restocked. I need to scramble to pick up a couple of backups!
Thanks Matilda. I own Rare Beauty Joy and am still learning to apply it properly. Definitely going to try and remember to scrape off the excess as I always look like a clown initially before I blend it! 🤣
It can be easy to end up in clown territory with that formula Shona, don't worry! 😄 I still find there's plenty of colour on the doefoot sponge even after I scrape all of the product off. Maybe try 1 dot per cheek too, sometimes 2 is too much for me as well! x
I still remember your first cream blush video, how time flies! I did want to ask, do you find that Ilia's cream blush is sticky on the eyelids if you want to use it for a bit of color? I've been wanting to give the brand a chance(:
Thank you for sticking around for so long Lizz! 😄 Yes, quite right - their Multisticks are a little tacky on the lids and will crease, but I don't mind that when the glowy effect is so nice x
And now that I’ve actually watched… I’m not sure if you can get Milani but if so, I love their liquid blushes, which are nice and dewy. In particular, 110 Nude Flush is like a dewier Glossier Dusk!
i love the milk glow oil sticks! i have one in solar, which is like a hot pink color and is one of the more pigmented sticks (or maybe i just put a lot on hahaha)
Yes, one of their cream blushes! It's such a lovely shade, called b.lovely funnily enough 😂 It was in my 2019 Makeup Favourites and several other videos, you can type Lilah B into the search bar on my channel homepage x
I saved my whole salary cut off to buy rare beauty blushes. And.I.Dont.Regret it! It took me your and amanda Z's video last year to do it and it was so worth it.
The dropper can be a little bit fiddly! I noticed the mechanism improved when they launched new shades late last year, but I've been loving the ease of swiping on their sticks lately 😍 x
I’m aware that you don’t tend to wear the really light pinks but I don’t suppose you could do an updated video on these shades, I’m just not sure what’s out there in these colours anymore since the shades seem to have fallen out of style 🤍
I love cream blush, but I have to stick to formulas which contain neither oil nor fragrance, which eliminates a lot of options! Thank goodness for Fenty, and the Em Cosmetics sticks look promising.
Oh Matilda how you count the blush lol. Sephora VIB sale was good to me lol. If you’re taking requests for 2022 mins is more content. Maybe more edits as well. Maybe a video here and there to show what you used that month. I’ve become such a high end snob since finding your channel and I’m not sorry lol.
I'd love to hear what you picked up in the sale Sandra! Oh I *wish* I could share more videos each week but sadly one is all I can manage on top of the rest of my work as a content creator. I run my own business without any help so I wear a lot of hats behind the scenes 😅🧢👒🎩 x
Perhaps a more “fun” video to do would be cream blushes in unusual colours? Like the purple one from Em Cosmetics, for example. It wouldn’t be exact, I imagine, but I think it would be interesting to hear your take on that.
I love purple blush. Fenty and em come to mind. I don’t think she wears any of that. Purple and blue highlighters are my favorite as well.
With purple blush i think of Trixie Cosmetics' trixie stix in shade Angel
Korean and Japanese beauty have had purple blushes for many years 🤣 it's something western makeup companies like to take inspiration from a lot
I don’t wear foundation so cream blush is my absolute favorite! Thank you for these recommendations, I love dusty rose/terracotta shades 😌
Thank you! You're definitely in the right place for those kind of colours, I love them too 😍 x
omg I love all of these! As an EMT, personally, rare beauty blushes last sooo long. blush is still in tact after a 24 hour shift all while wearing a mask!

Often times if your cosmetics are not lasting long, it has to do with your skincare techniques.

I saved my whole salary cut off to buy rare beauty blushes. And.I.Dont.Regret it! It took me your and amanda Z's video last year to do it and it was so worth it.
Good for you Mika! Very happy that Amanda and I could help you find a blush you love ☺️ x
I love my EM Cosmetics blush but I really wish the cap/dropper wasn’t broken/wobbly. Gonna have to give the other products in this video a try!!
The dropper can be a little bit fiddly! I noticed the mechanism improved when they launched new shades late last year, but I've been loving the ease of swiping on their sticks lately 😍 x
I'm also discovering Merit's Beverly Hills! Very sheer on my skin and I've been swirling my ring finger on top of the round to swipe on my eyes :)
Yes Erin! We love a bit of blush on the eyes 🥰👏 x
I’m aware that you don’t tend to wear the really light pinks but I don’t suppose you could do an updated video on these shades, I’m just not sure what’s out there in these colours anymore since the shades seem to have fallen out of style 🤍
i hope you do a haul make up from the Philippines.
How about a content on blushes that gives natural flush or blushes that give enough sheen that you can forgo highlighters
Great video
My favourite is praline by Laura mercier
I love cream blush, but I have to stick to formulas which contain neither oil nor fragrance, which eliminates a lot of options! Thank goodness for Fenty, and the Em Cosmetics sticks look promising.
I'm glad Fenty helped you find a happy cream blush place! ☺️👍 x
Tower 28 has beautiful dewy blushes.
Yes Wendi, I've heard great things! They're very high on my wishlist to try 👍 x

I love your voice 😇😇😇
No Stila convertible color? 😳😃
Does anyone know a good red eyeliner?
I have a Colourful Eyeliner video on my channel including some red options! I love that category ❤️ x
@@matildaonvideo Thank you!
Ilia always smells s bad goes bad after 6 months and get really hard and impossible to swatch
This hasn’t been my experience at all! I wonder if you got a bad batch 🤔 the one I have from a few years ago still works wonderfully
Interesting! 🤔 I've had some of mine for a lot longer than that and they're still working well. Elleitra might be right, maybe you got unlucky! x
I had to throw out both my Ilia & Milk blushes less than a year after buying. Turned me off both brands.
AMAZING ALL 🤍✨✨
Thanks for watching! ☺️ x
