ThePixi gel blush in flush , darker than the one you used is perfect for mature skin for a very natural flush. Im 69 and it’s so beautiful even on foundation.❤
Lisa and Lisa J Fam: I have a few thoughts/feedback to add from a self-proclaimed blush fanatic who has tried most of the blushes used today: Elf putty blush - try on your lips too! Bermuda on the lips is a fave! The shimmery ones released more recently are overall not as good as the original lineup. The color you chose does matter in regard to performance. Milani - the singles and the palette ARE very different formulas!! The palette is greasy and oily and sheer. The singles are soooo much better. The texture is nice and creamy. Elf blush wand - that shade, pink me up is new-ish to the lineup. It didnt look as metallic as the others. That may actually be one worth a try! LA Girl - i really like that formula. I squeeze a little out on my hand, work it into the brush, blot off onto the hand, then to the cheek. I love the blur it gives the skin! (Great technique for many liquid blush formulas, btw!) Lottie London works this way as well and also has some cute colors. Pacifica- they dry out fast. You may get 2-3 uses and then there's no warming it up or making it usable. Yuck! Same for the bronzer in this formula. Maybelline cheek heat - they dry super fast!--blend quickly or you'll have patchy mess!! The color you used is pretty, but most of them are really metallic, like many of the elf blush wands. **Overall, many of these blushes look great when freshly applied but lack staying power. I find that most often it can be remedied by setting with a similar or complimentary powder blush. Also, the blushes in the tubes are wonderful for mix and matching with others to create custom shades! Makeup playtime is so fun! ❤❤❤
Check out the best video ever of drug store foundations . Nikki La Rose is her name on TH-cam.. She’s the makeup artist that Lisa collaborated with recently with makeup brushes . She has the absolute best foundations video I’ve ever seen.
Lisa you have such beautiful skin that all blushes look great on you! And your personality goes right along with everything you do, you are a sweetheart.
Eyeshadow sticks would be awesome! I love these videos because mass market brands often don’t show swatches, even on their own websites. So this kind of content is really helpful. Thank you ❤
I bevame a new subscriber after i saw you and Nicki. At 81 i really appreciate your catagorizing dry mature and pregerence of intensity in cheek coloring. Learned about two products i will try. Elf putty abd Cover Girl. Nice to have this ptice range qnd excellent products. Thank you.😊❤
Hi Lisa. The Elf cream blush is a really good one. They have come out with such great products this year. The Halo Glow is a another good one. I love your Michele watch. I have it in the white metal. It's such a statement piece. I've never tried the Undone blush. It looks beautiful. The Water Blush is so nice and subtle. Really pretty. I agree with you. Elf has done it again. Not on the same product line, but you have to try the Dirty Pillows collaboration with Jennifer Coolidge. I know that you would love the lip colors. Merry Christmas, my dear sweet friend. ❤💚🎄🎅💋
Lisa, I really enjoyed learning the ins and outs of each of the drugstore blushes in the way you presented them. I'd love to get your take on more types of drugstore products. There are so many options, but you made my choices soooo much easier! Thanks and Merry Christmas! XO ❤
I agree! This format and the amount of time to describe them and how it actually blends and feels on the skin, with the “best of” at the end was an extremely informative and concise presentation. Most just do swatches and don’t go into depth or compare so it’s very disjointed.
I loved this video! I vote for foundations next. Including powder foundations and your thoughts on using powder on mature skin. I have been using the Milani for a while. I like the color, but it doesn’t last long at all. It was my first cream blush and I use Angie - Hot and Flashy blush brush.
Thanks Lisa! You are a trooper! My cheeks would break out so badly just with all the abrasion from the makeup wipes. So thank you for putting your skin through that for us.
Thank you. I watch Nikki Rose videos like this and love them. You really make me want to try undone cream palette. And I already had elf putty blush on my wish list so I will keep it there.
Prices are so out of control these days, so I would love it if you would do more videos like this! I ended up picking up of three your favorites : the ELF Putty Blush, the Cover Girl, and the Undone Beauty. I would have never even considered the last two without seeing your demos. Thanks!
I absolutely love videos like this! I've watched all of Nikki's product reviews at least twice, and will be saving this one to watch again as well. Foundation is my #1 product review request as it's so hard to find a really good formula (and color) match for different skin types, so that's what I'll request next. Thank you! Merry Christmas!
Yes! This was very helpful, not only for my older dry skin but for my granddaughter who is just starting out with her interest in makeup. Thank you. An area that I alway struggle with is concealer for my undereyes. I'd like them brighter but I don't want to look like a ghost. Powder to set doesn't look so good anymore because of wrinkles. So a video on drugstore concealers would be fantastic! 😊
Great video. I’ve been hoping someone would do a complete, well thought out, video on drugstore cream blushes. Really helped me in my decision in purchasing.
Yay! I really loved the elf putty blush on you... and while the color makes you step ever so slightly out of your comfort zone... it was so beautiful on you! Thanks for this- I love the idea of cream blushes- but they just don't stay on my skin- I put them on and half an hour later they are gone... no matter the type of foundation I use- how I set my makeup- they just poof! Disappear! lol!
Hi Lisa---I love these type videos, I've watched all of Nikki's as well. That Elf Putty Blush---I LOVE IT!!! So much so I bought all the colors over the course of a year (HEB 25% coupon days), even the bolder colors (and we are, for the most part, shade twins). I haven't tried the Covergirl one but I've been really loving their new "clean" line, especially their face mist. I think I may have to try this one as sometimes I just want to look a bit fresh without a full face. I hope you, your family and your BK Team have a Happy Christmas---Cheers to 2024!!! See you soon.
This was such an excellent video. Because you use lots of luxury beauty products you are able to better advise us on which drugstore blushes are best. I would love more videos on drugstore products like bronzer, matte eyeshadow palettes, brow products, powders and foundations. Thank you so much for this video
Great video!! Loved this. I was confused about these type blushes but no more. Would love to see your opinions on high end cream blushes as well. Foundation review would be great....I know you have your faves in those.😊
Lisa, you missed my favorite cream blush- NYX Sweet Cheeks Soft Cheek Tint Blush. I actually bought this based on your recommendation from a past video and I ❤ love it. It also has a 4 1/2 star review. ❤
I loved this video. I've been using the Ilia blush stick & I love it but I was hoping to find something less expensive but equally as good. Thank you! I'm in need of a good concealer for my 64 yr old skin so id love to see a concealer video.
Great video Lisa. Really covered a lot of brands. Have you ever made a video on how to pick your concealer shade? I really get overwhelmed picking a shade. Should it match the color of your foundation? Should it be a shade lighter or darker? Light or medium? Hope you had a wonderful holiday. I loved the video collab with Marnie too. ♥️
This was so helpful. I already had the Pixi and was going to give it away until I watched you apply it. I would love it if you could do skin tints and eye liners.
awesome video. Love it. great details on texture, finish, skin type and skill level recommendations. what would thrust it to the moon, would be a longevity test!
Thank you for sharing the cream blushes and how they apply. Now i can choose a new one try i have mature skin to make application is a whole new ballgame.
I really enjoyed watching this video! It's so helpful to know how pigmented the blush is before you buy especially if you haven't tried before! So thank you for doing this! I've also watched Nikki LA Rose videos and I especially liked the drugstore foundation reviews she did! I love to see a drugstore powder foundation & loose setting powder review! Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎄🎅🎉🎁✨️🌟
I loved this video & found it very, very helpful. When I go to the store & see all the options, I'm now prepared with the knowledge of what will work for me. Thank you, Lisa, for reviewing so many different options. I would love to see this as a series, highlighting different categories of drug store products; I especially need help with primers.
I loved this video! I am interested in a contouring sticks and powders. I have always struggled with the contour pressed powders due to the foundations..and I am sure it’s because I didn’t set the foundation with powder, but with my mature skin I’d rather not…maybe my only option then is a stick? Hope this helps with inspo for a video.
Thank you for doing this. Please do a cream/stick foundation comparison. Would love to have a good travel makeup bag with just light and easy to pack products that are small and easy to pack particularly for weather cold ski vacation or Caribbean.
Loved the video. Very helpful format, love the comparison of similar products. And, I got your brushes from hubby for Christmas, can't wait to try them!
I was looking at my cheek heat and its in berry flame, Amazon. Great with no makeup. I remember watching one of your videos a couple years ago and bought it at your suggestion. But I still lovvvve WestmanAtelier in Petal and Ilia in At Last, both stick but glide on easy with a brush on my "mature" 61 year old skin😊 GREAT VIDEO LISA!! Im still going back to your videos with Marnie....sooo much fun like with Nikki LaRose
Please make this a series testing different drugstore categories. I think a valuable lesson was learned.... not to pass judgement on products prior to actually testing them on the skin. This is exactly why influencers need to test products before passing judgement based on packaging, price, color name, color visible through packaging, price, or other subjective measures. Those of us who cannot afford to purchase all luxury products really rely on influencers to evaluate affordable products the same way they evaluate luxury products.
I would love to know what watch you’re wearing. Great video by the way. Laura Gellar makes really good blushes, but I need one with a rose or burgundy shade.
Thanks Lisa! Loved the blusher testing and there are some lovely products in there!. I would like to see some Jeffree star products and p Louise ones too x❤
I love cream blushes for my mature 77-year old skin and really appreciated your thorough and informative review of all these wonderful affordable blushes. Next on my list to purchase will be the LA Girl! I just found you - you are a beautiful, articulate and knowledgeable young lady and I have subscribed. BTW, I love your sweater, esp. the neckline - where did you buy it? Love and hugs, Lo. xo
Always appreciate your tutorials, information provided, and your identifying recommended skin types for products. So helpful and useful. As someone on the mature end of the spectrum, recommendations as well as use/placement for bronzers would be great; also bronzing v contouring for mature skin? Have actually heard bronzing all over and not contouring is encouraged for mature skin. Thoughts?
I would love a foundation free face that you would demonstrate cream blush on and placement of highlight or bronzer… I never wear foundation, or any correcting products, but I would like blush on occasion or simple eye makeup. For us over 50
I thought the Maybelline Cheek Heat were terrible personally. Used it 5 or 6 times and put it in the trash. They separate also, have to shake or can just squeeze out clear liquid.
Thank you so much for doing this! Do you have a recommendation for one of your brushes that will work for dry patches? I'm trying to hydrate with skincare, but every time I use a brush, it seems to disrupt my foundation and show dryness.
I like the Undone the best on you - both products. The LA Girl was pretty as well. I think I am to addicted to Patrick Ta and Mario. I have a few of the Elf blushes but never reach for them. The containers are ridiculously small hence the cheaper price plus they don't last very long. Love the whole video though.
Great video thank you so much! I agree, if you could do high end one that would be great. My skin just eats up most of those cream blushes😮. Also, would you mind letting us know where you got your watch? I love it!!
Great video! I love this kind, I've watched a few on Nikki's channel. Love your content, and I found Nikki through your channel and I'm addicted to her videos.
I just got all the BK Beauty brushes for Christmas, what is the best way to clean them? How often would you suggest cleaning them? These are my first high end end brushes I've ever had so I want to take the best care of them
I bought the LA Girl Blushup cheek and lip cream, it's easy to use and looks natural. I do not use it on the lips b/c it feels dry. I no longer buy high-end since the drug store is doing such a great job with products. I like Pacifica blush too.
Please make this a series- testing different drugstore categories. I loved this video!!! 😊
Yes...I do too. Lisa is so easy to watch and follow
ThePixi gel blush in flush , darker than the one you used is perfect for mature skin for a very natural flush. Im 69 and it’s so beautiful even on foundation.❤

@@terrirojas glad it helped! ❤️
@@kimp519 yes, big Nikki fan here! ❤️
Thank you for sharing your experience as well. Experts can have an easier time than us normies ❤
Lisa you have such beautiful skin that all blushes look great on you! And your personality goes right along with everything you do, you are a sweetheart.
Foundations next please. I'm interested in the newer launches in 2023. Revlon's illuminance skin...and CoverGirl simply ageless skin perfecting essence. 😊
Some TH-camrs review makeup for their skin only. I like that you say who a product would be good for.
Eyeshadow sticks would be awesome! I love these videos because mass market brands often don’t show swatches, even on their own websites. So this kind of content is really helpful. Thank you ❤
I’d love to see eyeshadow sticks , also.
Love elf putty blush. I have dry mature skin. I think I might try the undone cream lip and cheek cream! Do a bronzer ( cream) video!
I have Heard Lots of Nice things about the Elf Putty Blush ...Thanks for confirming ❤🌹☘️🍀☘️ and undone blush looks pretty

I agree and that’s why I am not buying as many makeup products. Even drugstore prices are just too expensive, except for ELF and maybe NYX.

This was so helpful with just watching how you apply each one. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
The NYX Sweet Cheeks in Nude Tude is my current favorite. The color is just stunning. Goes on like a dream ❤
Thank you! Great video! Your applying each one gave so much information and will save many purchasing the wrong type of blush.
Great video!! Loved this. I was confused about these type blushes but no more. Would love to see your opinions on high end cream blushes as well. Foundation review would be great....I know you have your faves in those.😊
Please do eye shadow sticks cream eye shadow products! Ty
Lisa, you missed my favorite cream blush- NYX Sweet Cheeks Soft Cheek Tint Blush. I actually bought this based on your recommendation from a past video and I ❤ love it. It also has a 4 1/2 star review. ❤

This is a great review! Love cream blushes and I agree with the tips
So fun! I agree ☝️ many surprising finds!! I hoped you would try the Moira liquid blush but these are creams. Great job 👏 thank you

Great video, Lisa! Can you please do a highlighter review video for people with dry, combo and oily skin?

I'm 57 and I always set my foundation with powder. A very light layer of maybelline fit me loose powder with a brush.
I love thus type of "series"! Yes please do more. 💜
Thank you Lisa thinking of digging into Undon blush for my very dry skin. Really appreciate your help. Love you❤
Thank you for doing affordable blushes.
Thank you for doing this. Please do a cream/stick foundation comparison. Would love to have a good travel makeup bag with just light and easy to pack products that are small and easy to pack particularly for weather cold ski vacation or Caribbean.
I think cream and stick ould travel better without fluid issues for you m airlines or leaking. Good suggestion
Loved the video. Very helpful format, love the comparison of similar products. And, I got your brushes from hubby for Christmas, can't wait to try them!
This was fun.
I appreciate you being here !
I was looking at my cheek heat and its in berry flame, Amazon. Great with no makeup. I remember watching one of your videos a couple years ago and bought it at your suggestion. I really enjoyed this video, and would love to see one on lipstick. I have the hardest time trying to find one that isn’t too dark, and looks good.

I loved this, Lisa! Would really enjoy more of these. Thank you. ❤
Love this. Have been wondering what to try for cream blushes
Love the concept of this video! I can see you taking a year and making this a series of all different products. Thanks for all the info!
I would love to know what watch you’re wearing.
Great video by the way. Laura Gellar makes really good blushes, but I need one with a rose or burgundy shade.
Of the Undone Blush I do not see Rosebud, there is Rosy and Rosewood ,would either be comparable? Thanks Lisa ! Great content!!
Good reviews. I will like to see your reviews for concealers and everyday eyeshadow. Txs 🌸
Love and hugs, Lo. xo
Oh yes, really loved this type of video. Very informative and fun! Definitely do more, please.
Great review video; so detailed and has so much useful info! You are also super beautiful so everything looks super nice on you :)
Thoughts?
Gonna go pick 2 off your list tomorrow Sunday after mass 👍🏻
Fun review Lisa, loved it. It’s amazing how many great blushes there are out there for such great low prices. Hope your cheeks survived! Lol.
This is a very great and informative video. Super thorough, great production value. Overall great job! I’m subscribing
Enjoyed the video. Very helpful. Please test eyeliners for mature crepey eyes. Thank you.
Lisa…. I love your eye and lip colors. We have the same skin tone. Will you link them !! 😘😘
Your eye makeup in this video is stunning!
Thank you for all the work this took. Very helpful!❤
Great review. Shows you can get a great drug store blush
I would love a foundation free face that you would demonstrate cream blush on and placement of highlight or bronzer… I never wear foundation, or any correcting products, but I would like blush on occasion or simple eye makeup. For us over 50
This video was fun and very informative. Like this format and your commentary. ❤
This was so much fun, Lisa! I loved it and I’m in for any and all - so which ever you choose to do next I will be watching. Thank you! xoxo
I thought the Maybelline Cheek Heat were terrible personally. Used it 5 or 6 times and put it in the trash. They separate also, have to shake or can just squeeze out clear liquid.
I love this ! Thank you , you answered questions that I have had about some products that I wanted to try 💜
Hi Lisa, loved this video! What lipstick did you have on? ❤
Love this video! Thank you so much!
What eyeshadow and lipstick are you wearing?
Hi Lisa, which BK Beauty Foundation brush are you using in this video, please?
What is your favorite shade in elf for fair skin ??❤ thanks for this video
Great video thank you so much! I agree, if you could do high end one that would be great. My skin just eats up most of those cream blushes😮. Also, would you mind letting us know where you got your watch? I love it!!
Great video! I love this kind, I've watched a few on Nikki's channel. Love your content, and I found Nikki through your channel and I'm addicted to her videos.
Give us some drugstore eye sticks! Such a great product - and application - education!
You are sooo honest. I am able to to save $ by following your videos. Thank you.
Very informative, thank you for all the time this took❤
What lipstick are you wearing? It’s beautiful!
Loved this video. Please do same for drugstore eyeliners. Forever searching for a drugstore eyeliner that does not cause raccoon eyes!
Thank you so much, Lisa! This was very helpful.
This is SUCH a fun video!! This would make a great series, IF your skin isn't too mad at you!
Love all this information. Thank you.
Also what color is your lipstick? Hopefully its one of youra because i have been wanting to try your lipstick!
Love this style of video!!! I’d rather spend my money on your brushes and buy drugstore make-up- so this helps a ton!!!!!❤
You are so right I still occasionally buy high end but I have no idea why because most of my drugstore products are as good or better.
Loved this video. Would like to see more categories such as nude lipstick , pink lipstick, eyeliner etc
Omg I LOVE videos like this. Thank you so much for doing this!!!
Is choosing the right blush color a “trial and error” thing or are there guidelines to go with?
