Solid & clean conversion. Recall debating for years to convert one & decided to buy the actual Traxxas electric version when it first came out. Looked it over for about 15 mins or less, then preceded to tear it down. Tossed all the electronics & body/wing. Did the single servo setup w/Novak brushless snatched from a 1st gen Emaxx. Put a Silverado body on it. Enjoyed bashing it around for years til someone broke in just to steal it & few related r/c equipment...
@@rcbeast101 , hear that. Man, that was about 10 yrs ago. Believe me, I combed the streets, made a report, hit pawn shops, & some of the local hobby shops in case someone was trying to flip any of it. No trace of nothing. Never chased latest & greatest, so I took care of my equipment & would recognize my dated/custom equipment. Man was I pissed & just stop building for a time. Said forget them bastards, get back to building. Been building hobby grade r/c's since '93. Never a problem til that time. Keep building & creating. Stay healthy, live strong, take care of one's own, & grow....👊🏾
Also this is one of the best conversions I've seen, it's cool that you have reverse working and it's very fast. I've seen conversions that ended up way slower than the 3.3 and it was disappointing to see
I'm about to convert my slayer 4x4 to electric, I converted a stampede to EDF thurst powered on 8s with twin EDF fans lol this screams. Main issue I have is thermals. I can really only run it in 45 degrees and below since my cheap Chinese ESC get super hot. Fun car will likely destory it by accident one day lol cuz it's way to fast. It does thurst donuts tho with vectoring

I put 6s in mine with the Castle Mamba monster motor and ESC. It rips!!! But the slipper clutch keeps coming loose.

I probably would have use the servo box for the receiver and put the battery where the receiver and old battery went

did this originally come with reverse? i have the nitro slayer and doing the same conversion, but mine doesnt have reverse
How did you lock the transmission up?
I don't know how to run nitro yet n my neighbors would hate me

Yes but it's only 3s so it's not that bad. I still need to work on it.
Have you had any issues with the slipper clutch coming loose when hotting the brakes or reverse?
I haven't had any problems yet . And I ran it pretty hard at times.

I have a few questions: does the 2 speed shifter still work? And also do you have to shift into reverse to engage reverse
No I locked the gears up and lost the use of the 2 speed transmission.

It is low it runs like a brushed motor on 3s
