It’s definitely competition for the impact , Thé bigger difference are the trigger feel and magazines capacity. But the Maverick is also a little bit cheaper

Another great video and the Maverick is showing what you can do. I did notice today that there is now a dual reg setup for the impact...the Maverick shows what an extremely tight window can produce with the dual regulator settings. Looking forward to when you add the power kit to see what results you get then.
Thanks for the video. I just ordered a .30 maverick and hope it comes in soon. I found a dealer with a few cans of jsb 44 grain Diablo and ordered some. Gotta take what you can get when you can get it in this crazy world.
Nice hill country and very nice group therapy. The ambience is so nice could be plinking all day but put on a beanie on your head and gloves. May be try power wheel number 5 with full tank, could give you more flatter shots count possibly.
Thx , I have tried that but when the JSB exacts 50gr go slower then 830fps the groups tend to open up . I am tuning it now to have them shoot around 880-900 and see if the accuracy can even improve. If you are in the area you are always welcome to use my range 😉

according from what I have gotten from FX they are going to make a slug liner for the maverick & what testing I have heard is the slugs don't shoot as well out of the barrels as the pellets.

Nice! I have this same FX. It is def lights out accurate! Mine does the same exact way out of the package. I def wouldn't want to be the critter in front of it! I have seen it , mine is just at 110bar regulator and shoots the 50gr at 850fps . If I turn it up to 150bar get the 44gr easy over 1000fps ( not good for pellets but great to shoot slugs )

At this current tune no , there is enough pressure in the plenum to shoot 2 shotgun quick succession without the velocity dropping. Maybe I will make a video about that 🤔
Difficult choice , I really like both of them ! But if money wasn’t a option I would buy the impact personally. The both perform very wel better the next as a shooter , but the impact has the better trigger and there a more after market parts for it
@@Airbuks agree , I set my Impact @ 1 pound 3 oz and works well , still doesn’t have the glass snap feel to my Rekord trigger on my Weihrauch HW100 , but close ! First outing with my MKII with a 23.0 grain NSA slug I was able to achieve just under 1 MOA @ 105 yards in less than perfect conditions , it’s the most accurate PCP I have ! Starting to play with NSA 31.2 grain which should better that number .
All the rifles on the market nowadays seem to have power adjusters of some description but they only seem accurate on the highest settings rendering the adjuster pretty useless if you want to hit what you're shooting at. In principle they are a good idea but it just doesn't translate to real world practice.
It does depends on the tune you are using, but yes in most cases I would tune 1 specific ammo to shoot good at max setting and leave the others settings useless . But I also have done what I call hybrid tunes to shoot a specific slug good at max and 2 different pellets on other settings on the power wheel. And then it makes sense. I also know some who tune the gun at its max capability on the max setting and just go down the powerwheel to look for a setting that shoots a projectile well
Being new to air gunning, I'm trying to get an idea of maintenance for pcps. Can you give us some realistic idea as to the degree and difficulty of general maintenance? How often you need to clean and change components-seals, etc.
🤔 difficult to say , it depends on the use and conditions you use it in . Do you shoot very high power or normal , out in the woods or on the range etc … I have my Maverick for 6 months now and about 4000 pellets true it and never had to replace anything, just once a barrel clean. But these FX guns ( specially the impact) are complex and you need to be a little bit handy to keep them in top condition.

Bedankt voor de support makker 👌🏻 Zoals de Maverick vanuit het fabriek kwam schoot hij 44gr tegen 890fps en de 50gr tegen 830 FPS ( als ik me goed herinner) beide zijn zo goed als even accuraat maar als je met wind te maken hebt is een zwaardere pellet iets stabieler. Ik had ook nog een hoop 50gr liggen ipv 44gr 😉 . Je hebt gelijk dat je iets meer schoten per vulling hebt op lagere snelheid en lichtere pellets , nu heb ik hem getuned waar de 44 Gr een 940fps schieten zodat ik de .30hybride slugs kan proberen ( als ik ze vastkrijg 😉) dus voor de moment schiet ik de 50gr tegen 900fps met een schotcount van 70 en is nog even accuraat. Een .30 is zeer leuk om mee te schieten maar je hebt een zeer goede backstop nodig want dat ding is zeer krachtig!!

What distance are you shooting? I just zeroed my new 30 cal maverick yesterday. It shoots in one hole every shot with the factory setting and JSB 44 grn.
I am not 100% sure , but the impact is much more complicated with many more parts then the Maverick . Machining these parts take time and is costly. Also the block with the trigger group sits in the middle of the impact what makes it complicated and more expensive I have been told
The impact trigger is still the better one since it has the direct connection to the sear , the trigger on the Maverick has a linkage just like the wildcat , still a great trigger ! Probably the best bullpup trigger out there .
Hello, excellent video. It's a rifle that I loved when I heard about it. But I consider that in selector 7 at 850 fps it is little. What do you think? It should be from 910 to 920 fps for redesigned and warhead .. When you buy it, can you ask the manufacturer to send it configured for redesigned and warhead? from there you go down in selector 6, 5 or 4 for pelett of less weight like 18.13 or 15.89. Hi and thx for the support 👍 FX guns are setup from the factory to shoot normal JSB pellets at there optimal speed but the FX airguns are made to tune it at what ever velocity you desire and can easily be tune to shoot much faster . Currently I have it setup to shoot the 44gr at 960 FPS and 900 with the 50gr 😉 If you have a good gun shop like Krale Schietsport for instance you can ask them to tune it to the velocity you want 👍

@@saviofalcao670 the bottle size doesn’t make any difference in power as it’s just the amount of air you have . It only affects the shotcount offcours, the smaller the cylinder the less shots you have before refilling

I wish I had 100m space in my garden 😔 , I sometimes have access to a field behind my friends house ( depending on what’s planted there ) winters is here and once I have my hands on the 30cal hybrids I will try to go there 👍

Difficult to say , I don’t own a Crown so I can’t comment on that . I like to shoot both Impact and Maverick. They each have there advantages , if it comes to shooting heavy pellets or slugs I take the Maverick, but I like the extra tuning options on the impact to get it really where I want it for some smaller calibers 22-25
The trigger on the impact is better then the one on the Maverick, but the Maverick trigger operates with a linkage to the back just like the wildcat . But never the les it’s still a very good trigger
Interesting to note just how smooth the cocking lever is,!!!!!!!! On my Maverick FAC the action is VERY notchy & the lever will not stay back like this one, it seems that a strong spring is forcing the handle to close I have to be quite physical with the cocking lever that means the gun moves around while reloading. Never mind it is going back to UK agents again, thats the third time for repairs in just 12 weeks of its life from new in January 22 This time it has NO air & the lever is still very notchy ,NOT VERY RELIABLE..
I'm an fx maverick 22 sniper. Pellet jsb Jumbo Monster Redesign 1.645g 25.39gr I'm using it. Regulator Settings Front 180 bar, rear 150 bar I really want to know your maverick 22 regular settings fps
@@won-jucamhunter8154 it has been many different calibers yet 😉 I had it in 22 cal for a short while to shoot slugs first reg at 175-180 second at 150 bar to shoot 34gr at 980fps (700mm ) with slug power kit . But I loved it in 30cal more 😉

It has to do with editing, I have one camera at the target and one on me , I have to match them in post production. It is possible that they are not perfectly aligned . Although the pellet traveling time between 50 and 75 is only very small

I think I can hear air going into the power plenum! Can you shoot some groups with the FX hybrid slugs?
I also hear air, it seems to last 2.5 to 3 seconds, ? does it affect quick follow up shots.

Slug tend to be a little bit less accurate then pellets but they have other advantages 💪🏼

Check out 68 Whiskey they have a .30 cal also very accurate like the Impact and lots of power for long distance.

For the 30 cal my zero is always at 50M

What makes the impact more expensive than the maverick
I am not 100% sure , but the impact is much more complicated with many more parts then the Maverick .
Machining these parts take time and is costly. Also the block with the trigger group sits in the middle of the impact what makes it complicated and more expensive I have been told

I had my first reg at 150 and my second one at 110 shooting 44gr pellets at 870-880 fps
What do you think about the Huma-Air Gen 3 regulators for the Maverick/Impact?
I haven’t tried them as my Maverick still runs the original ones

How is the trigger on the Maverick as compared to the Impact ?
The impact trigger is still the better one since it has the direct connection to the sear , the trigger on the Maverick has a linkage just like the wildcat , still a great trigger ! Probably the best bullpup trigger out there .
Hello, excellent video. It's a rifle that I loved when I heard about it. But I consider that in selector 7 at 850 fps it is little. What do you think? It should be from 910 to 920 fps for redesigned and warhead .. When you buy it, can you ask the manufacturer to send it configured for redesigned and warhead? from there you go down in selector 6, 5 or 4 for pelett of less weight like 18.13 or 15.89. FX guns are setup from the factory to shoot normal JSB pellets at there optimal speed but the FX airguns are made to tune it at what ever velocity you desire and can easily be tune to shoot much faster . Currently I have it setup to shoot the 44gr at 960 FPS and 900 with the 50gr 😉
If you have a good gun shop like Krale Schietsport for instance you can ask them to tune it to the velocity you want 👍

The regulator didn’t reset after your first shot because the pressure differential wasn’t enough.
Fixed that 👍🏻 just putted the 1st reg 10 bar higher and now has 30 bar difference between the two

It only affects the shotcount offcours, the smaller the cylinder the less shots you have before refilling

I wish I had 100m space in my garden 😔 , I sometimes have access to a field behind my friends house ( depending on what’s planted there ) winters is here and once I have my hands on the 30cal hybrids I will try to go there 👍

Difficult to say , I don’t own a Crown so I can’t comment on that .
I like to shoot both Impact and Maverick.
They each have there advantages , if it comes to shooting heavy pellets or slugs I take the Maverick, but I like the extra tuning options on the impact to get it really where I want it for some smaller calibers 22-25

Interesting to note just how smooth the cocking lever is,!!!!!!!! On my Maverick FAC the action is VERY notchy & the lever will not stay back like this one, it seems that a strong spring is forcing the handle to close I have to be quite physical with the cocking lever that means the gun moves around while reloading.
Never mind it is going back to UK agents again, thats the third time for repairs in just 12 weeks of its life from new in January 22 This time it has NO air & the lever is still very notchy ,NOT VERY RELIABLE..

@@won-jucamhunter8154 it has been many different calibers yet 😉 I had it in 22 cal for a short while to shoot slugs first reg at 175-180 second at 150 bar to shoot 34gr at 980fps (700mm ) with slug power kit . But I loved it in 30cal more 😉

It has to do with editing, I have one camera at the target and one on me , I have to match them in post production.
It is possible that they are not perfectly aligned . Although the pellet traveling time between 50 and 75 is only very small
