Another simple piece that wasn't much, has been transformed in a way that would never have occurred to me. How sweet. How lovely. A little gem. How do you do it? Clearly, I need more practice. Lot's of practice to produce something half a nice as yours. Kudos to a master at her trade!
Oh, definitely not a master! But practice does help. I mostly just get inspired by the prints on the napkins and papers I use. Or other forms of art and then want to incorporate them onto furniture. And then from those things it’s gives me color ideas. I feel like they just always stem from something and progress as I work. So I’m sure you are right here with me!
This little table is adorable Taryn! Your stepdad has a good eye for unique items and confidence in your ability to transform practically anything he finds. I love that you are family oriented and down to earth. Good luck with your new venture! I'll be sure to check it out. Keep smiling!😀
I know you appreciate comments, quite willing to read suggestions. The piece looks great, with the floral print matches well with the Grey tones. Love the wooden top
Andersonville, Tennessee here! What a creative artist you are! I love the idea of using the side slot as a laptop storage space. Great idea! You rock, as always!
I have not commented in a long time, I've just been watching your journey and growth and it has been astounding. Your painting skills (I was encouraging you to paint) have improved quite a bit, it is surprising to see you improvise, as you did with the "ship" painting. I love what you did with this piece, I'm glad you did not take it apart. Congratulations on all you have achieved... I'll keep continue to watch and quietly applaud your sucesses. Much love 👍
Thank you so very much! I can’t tell you how much it means to have you all cheering me on - even if it’s quietly. This journey has been very fulfilling and a lot of that is because I get to share it with people who have similar interests. You are very appreciated.
I can just imagine that little table in a bathroom with rolled towels in the side holder and a basket of toiletries inside with a beautiful tray of bath salts and other goodies on top.
That little table turned out really nice. I really like it a lot!! I'm glad to see that your business is beginning to pick up and maybe your channel will too in the near future. God bless you and your family
It is such a lovely piece! I am always amazed when I watch you blending and what you create with some colors. Thank you so much for sharing. I will definitely visit your shop.
I think I loved hearing "do you want to play with me" today. I miss that as mine are more than grown up; nice work again. I love the many finishes you used.
Yeah, I’m going to miss this part of him growing. We just got done going around the house searching for keyholes to magic portals 😂 He has the best imagination.

That one is killing me, Fiona! It was a curb find and I’m not sure I can get the smell out 🤢 It’s so bad. The particle board completely soaked up all the icky stuff.
What an impressive upgrade... Really Elegant ❣️👍😊😘. Congratulations on the new website 🎊 Going to check it out! You inspire me in every video, thank you!
This is darling! I love how you interpreted this little thing. The decoupage is lovely. I wish I knew what this piece was originally used for. A phone table, maybe? Or a small bar? It looks wonderful now. I’m going to go check out your website now. That’s very exciting!🌸
Thank you, Deborah! Someone mentioned it would have been a telephone table and what I thought was the magazine rack is actually where you stored the telephone book! It made perfect sense after I read that. I may have slapped my forehead 😂
Hi Taryn …what a sweet piece! I’m so glad you left structure as is…it is darling…so many people are removing so many details that make pieces unique! Sometimes it is necessary but I think it’s nice to not to do it to every piece….CONGRATULATIONS on your new website‼️❤️🎉🪅I hopped over to your website before commenting and I purchased the copper pail and copper kettle!! Love them and so excited to find them🤩 I wish the best of luck with your new endeavor 🌟❣️😊kim
Ahhhhh!!!! Thank you so much, Kim!!! I was jumping for joy. You are my first “real” sale. (I made a couple people buy stuff to make sure everything was running smoothly)
1st real sale!! lol🤣❤️ I love that….and love the pieces🤩❣️I was so excited when you said you were starting a website…..I’m a shopper….I will be checking it regularly‼️hugs, 😊kim
It’s an old phone table, the rack is for the phone books, the hutch area is for the landline phone and the top is for sitting on. They are so adaptable
Hi Taryn, that's an interesting piece, I like the technique you used...Congratulations on your website ....I have a little side table and it has magazine racks on both sides and they're rounded, I'm not sure what to do with it, I originally bought it because it was different now I'm thinking what the heck, it looks like a barrel, lol, not easy to clean down the sides, I'll figure it out, I might remove the sides ...Take care...
Thank you so much, Martine! I love that you are just going to “figure it out”. I feel like while I’m doing the pieces that have me stuck, I’m usually more attached to them at the end because we’ve kind of gone on a journey together 😂 I’m sure it will be lovely when you are done.
I know!!! I had to look it up as soon as I saw it. I was absolutely fascinated by the egg injector! I’ve found so many cool creatures around here in the mountains.
If you turn the piece on it's side maybe it would be easier to decoupage that small space. I don't know, I'm not there but it is a cool looking piece. I've never seen anything like it honestly.
Love the table! Just a thought on your decoupage paper that bleeds. Could you spray to seal in the colors before you decoupage? I’ve not tried but just thought of it when you were talking about having a problem with bleeding…And it might make the paper stronger.
I think someone definitely could have used it for that. But I’ve had multiple people mention that they thought it was a telephone table and the phone book goes on the side. That has seemed the most likely to me.
I’m not sure what you mean? I sanded the finish off the top and the legs and then did a toning wash over them so you can still see all the wood grain. The body only got a scuff sand and then that was painted. 🤷🏻♀️
Congratulations on the website my dear! Keep going you good thing! 🖤🥰 Thank you for sharing your joy with us.
Thank you very much!!! You all are just the best! Thank you for staying with me 🥰

Hi Taryn, that's an interesting piece, I like the technique you used...Congratulations on your website ....I have a little side table and it has magazine racks on both sides and they're rounded, I'm not sure what to do with it, I originally bought it because it was different now I'm thinking what the heck, it looks like a barrel, lol, not easy to clean down the sides, I'll figure it out, I might remove the sides ...Take care...

long-tailed giant ichneumon wasp- the long tail is her egg depositor. Creepy but cool at the same time.
I know!!! I had to look it up as soon as I saw it. I was absolutely fascinated by the egg injector! I’ve found so many cool creatures around here in the mountains.
Nice work 👍
Thank you, Julianne!
Thanks, Debbie! Yes, you can use a spray sealer first, it would help a lot. I just don’t like how stiff it makes the paper. But it definitely works!
Love what you did with this. It’s a perfect lap top stand!
Thanks, Christine! I agree!
Could you use a roller to get in between the panels
Oh yes, if I was just doing a solid paint job a roller would have worked fine. But since I was doing a layered finish I couldn’t do that.
You know what would be cute? If you took a bureau and made a dollhouse out of it. What little girl wouldn’t love that?
Oooo!!!! Interesting! That would be so cute!!!
I think what you have there is a telephone table. Telephone on top, telephone book on the side
I think you are absolutely right, Margaret!
Are you the one who pours something with resin to make is pliable?
I don’t believe so. I hope you find whoever it is! Sounds cool.
LOL now I see you did turn it on it's side.
Haha! Yes. I flipped it. And then again for the other side. I just needed smaller hands 😂
This piece could have been an old phonograph player and the side held the albums. Maybe??
I think someone definitely could have used it for that. But I’ve had multiple people mention that they thought it was a telephone table and the phone book goes on the side. That has seemed the most likely to me.
What was the point of toning down the wood grain if you just covered it up with paint I don't get that
I’m not sure what you mean? I sanded the finish off the top and the legs and then did a toning wash over them so you can still see all the wood grain. The body only got a scuff sand and then that was painted. 🤷🏻♀️
Its a magazine rack
I thought so, too! But a lot of people said it’s a telephone table and the side is for a telephone book and that makes perfect sense to me as well.
