- We went to Tiny Tim's and got permission to record a walk through video. This is such and awesome store with some Amazing Railroads right out front. We just had such a good time checking out what they had to offer, we couldnt help but buy some new stuff for our O Scale Model Train Layout.

Yeah we did, there was a couple more times but they didn't make this Video, We are going to do a separate just Railfan video to include them all together.
I really thought brick and mortar model train stores were going extinct and online was taking over the market. It is really good to see these large hobby stores that have a lot of available stock.
Yes, we are doing everything we can to highlight them and show folks. I hear so many folks talk about saving them: so we are putting our money where are mouth is and push hard for them and the hobby in general. Thanks for your support.
This is a nice surprise. I always check Ashland out on TH-cam and see Tiny Tim's next door to The Origin.

Its a beautiful engine set. They had a about 8 to 10 k line cars I saw. Their web site has a inventory of what they have.Glad your along for the adventure.

I spent an entire day in Ashland, VA checking out Tiny Tim’s store (excellent store for hobbies and trains of many gauges) watching trains pass through town (freight and Amtrak) and got myself videoed on the Virtual Railfan cam to boot. In addition if you are there, check out the very nicely designed and constructed bioswale in the back of the parking lot (where the commentator parked), it’s used to capture storm water and pollutants off the parking lot, nicely done.
It really is a neat place as a train fan real and model to spend the day and just enjoy railroading. Thanks for checking us out, be sure to subscribe to not miss any of our new content we are putting out.
Crossed Anchors Railroads .........I was in Chesterfield, VA visiting my son and took a ride up old route 1 into Ashland and spent the day. I was much impressed by the narrow corridor through that part of town where cars shared the space with trains and pedestrians, there were even walkways across the tracks. Being up close with Amtrak and CSX freights was a real pleasure. The station was a classic and that mural on the side of the building next to the parking lot is amazing. Magical place is that Ashland, VA.

We did a day trip to Ashland while visiting family in Norfolk in 2018. Tiny Tim's was amazing and I'd love to go back.
I don't remember the name of the employee I talked to, but she was happy to answer questions about the products for sale, the store, the trains, and the town.

I used to go there when I was younger around 2010ish it used to be owned by someone else and called something else and every week my mom and I would go pick out some wooden Amtrak train cars for my wooden Thomas layout and now Suzanne owns it and we are very good friend this is probably my favorite place I’ve ever been

Was there in 2018 on my way back from wedding in fl DID NOT KNOW about the Mural since I was able to park in FRONT of the store

Wish they had an online store. I prefer online shopping versus calling and knowing what they have in stock.
That does make certain things easier to do. They are very friendly and do try to help with everything.
Although my boyfriend hasn't been able to get inside due to a leg amputation, we hope to get back soon. T.T.s is absolutely the BEST place.
Now across town there are two RR modelers clubs in the Food Lion /Ace shopping center.
