    Nice review! One thing (I'm a fellow manybagger) I am glad to see is that EG is using their 420d from the mountain line in more bags. The 500d from the cpl and chz is the hair and dust magnet. I hope this bag trickles down to some kind of ctb 25-28. The lack of bottle/stretch pockets on the cpl line was hard to adapt for me.

      Definitely can see this as the template for their v3 CPL series. 28L is probably better EDC but I'm big enough guy where this still works personally. As you said, EG really did a great job evolving and just making everything work

    Nice video packing with this CTB 35. It would be great if you could share the weight of the bag with all the packings and gears you put inside the bag. That's because it will determine the weight restriction that some airlines impose for a one-bag-travel, carry-on bag.

    Nice review! I would enjoy seeing the comparison to the Peak Design 45L.

    I'm stuck between these two Levi. Looking for an EDC with enough overhead to go from work to gym to a few nights travel and cope with everything between. It needs to be tough, uncompromising but not too over-engineered from a storage perspective as more pockets = more clutter to me. Customization is a plus. I'm 6"2 and 240lbs.

      I’m about 5’11” 240 with broad shoulders so size wise, either of these should work comfortably for you. Sounds like you like the GR2 more from your prior post and it’s cheaper. I think the EG might be better EDC but many would disagree with me as the GR2 is still excellent so it’s more personal preference.
      I would say go with your gut. What’s nice about either option, if you get the GR2 and don’t like it. It’s easy to sell and try the EG so don’t stress.

    Hey Levi! I enjoyed your review and I am considering purchasing this bag. I just recently saw a review on the bag mentioning fraying of the fabric in the zipper areas. Basically, and mostly on the corners the zipper sliders ”eat” on the grey fabric with some users claiming this eventually exposed the zip-line… have you experienced any issues with this?

    • @TechGearz_Levi

      That issue is more pack to pack and more the rarity than the standard. Also, Evergoods will definitely warranty repair or replace on those issues.

    That seems to be a tough and nice travel bag pack but I won't get here in India .

    I don't know if I should get this, or the Peak Design 45L.

      What’s your use case? Both very good. PD maybe more versatile but the EG is more comfortable and can hold more.

      @@TechGearz_Levi do you mean the evergoods can hold more than the peak design non expanded? 😮

    Great video. I’m 6’ 2” and 242 lbs and losing weight. I’ve been using a GR2 26L and I need more room. With my gym clothes, my bag is super packed out. I just don’t want some huge bag. I left my Phoenix 2 Evergoods/Carryology because it was supposedly 28L, but didn’t hold as much as my GR26L. Is this really big? It looks super huge.

    • @TechGearz_Levi
      @TechGearz_Levi  ปีที่แล้ว

      So the GR2 26L is actually the same dimensions as a GR1 21L. So on the smaller side. But the one you have is really nice as an all around almost do anything bag. The Phoenix 2 does have more space but you really have to use each pocket as they all have their own dimension. If you pack it the same way as your GR2, it’s gonna be smaller.
      All that said, the CTB35 is closer to the GR2 40L. Plus each pocket has its own dimensions. It can get BIG. So yeah, huge difference.
      If you like the form factor of the GR2 you have, I would almost recommend just going to the 34L or maybe even the 40L. My gym bag for a long time was a GR2 40L shooter. I’m using a Mystery Ranch 2Dap now that also has a beaver tail so I can put my shoes on the outside.

    What kind of water bladder works well with the Evergoods CTB 35?

    • @TechGearz_Levi
      @TechGearz_Levi  ปีที่แล้ว

      Huge space in the laptop sleeve but actually just behind the laptop compartment. So truly any size or kind would work to be honest.
