I’ve noticed over many years that God has a tendency to choose (for lack of a better word) the misfits among us to bring about His plan. Look at the family tree of Jesus in Matthew and Luke. Read the stories of those people. . . Talk about dysfunctional 😂. But God chose them anyway. He chose Gideon. He chose Mary vs Martha to commend. Martha had it all together; Mary was a hot mess. Jesus said Mary chose the good part. I’m fairly certain that good part she chose was purely accidental. What Jesus was saying was much more interesting than helping Martha. Mary was distracted. My point is you’re right we don’t need to be perfect for God to choose us.

My point is you’re right we don’t need to be perfect for God to choose us.
