Very good info, I knew about the buffs but had not thought through how to make them work together, Gives me a good streamline build process getting more in less space, thanks,
Great video, looking forward to trying it out. I just got started with Tropico 5 and I'm really enjoying it. Still just toying around in sandbox and learning the game but I think with strategies like this I'll start tackling the missions soon. I'm sure the rest of your series will help with that, so I've subbed to start watching them. Thanks for making these videos and sharing these tips, much appreciated.
I like your vids, good info. I like that you describe what you're doing & why. Food for thought, in editing, if you use a black intermission screen with "... However much time later" instead of saying in vid "I'm going to cut here & come back" it would make your videos flow better. Thanks for the tips 👍✌️
thanks so much for all your videos man you're awesome and explain things really well. I was so lost before I saw your link to the videos on reddit. great job
Useful info, thanks. The description in russian localization doesn't say that ranch gives boost based on it own effectivness. And its has terrible translation overall. Going to find out how to change language.
The English version isn't terribly specific. It does say 'based on effectiveness' but doesn't make it clear it is talking about it's *own* effectiveness, nor does it mention that the bonus can go higher than the listed base.

I did this but didn't bother with pineapple or anything else. focused solely on sugar, cotton and tobacco. Made distilleries near the sugar and textile factories near the city. makes a TON of money. distilleries are the best WW factory imo. its as profitable as the textile mill but uses like half the workers, so you can have 2 distilleries with the same workforce rather than 1 mill. Also don't bother with cigar factories, they make no money. just export tobacco as is and use the highschool workers in distilleries instead of in cigar factories.
I understand I’m commenting this YEARS after the fact, but I’ve just gotten into this game. Please understand I’m asking this to further my own knowledge not to call you out on your tactics. But you mentioned to only put the cattle on the other side if the terrain calls for it, but with all the buffs you’re getting from the sugar and everything else already down, wouldn’t it kinda negate a yellow cattle square?
Ok, Cotton is definitely NOT the best crop of the Colonial Era. Cocoa is way better, because it usually sells for a bit more and the Inoculation upgrade provides a MASSIVE +100 buff to Effectiveness (allowing you to grow it on reduced plot sizes or infertile land without problem). Also, more jobs per acre when upgraded as well as more profit/job. Cotton pulls ahead only in the World Wars Era, when you can start pumping it into Textile factories (along with Wool- the 2 seem to occupy independent production cycles, so always supply both) to make Cloth...
i was getting 32k alot threw pure pineapple sells. i did not have any luck with patches like this sadly enough. when i entered coldwar everything hit me hard i could not produce jack shit becayse all trad was to me nothing going out. =( so i was making nothing and with my main trade gone i was easly looking5k a sec. dono y. but i was.. also is it a good idea to go with the Nazis? they seem to give most cash for everything you sell
hugo avergonzado no kidding but in the end for some odd risen they both attacked me. i tolled them to move on and tryed to join the aillys but i n stead they attacked the same time i was fighting rebles. so 3 army i was fighting. to much for my force,,,,
i was level with the us before hand. (43) and i just kicked the Nazis out after using them for money.. the ppl on the other hand i have no way knowing in how to keep them happy. i hav no way to like i did in T4
This tactic doesn't work for me. Within two years all of my cattle ranches are so low in location effectiveness (usually Location = -50 or worse) that they don't provide any buffs anymore. That's after starting on perfect land that's all green on the grid.
Yeah, ranches degrade the land over time for some reason. Though I have sometimes changed the crop for the ranch, then changed it back, and the effectiveness was back to as if it had never been made. Maybe this was a glitch for me, but yeah. worth trying.
The common denominator in all these Tropic tutorials is that they're hugely informative but every narrator just kinda rambles on. They need to work on the script.
I wish you organized these into a playlist. They are impossible to find without it.
Watching this is 2022 and benefiting from the playlist that was created :)
Thank you for this series! You're teaching me how to play and making it so much more fun in the process.
Very nice, I didn't even know the Buffs from Cattle and Sugar could exceed 10 from a single building.
I hope to see more like this!
These short videos are great. Like your voice, ideas, and tips are awesome. Please make more tips!

Awesome! I'm gonna play right now!
Another great tutorial video. Now I'm gonna have to try this too!
Jimmy From gta5 giving us a Tropico tutorial...and a dam good one!
Very good series.
Cattle gives off polution though? Had two ranches near one my plantations and it got so polluted it couldnt work anymore.
This is actually a real farming strategy in real life called Mixed Crop and Livestock.
Useful info, thanks.

Pinstar
Yes, I also thought that you need 2 cattle ranches if you want to have not 10 but 20 boost of effectiveness.

Pinstar, thnks for your mini-guides, i wish you'd done more videos about Tropico 5.
God you gotta love how bad tropico has become.
Makes me miss tropico 1 and especially the "expectation of democracy" mechanic.
@@zestamaster how did that work ? only played 4 and 5 :)

Great video, and btw everyone else are wrong, you actually sound like Charlie Day.

Amazing tip.
Great vid / tutorial.
Good tip, but could you do this on a non sandbox game and work as well?
Nice! No Tactics # 4?
Haha. Thanks for the tips but you sound EXACTLY like the nerd from the Simpson's. I spit out my drink when the video started.

yeah its a good idea to go with the axis because they give you more cash than the allies

Somehow I like your voice.

Pollution perhaps. Doing too many homes and industry ruins the farms and such.
Bro... are you charlie Day?
oh sweet jesus .
wow... Ive done groups, but never this effective.
playing on unlimied money and waiting for constructşons to be finished... bro you gotta think about time efficiency...
you sound like the guy from dual survival. lol

You can tell this guy's mid puberty just by the sound of his voice
