Hello, I have a question, is it possible, after watching only these lessons of the Khan of the Academy, to take sat? I am a foreigner, so I ask. Do I need to learn organic chemistry?

@@fairyland6855 Hmmm, I don't think SAT offers a Chemistry test; they canceled the subject test part. If you want to take the nationalized test, you should definitely check out AP exams. Edx and Khan Academy have AP Chemistry course vids which are great for studying. If you understand the course content, you can definitely get a 5 on the AP exam just by watching the videos. Also, I don't think organic chemistry is a thing for nationalized tests, although I am not sure. SAT only includes Math and Reading.

Sal is amazing. So is chemistry. I really really wish my school teacher could teach chemistry like this. Unfortunately, he didn't and the chemistry class for me turned out to be all about memorising the periodic table, drawing the structure of all molecules. Never thinking about why and how. I then became a computer science engineer. At the age of 36, which is right now, I realise my real passion is in chemistry.
For all the students who are reading this, sometimes the teacher is just not good and please try to learn from somewhere else. Don't lose your curiosity about the world. I lost it when I was so young and I want to find it back right now.

I think a goal that all introductory teachers should have is making The Table mystifying again. It's one of those things that you will never see the same way once it is accurately explained to you.

Its interesting how we’ve separated them. Because there’s overlap sometimes. Its mentioned in the video how there is overlap. Like for example the way light enters the eye, that’s not just a biological thing. That’s also physics. And then the neurons in the brain, there is a lot of potassium and sodium stuff going on which I am still learning about. Ions, positive charges, negative charges. It would be be good to have a theory of everything.

This is a wonderful introduction!… exactly what I was looking for! My mind thirsts for interconnectedness, the gestalt and the micro, and how it all fits together… I always loved and excelled in biolog, but never felt I had a handle on chemistry… not for lack of wanting…(I’m 51 now), but still am fascinated with science, and yearn for deep integration. Thank you! You’re a great teacher!, I’m looking forward to the next lesson ❤

Im an IT but I came here cause I want to satiate my insatiable curiosity of the world and universe. For example, I often think of why fire is hot? Why is its flame not solid? Why are rocks so hard? Why does the water flow? Why is water like that? Why is the sun burning? Why is metal hard and why can it bend rather than snap? Like all kinds of things
