I have a little boat I can tow with the bike and it's just big enough to take a bike on board. Have yet to go on some sort of adventure with it but I use it often in the summer locally. Heavy but far safer than these inflatables.
Don't want to spoil the fun but this video is promoting something that could potentially be quite dangerous. Those inflatables are unsuitable for the crossings. They consist of only a single air chamber, puncture and your bike and stuff is gone to the bottom of the sea. You'll be left with no other flotation than the life jacket you'll hopefully be wearing. If this is in the middle of a mile or more crossing then good luck swimming to the shore. Also the high sided flat bottomed design of the rafts makes them difficult to manage in any sort of wind. It may appear calm when setting off but the weather can change quickly. These sorts of crossings between islands need to be taken seriously. I know because I have lived in the area for most of my life. Please don't promote this as a fun thing anyone can do because there are things you need to be aware of. Not even a mention about safety in this video.
As endurance athletes go, Mark B always seems to keep going through pure mission-oriented thinking; meanwhile, Jenny just seems to be having a blast when doing absolutely everything! You can hear her smile in every word spoken!
Totally agree. I get it, that records are something to hunt, but I don’t get it to cycle through places of the world where you’ll never go again and just rush through. So yeah, I am definitely the Jenny faction and not the Mark. (Although I do enjoy his 80 days around the world video), but I think a 1 year around the world video by Jenny would be even better.
One of the best GCN videos on TH-cam to date. I'm surprised this wasn't published on GCN+, the production and quality it's amazing. Outstanding job, GCN, Manon, Jenny!!
My favorite GCN shows are thier relax epic rides. However, Jenny and Manon just raised the Bar on the other presenters. By far, this is the most epic ride I have seen to date! Cheers Ladies that was perfect, Thank you.
These ladies are wonderful motivators. Can’t wait to give packrafting a go. Your videos are great and the filming is spectacular Love it ! Love it ! Love it!
It’s great seeing Manon doing more adventures. Great double act and inspirational to all women to get out and give it a go. And all in my home country. More please!!
An absolute joy to watch! It's easy to get into 'How Far?' or 'How Fast?' - but rarely into 'What have you done you've never done before?', 'What have you seen you've never seen before?', and, 'How much joy did you get out of it?'. Loved it.
This was a lot of fun to watch! And, 'great job' to whoever did the video work on this! The framing of the two of them in the waiting area for the ferry was very nicely done!
Way to go Manon! Scenery reminds me of my home in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. At least the rain made it look like you had to "tough out" some of the elements. Great video by the production team.
These are my favourite Manon videos. Jenny takes her just far enough out of her comfort zone to make this awesome viewing. Pair that with the scenery, these are just wonderful to watch. The mix of Welsh and Scottish accents is also just musical. Manon, you’re such a trooper. Good on you for broadening your biking horizons in such an adventurous way. Jenny, I hope you keep pushing Manon’s limits. This is becoming one of my favourite GCN presenter pairings.
Actually, there is more than one Michael Palin vibe, not just his travel movies... the castle on the island in the loch that the girls floated past is Castle Stalker, which was featured in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, which Palin starred in.
How cool that’s the village I’m from left 20 years ago , now live in Australia.Making me homesick for sure barring covid I’ll be doing this next year , thanks for the super video !!
Entering the ferry with her mask on and the paddle shafts over her shoulders, Manon looks like a cut rate ninja from a "B" movie. I'm glad they're enjoying themselves though. It's a beautiful area.
Another fabulous film featuring Manon and Jenny. Such fun, beautiful sights, laughter, and enjoyment of every experience. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Scotland with Manon and Jenny, or, any place they choose to travel.
Wow, what a video :O that trip looked so awesome. Must say, im pretty jealous :) Hope there are more videos to come. Manon on adventures is really nice to watch :)
More of Jenny and Manon on bikepacking adventures please! I’ve been looking at ways of towing my wooden canoe with a little folding bike but maybe I should just use my cyclocross bike if you can fit it on a little pack raft!
So, so lyrically beautiful; I'm blown away by Scotland's natural beauty, as well as the enthusiasm and vibrancy of Manon and Jenny in presenting this video! Keep it up, and I hope to see more of this dynamic duo in future videos!
I'm so envious of people who are about to discover packrafting after watching this video. This was so much fun for me when I put my bike on the water for the first time!
I love the way Manon has embraced the gravel side of cycling in the community, the open mind and heart for new adventures, that she has kindly Taking us along for the ride with her, such a beautiful videos and also very inspiring, get out there whatever you are and explore those beautiful parts of the country where you live, awesome job Manon and Jenny, thank you so very much
OMG I LOVE IT!! They are sooo great together. Manon is becoming an animal out their, Jenny's a good teacher. I have a packraft but never tried lashing my bike on it. My favorite modes of transportation do not involve a car.
I did it lots of times this summer, down a salmon river in northern Norway. Cycled on tarmac with my road bike a couple of hours and paddled back home with the bike on the packraft. It was great.
I thought of this a few years ago, but I'd never seen anyone do it. I was on a bike trip, and I was following some rivers, and saw people rafting and thought, "I'd love to combine what I'm doing with what THEY are doing!" Didn't know they made inflatables that pack down so small! Definitely going to have to look into that. Thank you for making this video!
We definitely need more of Jenny and Manon together. This video brings back lots of memories for me, never been to Lismore but MV Loch Striven was the Largs - Cumbrae ferry for years when I used to go to doon the watter to Millport as a child!
What a team and what a trip. Then to have Jenny Graham as your partner. That's a ten for sure. Phone box's with baked goods. Now that's a deal breaker. Put's it over the top. Take care, Al
Great video, really enjoyed that. Makes me long to get back to the home country and tour the coast side again. Feel free to come over here to Canada where we have 10's of thousands of lakes to paddle on (and without jelly fish!) and more forest than you could imagine.
I've been hearing reports that Scottish spiders are evolving and are now able to manoeuvre themselves into a position where they can brace themselves with four legs while using the other four to slowly prise open the zips of tents, once there is a gap big enough for them to enter they scuttle inside leaving the zip open for others to follow, the most adept at this is apparently the greater highland biting spider.
Great banter and fun. Scotland is awesome and I feel lucky to live here. Shame you guys got rained on as until the weather recently broke we had the driest Summer in 160 years! Bike packing up here is fantastic.
Some Bikerafting for the win! If you are as stoked on this combo as I am, the book "The Bikerafting Guide" is a really incredible resource for info, history and great stories to get you as stoked as Jenny. I have really loved using it as a resource. Glad this sort of adventure is getting great coverage!
This was a joy to watch. Jenny’s smiling face even in the bracing wind and rain is certainly a superb advert for bike packing anywhere, especially in the UK. Superb film everyone! Thank you again!
Loving your trips Manon been brilliant and your definitely a super adventure girl for sure ... well done 👍😉 and Jenny has totally changed your way of life on two wheels 👍🍾🥂🍾🥂🍺🍺
This is so me.i literally went to the beach for a few days with my bike and kayak but to do them both together. Epic! I CAN'T WAIT to go back to Scotland
Really enjoyed that, best thing I’ve watched on GCN. Thank you, Si. Particularly enjoyed the bits where you were moving really slowly; just like me, kudos. My top tip, of the week. Remove the lid of your coffee cup, we taste with our nose too.
Another beautiful video once again . Happy to see both Manon and Jenny enjoying my local area of Argyll, and showing off its beautiful scenery to the world. Glad you enjoyed your adventure, ladies.
We cannot drop the "dropped like ollie" jokes... ever!!! When i sit down with my grandkids when im older, ill tell them the story of how Ollie got dropped.
Great video! Fun to see Manon get up close to the fiery Scottish Midgie! 😀 One tip that I would offer is take cycling shoes off when boarding the canoe then put on new socks at the end of paddling… 🤓
@@gcn I would so go on a ride with these two women, what a joy they share and transmit. It’s contagious. Documentary/film worthy. The videography is also very well executed. Bravo! You can be sure that I’ll continue following!
Have you been packrafting in Scotland? Let us know about your adventures in the comments!👇
Sounds like fun! Never visited the 🇬🇧. My wife and I would love to pedal almost randomly through the 🇬🇧 because wherever we go, it will be the 🇬🇧!
What an amazing adventure!! I am very Jealous! - great video guys.
I would like to try packrafting - Which Rafts are you using?
I have a little boat I can tow with the bike and it's just big enough to take a bike on board. Have yet to go on some sort of adventure with it but I use it often in the summer locally. Heavy but far safer than these inflatables.

Never did a packrafting trip, but can't wait for my bike touring trip, next year in may, across scotland including arran, islay and skye🏴
Jenny and Manon are a great double act. Can't wait to see what else Jenny has up her sleeve for Manon. More please.
"I've been dropped like Ollie"
Could be worse, could be like Alberto Contador
Or the entire men’s world race field…
As endurance athletes go, Mark B always seems to keep going through pure mission-oriented thinking; meanwhile, Jenny just seems to be having a blast when doing absolutely everything! You can hear her smile in every word spoken!
She's having so much fun!
10000miles away from home presents a bit different of a film style to convey the awesome time being had...
That's the difference between racing and touring
Totally agree. I get it, that records are something to hunt, but I don’t get it to cycle through places of the world where you’ll never go again and just rush through. Outstanding job, GCN, Manon, Jenny!!
Glad you liked it!
This was one of the most entertaining short videos in memory. Jenny and Manon are fantastic together. More, please.
Well done, good team dynamics Jenny and Manon. Jenny has so much positive energy. Contagious.
Glad you like it, Rich!
wow that ended quick. i was ready to watch that for 3 hours. Bikepacking, rafting and seeing the sights on all those islands is so amazing.
Can we expect the extended cut on GCN+ ?
My favorite GCN shows are thier relax epic rides. However, Jenny and Manon just raised the Bar on the other presenters. By far, this is the most epic ride I have seen to date! Cheers Ladies that was perfect, Thank you.

Love it ! Love it ! Love it!
You'll love it so much Doug!!
Exactly. It looked so fun.
LOVE Jenny Graham. Is she gearing up to be the newest addition to the presenting crew?
It’s great seeing Manon doing more adventures. Great double act and inspirational to all women to get out and give it a go. And all in my home country. More please!!
These last few videos have been unreal!
Edit: Another savage Bridgewood reference haha!
The cinematography of this video is top notch, and having Manon and Jenny makes it better. Congratulations GCN for the great job!
An absolute joy to watch! It's easy to get into 'How Far?' or 'How Fast?' - but rarely into 'What have you done you've never done before?', 'What have you seen you've never seen before?', and, 'How much joy did you get out of it?'. Loved it.
Good point about less, how far and how fast. More of fun, enjoyment , smell the roses, make friends with others and enjoy life.
This was a lot of fun to watch! And, 'great job' to whoever did the video work on this! The framing of the two of them in the waiting area for the ferry was very nicely done!

Kudos to editors and scenic drone shots. The whole coverage had a Micheal Palin vibe to it. Next level from GCN 👌
Actually, there is more than one Michael Palin vibe, not just his travel movies... the castle on the island in the loch that the girls floated past is Castle Stalker, which was featured in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, which Palin starred in.
Watching Manon discover gravel and bike packing - and absolutely take to it with enthusiasm - is delightful. More please!

Manon is so game for anything. Her and Jenny make a good team of presenters.
Wow, what a video :O that trip looked so awesome. Must say, im pretty jealous :) Hope there are more videos to come. Manon on adventures is really nice to watch :)
I absolutely love listening to Jenny's positivity! So delightful!
This has been my favorite cycling video ever!!! Two amazing women and two brilliant presenters… and what an epic adventure!!! More, Please!!!

Let's just make Jenny a presenter and have them on trips all the time 😉

you are lovely Manon Loyd. You bring me to see your beautiful country.
Who gave this a thumbs down. I thought it was an awesome video with all kinds of beauty around there. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there.
OMG I LOVE IT!!

one of the best videos i've watched is by iohan gueorguiev bike-rafting down the mackenzie river....
That was a really inspirational film, with wonderful camera work & great presenters. Well done GCN.
This series is my absolute fav thing I’ve seen on GCN … fantastic duo and places look amazing
Love this pairing, more of these please
These bikepacking adventures have been great. Looking forward to more of them in the future. Scotland looks like an amazing place to cycle.
Great video and what looks like an incredible adventure. Manon and Jenny make such a good pair of presenters!
If only everybody was just a little bit more like Jenny. Seems so happy about everything. The world might just be a better place
I did it lots of times this summer, down a salmon river in northern Norway.
Cycled on tarmac with my road bike a couple of hours and paddled back home with the bike on the packraft.
It was great.
Sounds epic!

I'd love to see Jenny and Mark in a video together. The Scottish dream team!
That trip just looked amazing! So happy to see Jenny take Manon onto another adventure! 🥰
Wheels and water in Scotland! Heaven! I will only need a good single malt! Pedalling and paddling!
Love it. Manon and Jenny are a great combo. More videos with them please!
What a team and what a trip. Then to have Jenny Graham as your partner. That's a ten for sure. Phone box's with baked goods. Now that's a deal breaker. Put's it over the top. Take care, Al
Daaaaaaaaamn... the scenery is breathtaking. 😍😍😍😍
So great to see the girls adventuring! What a stunning location. Loved it, thanks ❤
Jenny and Manon thank you for beautiful bike trip movie. Someday I wanna visit Scotland by my bike.
Great video, really enjoyed that. Makes me long to get back to the home country and tour the coast side again. Feel free to come over here to Canada where we have 10's of thousands of lakes to paddle on (and without jelly fish!) and more forest than you could imagine.
Pretty decent bike path network in Québec too!
Interesting!! Johan Gueorguier set the path for biking on an inflatable raft en route to Panama... RIP Johan G👣🚴🏽🏴
Love the series! The sweetest presenters ever, great duo!

Absolutely awesome. So fun. Love these shows Manon
This is great. Thanks for enlightening me to these adventures. You two make a great team. 👍
Love seeing Manon on adventures! More of Jenny+Manon combo please!
They did so well and so entertaining to watch. GO MANON AND JENNY.x
Can't wait for more! I've got stars in the eyes. (Absolutely need to go in Scotland one day!) :)))

Brilliant love these trips , jenny always happy & enthusiastic , well done mannon
GCN Beautiful and Amazing video of Scotland.
love seeing both of them enjoying the simple things in life. And btw, gosh Scotland....
This was a joy to watch. Jenny’s smiling face even in the bracing wind and rain is certainly a superb advert for bike packing anywhere, especially in the UK. Superb film everyone! Thank you again!
Glad you enjoyed it Pete!
Loved every second of this, felt like I was along for the ride! Sweet reference on appreciating the simple things in life!
Really great content!
Their chemistry makes me want more content with the two of them
Dropped like Olie ........ brutal! 😂

GCN inspiration of the week for sure!! 🔥🔥
I have no words to say. The view is really amazing. Thumbs up to the camera man and the drone..
It's true what they say, "You learn something new every day"! Super cool idea and ride. Thx
Jenny and Manon were a lot of fun together. More adventures!
Another beautiful video once again . Happy to see both Manon and Jenny enjoying my local area of Argyll, and showing off its beautiful scenery to the world. Glad you enjoyed your adventure, ladies.

Very cool...thank you Manon and Jenny....that looked like a blast ..Peace
Full of fun and laughter, more please!
Brilliant love that manon looks like a teenage Ninja Turtle with her paddles sticking out her rucksack
great video
Great video! Fun to see Manon get up close to the fiery Scottish Midgie! 😀
One tip that I would offer is take cycling shoes off when boarding the canoe then put on new socks at the end of paddling… 🤓
I made those paddles, here in Holyhead Sea Kayaking UK haha. Good to see them being used.
Very cool!
Omg! That ended so fast. I was actually ready for an hour long adventure. 😍
This! Was! Amazing…. Thank you for sharing this stunning adventure. Rides like these are what dreams are made out of!
We're glad you enjoyed it! Keep your eyes open for more content like this :D
@@gcn I would so go on a ride with these two women, what a joy they share and transmit. It’s contagious. Documentary/film worthy. The videography is also very well executed. Bravo! You can be sure that I’ll continue following!
You cannot watch a Manon and Jenny adventure without smiling!
I've been wanting to do something like this for 20 years. Thanks for sharing.
