I would love to see this as something for beginning photography. Week one, you should be doing this, week two, that, etc.

On adapting to unexpected opportunities. Back in my 20's I wanted to be an actor. I joined a small, indie theatre company. I was not good. In fact I was so not good that they made me the stage manager for my penance. I adapted to the new direction which grew into a decades long career. A career that led from that small theatre company to increasingly greater opportunities all over Canada, the U.S. and even Broadway. I won't pretend that this was all the result of a well thought out and expertly executed plan though. Sometimes, just being there and being open when good luck strikes can also be part of the plan. Thanks, Daniel.

Excelent topic Daniel Norton, thank you for addressing it! By the way love the three set ups in the video and liked the vibrancy of the red wall.

Great video Daniel! I’ve set a goal this year to work more with actors. Shooting for their portfolios…, this helped me to break it down in small steps and make some progress. Love these kind of videos…, keep them coming!

This is incredible good information Daniel. I'm glad there is more to come after this one.
I dont know for others, but being creative can also be exhausting. Sometimes we need a break and take a step back. Trusting in ourselves and the path. If it is the path you're meant to walk, you will be guided back in the direction but with way more energy, way more creativity and way more inspiration.
I'm grateful you want to help others and that you share your tips.

Used the same acronym in business (Oil and Gas)

Milestones and inch-pebbles - what you call waypoints -- are an excellent way to see progress along the way.

I have decided to do a short photography course at my old university in order to try and find or develop a consistent style. It feels like a lack of consistency prevents me from moving forward in a suitable direction. I will find out by the end of July if I am right. 🤔

on the other side once you achieve all your goals then things kind of get a bit "meh" all the stuff you worked for is done and dusted and you kind of just auto pilot everything

"Moving towards the mountain"... reminded me of Neil Gaiman's commencement speech on goal setting: th-cam.com/video/ikAb-NYkseI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HDGx-0sHUjpR1Ox9
