@@sportbiketrackgear Are these compatible with the M4 street slayer exhaust on my ‘17 R1?Need better ergonomics, just wanna make sure they’ll mount..Thanks🙏🏽
Dammit... was about to order a set and realized they no longer have the folding toepeg!!!! Why... oh why, Vortex?? That was the best feature for anyone racing. Little mishap and you'd just pick the bike up and get going.
The banjo brake light switch is sold separate as not everyone will require use of the rear brake light. Track riders will run without, street riders will retain it. - Van
Hey brother I have a question: I am thinking about installing these on my bike as well due to my size, but I only ride my bike on the street, do I need to install a banjo bolt as well? I saw another video and the guy is installing a bajo bolt on his to these exact rear sets. Tha you in advance!
If you want to retain the function of the brake light off the rear brake you will need the brake light banjo switch. We have a link to it on the same page as the rearsets for each model. - Van
Hello again, I had the V2 rearsets on my r6 before (bike got totalled) and they had the perfect position for me. just got another one and was wondering if the v3 rearsets will offer the same / similar position. Thanks
No they do not include a rear brake return spring, you would need to purchase that separately if you want one. We have Graves and Woodcraft return springs on the site. Below are links to them: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/graves-sport-bike-rear-brake-return-spring/ www.sportbiketrackgear.com/woodcraft-brake-pedal-return-spring/
You will need to buy the Vortex Rear Brake Light Switch if you want to keep the brake light active when using the rear brake. Here is a link to that on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/vortex-rear-brake-light-switch/ - Brian Van
Hey mate have you installed these rearsets to a 2015-18 S1000RR? If so where are you supposed to mount the brake return spring? OEM lever has a lug that you hook the spring on. Cheers.
I have not installed that exact kit myself. Most of the aftermarket kits do not reuse the OEM return spring for the rear brake. The master has a return spring that is inside of it that gets the job done. If you prefer there are a couple of aftermarket return springs that slide over the rod for the master. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear Thanks for the reply! For now I just use the OEM bracket for the top of the spring and hooked (and stretched) the bottom under the actual lever. It works (shrug). If it was your bike would you just remove the spring altogether? I'm just worried about gravity applying the rear brake and the free play. Could I have a link or brand name of these aftermarket springs? Cheers Jeff
I would suggest checking to make sure the bearings are both pressed into the shift pedal all the way. Also make sure you have the washer installed between the pedal and the mount properly. If you need more help shoot me an email to service@sportbiketrackgear.com - Van
Just got these, on brake side there is a black wiring with spring on it that hooked to stock pedals, vortex does not have the attachment. What do you do with that? Can you just remove?
That is the OEM brake light switch that can not be reinstalled with the Vortex rearsets. If you want the brake light to work with the rear pedal you will need to install a banjo brake light switch which is easy to do. Here is a link to that on our site: Vortex Rear Brake Light Switch www.sportbiketrackgear.com/vortex-rear-brake-light-switch/

No we have not lowered an R1 nor do we have that on the project list for that bike. PSR does offer the following items to get this done: 1) PSR Yamaha YZF-R1 15-18 Adjustable Kickstand (you will need this after lowering the rear) www.sportbiketrackgear.com/psr-yamaha-yzf-r1-15-18-adjustable-kickstand/ You can go with either an adjustable or a fixed lowering link. The fixed is far less expensive and works well for most riders in the end. 2) PSR Yamaha YZF-R1 15-18 Lowering Link $54.95 www.sportbiketrackgear.com/psr-yamaha-yzf-r1-15-18-lowering-link/ 3) PSR Yamaha YZF-R1 15-18 Fully Adjustable Lowering Link $166.95 www.sportbiketrackgear.com/psr-yamaha-yzf-r1-15-18-fully-adjustable-lowering-link/ All of these items are available now. Yes we ship to the UK pretty much daily at this point. As you proceed through the checkout process on the site you should be able to choose from DHL Express International (fast but a little more expensive) or USPS International shipping. Most go with the latter option. - Van
Does it have a return spring for some resistance.. Maybe uses the OEM one ?.. Seen how Graves uses a spring added to the master cylinder..is something like that needed with this set on a 2017 R6... I'm ready to click buy but had that question
I've been wrenching on my bikes for over a decade, but I love your videos. They're very informative.

Love that foorpeg
Very cool design, love to see the innovation and excited to ride on a set. - Van
Very nice, only thing is folding toe pieces as an option would’ve been nice for road riders.

None of their V3 rearsets use the folding toe pieces. - Van
Hi, great video. Do you have one on removing the brake light switch and wiring ?
Thanks for watching. Sorry we do not have a video showing that. - Van
Ther is a video on that 1 wer it shows the guy splicing n replacing that part
Noticed ur bike doesn't have the brake sensor pull spring !! Doesn't vortex come with that xtra part ? For race vs street ?

Hey I have a problem with the shift pedal, it won't stay loose every time I tighten it the shift pedal tightens as well.

Sportbike Track Gear cool , I went to order them right after i post the comment .

Hey Brian question. I want to remove my kickstand. Can I remove the kickstand and keep the sensor there or will I have an issue?
Saw this in another video as well, I would 100% install the bypass from Woodcraft. This is the cleanest way to get this done. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear thanks for the reply van
No return spring anymore on the rear brake?
You can add one on the master if you like. There is a return spring in the master cylinder that is more than adequate. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear I just found out about the Woodcraft return Springs you can add. I'm going to go that route thank you sir
Is the install the same for a 2017 R6?
It will be very similar, not 100% identical but super close. - Van

Dude, i was kinda scared you'd rip the rod out of your rear master 😰😂
Is it normal that thing is so wiggly???
Yes the rear master rod has a ton of movement in it so you can adjust the rod. No worries at all. - Van

Maybe uses the OEM one ?..
