    @jchege14 7 ปีที่แล้ว +28

Ive read the full judgement and
    1. The motive is what is yet to be established.
2.Everything is too coincidental. What was wrong with the car to leave it at the garage? Who was the fundi she was waiting for? did he come? why enter the estate thru the back gate at night? why is everybody on the ground except her? they tell everybody to remove their clothes except her, then she convinces them otherwise. the funny entries at the gate. the gangsters disappear in juja, then she proceeds to thika. why go to the petrol station? why book herself to the nursing home for shock? she came and left with the assailants, and finally, the family of the deceased inakushuku. they arent crazy? CAMAAN!!!!?

This is so sad... I feel like the wrong people are in jail and poor kids are suffering the lose of their Dad and absent Mom... I am in tears.. It better be looked at again... It is common for thieves to take one of the family members when leaving so that they can use her to pass the gate... She deserved sympathy for the trauma she went through not a jail term!

+JOYCE CHEBELYON her husband is killed, she manages to drive the thugs all the way to thika..whether forced or not is besides the point. Again immediately she drops off the thugs at Juja, she drives ahead to Thika (impulse would have her drive back to attend to her dying husband being the "loving wife" she says she is), she then calls a mama lucy (a family friend!!!) why not a neighbor to find out how the hubby is? or her immediate family or in-laws which is consistent with confusion n shock. Then reports the crime of her being kidnapped n husband killed. Then she checks herself into thika nursing home complaining of...of all things shock!!! does this even affect Africans?! still how could she manage to drive over 50km with this shock!!! takes a sabbatical right there (still doesn't know whether the husband is dead or alive... n she doesn't show concern) Finally arriving home the next day at 10am...to the unfortunate news (at-least to her) that the hubby didn't die..but survived the ordeal. This is a no brainer, the hubby being a perrenial drinker must have had a mpango wa kando or she suspected..arriving home way past midnight et al is enough motive for this lady to put the father of her children to sleep. GOOD WORK OMBIJA!!

We always strive to stick to facts and nothing but the facts. At times i have reservations about judgments and the prosecution's case against the accused and the kind of defence mounted but i cant "carry" the same into the story. If you listen carefully to my narration, the verdict is clear not necessarily the one handed down by the trial judge. Keep watching. Thank you!

Sad story here.... I watch lots of such cases on CI and Discovery ID, good coverage but where is forensic evidence to this case? Its wrong to have someone in jail who did not commit a crime :(.... Am aware Kenya lack modern equipments and proper infrastructure to solve many mysteries of murder and other crimes in our society. I fell for the children since am a victim when am mother was murdered and no arrests to date 6 years down the line!!

me too im mourning this judgement because the trial was not taking seriously by both police and trial judge but the good news the lady has arldy appealed en we hope the appeal judges will overturn this decisions and grant the lady her freedom because those killed her husband are still at large while innocent person who loved the late husband and her children she is suffering and living in pain of her late husband and be separated with her loving daughter en son. the trial judges should carefully look her appeal in hope her freedom will be restored so as she cause reunited by her family.

The Applicant planned and carried the execution of her husband, the victim of the crime. The plan was elaborate and well thought. She had accomplices. After inflicting injuries to the deceased which later proved fatal, the Applicant put in place an intricate hoax to put off the investigators from her trail. Unfortunately for her, her ruse came unstuck. The reason she gave for committing this heinous crime beggars belief. She indicated in the re-sentence report that she intended to scare her husband from his infidelity. This court noted that at the time the Applicant and the deceased had been married for eighteen (18) years. Much as this court considers the Applicant’s positive change in behaviour, it will not overlook the heinous nature of the crime that the Applicant committed. All along kumbe she was guilty.

This people claiming to read her body language, I wonder why the government hasn't contacted you yet for your "skillful" talents.
The watchman entry story, watchmen often fill in those entries by using their personal individual watches or mobile phones. If I took 10 people randomly, I'm 100% sure that their watches/mobiles would have different times. Even television stations and radio shows aren't always consistent with their "top of the hour news".
Someone questioned why she led them to the house and further drove them away...isn't it common sense that when a gun is pointed at you....unless you are in a movie, you do as instructed. They were four people...what was she to do? Scream and get shot? Even if she told the watchmen as you say...what would the watchmen do??? Or do watchmen carry guns too? And that term 'escorted the thugs to her home'??? You underestimate robbers. They 'wanted their money' they had to know where the man stayed. They knew his wife and the estate...othey literally timed her.
All in all, this case has too many loopholes. All evidence is circumstantial, from law, all criminal cases have to be proven beyond reasonable doubt. Here, nothing of the sought.
Two, the charge of murder....faulty. Even if it was she...the cause of death varied from the actual injuries he succumbed to during the robbery.
Kenyan lawyers ought to pull up their socks. Most just carry the name but lack the passion for it. The love of money is priority for them. We have a terrible system if circumstantial evidence can give you 30years imprisonment. If it was some big wig somewhere who was the accused, I'm dead sure they would have been acquitted on grounds of lack of sufficient evidence...

After watching this episode for the sixth time, from my end I can categorically say that those gangs used this woman and she was not part of the scheme. Circumstantial evidence was majorly at play here.
If this would have happened in countries like US the truth would have been out long ago. I wonder if the investigation team dug deep on information like cell phone pinging. If she was part of the scheme then she must have communicated with them. Funny part is how would a woman plan for such when her own son was in the house?
Some people appeared to have been wrongfully and wrongfully convicted while the main suspects are outside enjoying their free time.
A case like this needs a fresh trial to determine whether she was part of the plan or not. With all the technology at our disposal at the moment she really needs a free trial including the security guard.

My brother was robbed in his house in Jamhuri estate after which the robbers went with him and left him very far, gave him fare and told him not to report to the police or they would come back for him. So the lady was frog Marched for 3 kms by 4 masked men, went through the guarded gate still with the four men(masked still) until she reached her house.note: she had called her son so that they could meet as usual, but the son who was called was inside the house with a relative when the mum arrived. She later drove the masked men out of the estate without anyone noticing she needed some help.
Anyway she was sentenced to face the hangman's noose today by the court of appeal.

She doesn't mention how her and the assailants got to the car as it was in the garage. How did they access the garage as they are usually closed at night? Then which security light was faulty? Was it there residential place or business premises? If it's the residential the timing is telling and that loops in the guard. The woman does not mention what time she was accosted with hooded goons? If she was running a salon she cannot open past 8:30 pm. Whatever the estate you reside 8:30 pm is still busy with motorists and paedestrians alike. How can 4 hooded pistol wielding people walk an abductee 3KM and go unnoticed near the Commissioner Of Police residence. Then how can a lone woman risk walking alone for such a long distance at night? Why didn't she just drive back home after dropping the thugs and rush to the Commissioner' house and tell the guarding GSU what had happened? Alternatively she would have driven to Muthaiga Police station or Kasarani Police station. The shock theory does not add up. Africans don't have those shock issues only whites do and a select few. Lastly for people to carry out such an act new the Commissioner's house means they were very confident they would succeed and leave undetected. That confidence can only be achieved if you have an insider and that is the wife. She came with them and left with them. Secondly she is the only one who may have motive which is inherit the husband's wealth and/or avenge his extra marital affairs which is common with monied drunkards.

Kenya has the best CID officers in Africa, With inadequate forensics they are able to solve cases, there is always two sides of the story, In order for her to be prosecuted, there must has been overwhelming evidence. Good show, but they should also hire actors to make the scenes lively. They will be able to creat a lot of oppotunities for the youth.

TO ALL who have watched, read Janet's story. Just know there is more to it. Only God knows better but behind the scene there is much more that's unknown and known to me is the bigger mightier forces behind this case...The evidence is weak too.
I have had a chance to journey with Janet and i must say she is a strong Woman. Over the years she has displayed integrity of higher level and has managed to keep her family strong even while in Prison ... her children have suffered emotionally .. lets me say they have been through it all and that they are the most strongest people i know. Janet's son had an accident awhile back and no member of their dad's esteemed family was there for him... other than Aunties from mum's side and a cousin who stays with them.
As i always say ... the guilty one's are free and fit. Such cases makes me question the manner in which murder cases are investigated in this country. Well ...ours is not to judge but to walk with the victims. Still waiting for the moment of truth in this case.
Assacinators, car Jackers behave exactly the way they did with Janet. They will kidnap a person to disguise their identity/intention. so who suffers in long run... the victims.

She is lucky she is now serving a 10-year sentence from 2019 after she was resentenced. Otherwise, her initial appeal in 2015 had made things worse for her when the appeal judge substituted her 30-year sentence with the death sentence. So, she is not out yet, and should not be for a long time.
