    Hello Israel, I just came across your video and its very informative, thank you. However, I have some questions concerning the Resume content
    First you talked about adding relevant course work. The concepts you listed apply to those who studied computer science in school. What of people like me who studied a different course in uni but later transitioned to tech, how should we fill up that are?
    Same question applies to the Activities too
    Lastly, what do you suggest a programmer who doesn't have work experience yet but have successful personal freelance projects do when creating hus resume using your template?

    • @favoritetechbro
      @favoritetechbro  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Glad you found the video helpful.
      First, I will say no matter what you studied in uni, if you have a B.Sc, even though transitioning, you still want to add that to you resume. A B.Sc is always a good sign. Activities mostly have to do with tech related activities like hackathons and stuff, but if you say held a leadership position, you might want to add that, cause leadership positions also look great on your resume especially if you graduated recently.
      Not sure if i mentioned it in the video, but I would convert the work experience section to a project section, and then list the projects i've worked on in a similar fashion - by adding bullet points of the things that I achieved in each project.

    Amazing 👏🏼👏🏼
    What's your advise regarding education for those that didn't study relevant course in school? How should they make up for education

    • @favoritetechbro
      @favoritetechbro  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You really should just list your education as it is. Hopefully you did some random course (even if it's just maths) that's related to the role you're applying for. If not. Just list it as it is. You probably want to add some online course if you have taken any, that's related to the new role you're applying for and then make up for the lack of similar eduction in projects.

    Hi Israel, what do you think about adding a professional summary?

    • @favoritetechbro
      @favoritetechbro  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Personally, I don't see a reason for it, between your resume (without professional summary) and your cover letter (for jobs that require it) you should be good.

    Thank you for the information, I have a question when you mentioned if you don’t have up to 5 years of experience, you don’t have to make your resume more than a page, if you have a done lots of stuff within the period to that may extend 1 page, will you still recommend a page and why?

    • @favoritetechbro
      @favoritetechbro  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I will still recommend a page. 1. Try to fit in as many things as possible. 2. Put the projects you're most proud of or that better communicate your skills.
