You should have put The Messenger and Sea of Stars together to highlight that they share an in game universe and themes. Really cool to see how they tie together in completely different gaming experiences

This is an amazing list, and one of the best I've seen so far for modern retro games on Switch. I would, however, like to throw in my own recommendation of a modern game with old school roots: Chained Echoes. It's a JRPG with great gameplay and graphics that anyone who loved playing Final Fantasy, Chroni Trigger, Dragon Quest, etc. growing up will love. And even if youre not ancient, it's still am amazing game! The fact that it was made by a single developer (as in **one** person) is just unbelievable.
.. Retro means modern vintage styled. So by saying Modern Retro games is like saying modern modern vintage games. Its like saying ATM machine. But I'm no linguist, nice content!

I don't agree with Sonic Superstars, while there are good things about it. You simply cannot beat hand drawn animation, Sega using polygons is a cheap way out.
You just press forward & jump as the levels are completely mapped out for that simple gameplay, that very gameplay that almost killed Sonic off for some reason Nintendo carry it & it’s the same thing over & over, extremely tedious!

If you want to play games for longer, I recommend Switch. Switch lite is slightly weaker in terms of charge and size.
