Hi Barbara ! Thanks so much for watching ! 😁 Please tell me more about dissolving potassium into these, what are the benefits ? I've never heard of this, so am very curious and want to learn
@@BakeLikeAPro order it from Amazon. You dissolve 1 part to 2 parts water then when you are ready to mix it in your jello mixture I added 1 tsp. So I added 1 tsp to your recipe here. It helps to preserve the gummies. You can use it in many recipes. It is best known for use in beer and wine. I might add that it does not affect the taste
I used a recipe I found for "Knox blocks" which calls for 3-3oz. packages of Jello, 4 of unflavored gelatin, and 4 cups of water. This is the same as the recipe for Jello gigglers. I wanted to be sure so I used one extra UG. I used Cherry flavored Jello. I substituted 1/2 cup concentrated cranberry juice and 1/2 cup concord grape juice for the last cup of water. It came out perfect in consistency and the flavor is delicious. Better than I expected!!! Thanks for your video!!!:)

For anyone wondering I did this with the 6oz box of jello and 2 packs of gelatin and 1 1/2 cup of water on the stove and it make 470ml of liquid so if you have mini bears like me they are 1ml each then you will either have to buy 2 packs of the gummy molds to get 400 gummies or just make have a box of you have the 6oz box for the mini bears

Francesca Tinti Hi Francesca, I'm glad you are going to try it out, super easy and yes, very few ingredients. It's a no-fail method so you will have an easy time. Thanks for watching :-)
Hi there. Way easier than what I've gone through, making gummies from scratch with bone broth, juice and powdered gelatin. Mine might be healthier (I do it for the extra protein, not for the flavor so much) but yours guarantees a sweet taste, every batch. BTW: I bought a 100cc disposable syringe on Amazon, which makes it easy to fill my molds. I use a mold that's shaped like a gum drop when they pop out (flat on the bottom) and each gummy holds 5cc (1 tsp). Each mold holds 24 gummies, and I make a batch that fills 4 molds. Around 2 cups of liquid will fill 4 molds. (I only have 2 molds, so after one batch sets, I pop them out, place them in a glass jar, and use the remaining cup of liquid for 2 more molds.) If you don't use jello, don't be surprised that the flavor will be kind of weak. Use plenty of sweetener so they'll at least be sweet if not flavorful. Juice isn't quite concentrated enough to satisfy like jello does. Good luck!

mawpatti Hi mawpatti, they do not need to be refrigerated, just keep them in a container on your counter and they will be fine. I'd put them on a little waxed paper in a container, so they peel off easier. I hope this helps, and thanks for watching :-)
Hi Harry ! 🙂 Welcome aboard! Thanks so much for subbing ! you're going to love these. Please take a minute to read the dozens / hundreds of comments from others who have tried this below the video in the comment section.
Hello there, I keep them in the fridge if the kitchen is too warm. Keeping them in the fridge will keep them more firm. If you have a tiny bit of parchment paper, that's an excellent way to keep them in a little container, as they don't stick. Thank you for watching my video 👍😊 I'm glad you enjoyed it ! If you are on Facebook, please stop ✅by my page some day: 🔻 facebook.com/bakelikeapro ✅
I make gummies, and investing in Wilton's (or any other brand, really) squeeze bottles helps tremendously! It may make your life easier for multiple food related projects. Nice video, friend. :)
I really enjoy watching your videos and the simple way you explain how to prepare the recipes. I have already made the chocolate mousse cake and it was super. Thank you.
They will start to shrink over time. To keep them from sticking to each other, you can sprinkle a bit of corn starch over them. If you find the are sticking, put them into the fridge, this will make them more firm, and less sticky. Glad you enjoyed the video ! Thanks so much for watching ! 😊
Hello. I can't wait to make these this weekend with my granddaughter and her friend. silly question but if I'm using 170gram box of jello, do i double the ingredients so 11/2 cup of water and 2 tablespoons of gelatin? each package of gelatin is 1.8 grams, 1/4 of the envelope so how much would I use? Thanks so much and hope to hear from you before sunday!
Hi Naomi 🙂 I had to go back to the recipe to see what the size of Jell-O I was using, so mine was 85 grams, close enough to 1/2 of what yours was. I would maybe use about 1 cup of water total ( maximum ) - the amount of gelatin inside those packets of Jell-O is really negligible, it's the gelatin that we add is what is what really binds everything together. If you want to keep everything the same as in my video, you will want to double - everything. So water would be doubled, gelatin would be doubled also.... this would keep the ratios the same. This of course is going to give you a lot more end-product, so keep that in mind. Now if you think you want more firm gummy bears, you can reduce the water a little bit so you aren't using 2x the total amount. If I just made things more confusing, please ask me something else and I'll try to explain. So yeah, bottom line, your Jell-O box is basically double mine, and if you use the SAME water I did, then yup you must double your water, and double that gelatin, that will give you what you see in my video. If you want them a bit more firm, don't use as much water... maybe just less than double.... do NOT use more water ! they won't turn out if you do.
@@BakeLikeAPro thank you so much for answering me! I got it, I’ll use a little less than double on the water and a little less then 2 tablespoons of gelatin. Thank you again.
@@BakeLikeAPro well, these gummies did not turn out like gummies at all. They were more like a Jell-O.Bear then a gummy bear. I might have used too much gelatin, so I’ll try it again using the same quantity of ingredients that you did. Thank you for taking the time to answer.
Not a big fan of candy in general but its cool to understand all it takes is how you make jello with one addition ingrediant the gelatin to make gummy based candy. The shapes and molds can be endless and as big /small as you want or artistic as you want. Or one can sprinkle flour mixed with sugar on top of the gummy bears to have the sugar coating look
They will get softer over time when left out, if they do, a few minutes in the fridge will firm them up. I haven't found they dry out much at all. They will be gone quickly, they are fun and taste very good too. Thanks for watching ! 😁

Hello NASA ! 🙂 Thanks so much for taking the time to watch, I'm glad you enjoyed it !
how cute..do these have to be refrigerated after you make them or can they be left out on a counter or stored?
mawpatti Hi mawpatti, they do not need to be refrigerated, just keep them in a container on your counter and they will be fine. I'd put them on a little waxed paper in a container, so they peel off easier. I hope this helps, and thanks for watching :-)
thank you so much for that info I cant wait to try these for my kids!! :-)

looks easy to make & yummy too...this would be fun for a house party
coachgirl82 Hi coachgirl82, thanks for watching, super easy to make, and yes, fun for a party for sure !
Thank you for sharing! I am trying this recipe today. How do you keep them?
Hello there, I keep them in the fridge if the kitchen is too warm. Keeping them in the fridge will keep them more firm. If you have a tiny bit of parchment paper, that's an excellent way to keep them in a little container, as they don't stick. Thank you for watching my video 👍😊 I'm glad you enjoyed it !

@@BakeLikeAPro Thank you
I used a medicine dropper like the kids one that has 10 mL and then I started that into the mold and it helped a lot
Let me try this right now
Hi Naledi, it's 3 hours later, I hope they turned out great ! 😁
I make gummies, and investing in Wilton's (or any other brand, really) squeeze bottles helps tremendously! It may make your life easier for multiple food related projects. Nice video, friend. :)
+Alexis Winter a squeeze bottle sounds like a great idea Alexis, thanks for suggesting that, good to know.
BakeLikeAPro I hope it comes in handy! Your channel is great. Definitely subscribing!
+Alexis Winter Hi again Alexis, ah thank you :-) I appreciate your nice comments and thank you for thinking about subscribing :-)
I really enjoy watching your videos and the simple way you explain how to prepare the recipes. I have already made the chocolate mousse cake and it was super. Thank you.
I love your videos you have a really nice gift that many people wish to have
Vinaya Chaitram Hi Vinaya, ah thanks for your kind words, I appreciate them :-) Thanks for watching !
Ur welcome
I'm gonna do this later I really hope they turn out like yours
How long deaux they last? And do you have to keep in refrigerator . After they are done? Thank you looks so good
They will start to shrink over time. To keep them from sticking to each other, you can sprinkle a bit of corn starch over them. If you find the are sticking, put them into the fridge, this will make them more firm, and less sticky. Glad you enjoyed the video ! Thanks so much for watching ! 😊
Best tutorials very detailed love them thank you from Chicago! BakeLikeAPro
A Medrano Hi there, thanks for your kind words :-) I do appreciate them :-)
@@BakeLikeAPro but also, how do you get rid of all the bubbles?
Ahhh ! tap the mold ... tap tap tap !!! that will force any air bubbles upwards and out !
@@BakeLikeAPro well, these gummies did not turn out like gummies at all. They were more like a Jell-O.Bear then a gummy bear. I might have used too much gelatin, so I’ll try it again using the same quantity of ingredients that you did. Thank you for taking the time to answer.
love this very infromative!!!
Hi Me and her 🙂 Thanks so much for watching !
Wow, that is really neat! I didn't know it could be so easy to make gummy bears. Thank-you for such a clear teaching.
Thanks for watching Judy ! 🙂
I know im late but can i leave these out for a couple of hours to dry and become more chewy or will they melt?
They will get softer over time when left out, if they do, a few minutes in the fridge will firm them up. I haven't found they dry out much at all. They will be gone quickly, they are fun and taste very good too. Thanks for watching ! 😁
I just poured mine into a 36-cavity Valentine hearts mold, I'm excited to see how they come out! Thank you for this detailed video, it was awesome! :)

Hey in stead of using jello can you use a flavored drink like soda or other flavorings
Thanks for the great explanation!

@@BakeLikeAPro okay, I will make sure to check it out!
Hi! If I wanted to add a second gelatin packet to add firmness, would I have to keep the same amount of water? I'm assuming so for extra firmness, but I just want to make sure. Thank you!
The more gelatin you add the more firm it would be.
Thanks a lot 👏👏
You're welcome 😊 and thanks for watching Seven Star !
Awesome
I made them, but haven't tried them yet, I will in about an hour.
Silly question, do they melt if they are out of the fridge?
