pick mine up today. been trying to get a lowrider st but our dealer said they are sold out until mid 2023 so when this was announced i went right to the HD website and ordered mine. when i went to the dealer the next day he said there were 30 people in the queue behind me so i got extremely lucky i jumped on it. my dealer charages msrp and this bike is def worth the price. the paint job is AT LEAST a $5k value along with the RF audio ($1k). that pretty much makes up the price difference and the fact that the bike is an limited icon will make it ALWAYS valuable. so i'm super pumped and very fortunite that i got one. cant wait to give it a ride today!
Seeing it at all of the Milwaukee area dealers during the Rally (hint, never miss a Rally in HD's home town for access to limited edition bikes!), the paint is screaming! There is absolutely no way to show/describe it without seeing it in person. Definitely a great look to collect/ride if you've got the cash and want it!
Sharp looking bike, even for a non-Harley guy like me. Would have liked to see a few other premium touches added for that price, though... maybe a full Stage 1, LED's all around, and a custom stitched seat to match that badass paint job.
The craziest part isnt the MSRP price, as those who have priced out a truly quality custom paint job, your going to find that 5-7k isnt an outlandish price for custom paint at all. The real dinger is the fact that the Dealerships themselves will be putting a dealer markup anywhere from 6k all the way to 12 k on the bike as well. All my local dealers that have a simple black LowRider ST are all asking 28k for them....let alone a numbered, painted bike.....I have heard rumors of dealers asking 40k for them already....I could stomach the 27999 and the normal INSANE dealer fee's that only Harley dealers can justify....but 40k for a bike that should be 28k will take a HUGE HIT the minute I ride it off the lot....simply INSANE.....

In 1992, I bought a Low Rider FXRTC and rode until 2008. I was stupid in trading for a Street Glide. Nothing wrong with the SG, but I should have kept the FXR. The Low Rider is a great bike.
Harley nailed the paint scheme. It’s a beautiful bike and if money wasn’t a problem your dang straight I would buy one. It’s too bad that I’m currently paying for my 2021. Otherwise I would consider this bike.
The only thing I'm upset about it my dealer said my Fosgate radio is on back order until the new year and then they roll out 1500 systems on a cop magnet
@@tjmayer9103 all 6 Milwaukee dealers each had one for sale during the Hometown Rally this weekend. My dealer sold theirs by Friday. I'm lucky living near HD😉. Big demo fleets at all dealers and the Museum for test rides. Always one of the newest offerings for sale at each dealer as well.
The standard is the way to go. The paint is nice on the Diablo but it’s not worth the price the stereo sound system is a plus but since you can get it on the standard s model for 2k it’s a no brainer.
I’m hearing rumors that current aftermarket tuners that are not compliant within EPA specifications maybe possibly become illegal and restrict the sale to customers regardless of warranty applicability. Anyone else hear this ? If I purchase a dyno jet now will it work in 5 years when I initially install and upload or can they somehow restrict the ability to tune outside the epa window ?
Haven’t heard of the illegality of aftermarket tuners, but if the EPA does go after those companies, very likely they’ll just stop making downloadable tune and software for those models like Harley did when it moved from the race tuner to the current street tuner. Since most most tuners are married to the ECM by VIN, the old tuners will just fade away over time.
@@KennyQuestShow so what your saying is get the pv3 to maximize the numbers but loose warranty. I’m curious what improvements if any the pv4 has over the Se tuner
@@palmettolowlife1996 I chose the PV4 for maximum flexibility…. I can tune multiple bikes with a single PV4 unit, the unit doesn’t need to stay attached to the ECMu and it can be warranty compliant for any bike with a warranty and I wanted a Dyno branded tuner to support a custom tune should I choose to have one done with a professional Dyno machine for out of warranty bikes.

It really is a custom paint job and stereo, which from my own experience cannot be heard on hwy especially with FF. I've had custom numbered FXR;s in the past I got no more money from them when I sold. Would a collector pay more absolutely . If it had low miles and was pristine like my FXR3 probably. But all things considered its still a killer name with killer paint add a exhaust, seat and risers and ride till wheels fall off. If you have the $$$ and want it go for it!! There's 4 of them for sale in my immediate area on the showroom floor only one of them is MSRP plus freight and surcharge I'm sure it wont last.. The other 3 are just stupid money.. Excuse my grammar. For your best bet. Hire a vet..
This bike is hot! Great to see HD doing custom paint on some of the standard models, not just on the CVO's! Numbers down under will be extremely limited and these will go quick!
I guess I just missed the “icon” part and what that means. I thought the idea was to bring back “old school” Harleys and retro fit them with todays technology. I’m not down with this bike at all. Harley really missed the point on this one. I mean dude, really ?? I am VERY disappointed over this choice but I hope on the flip side that folks that really want this bike can get it and enjoy the hell out of it…
it worth it if you really want the bike and want a new ride. But if Harley was smart. They wouldn't "over" charge for Painting a bike and making a one off's so limited they reduce the supply parts.. They need more plants in the US with low production costs
They’re lowering the production on all Harleys for profit that $28,000 Lowrider STL Diablo is gonna go for probably 36 $37,000 at the dealership with Mark up and people are gonna buy it

For those who have the money to buy it, kudos to them. Take a Low Rider ST, add the Rockford, custom paint and your looking at the same price point. Don't want to pay that much, there are plenty of other bike models that are less expensive and will get you down the road. Now that comment "ride the devil like the little b* he is" just brought up that Lil' Nas X video to mind. LOL!
Definitely not worth The Price point just because there numbered doesn’t make it worth more down the line and Harley-Davidson needs to stop looking in the past and Move Forward 🤷♂️🇺🇸
It’ll definitely make it worth more to a lot of people. But I think it’s wholly disappointing. They could have at least optioned it out, or put some custom touches on it. I’d never buy one at that price, just for a paint job-however cool looking it is.
Hey Ryan. I find everything about this bike. Being promoted as a Low Rider, but also a tribute to the FXRT - so which is it? Clearly a tribute to the Low Rider ST (which has exited all of 6-7 months so how can it be an "icon"?). An ST with a pretty expensive paint job.
This is a big IF bike.. IF you are set on the softail platform and not the touring platform IF you understand you will be paying alot more for less than you would get with the touring platform IF you are dead set on ONLY the paint (the only real difference in the models) IF you truly think this bike will be collectible But most of all, IF its what you like, buy that bad boy. Life is short, buy the damn bike! Side note: Being called El Diablo should have had a 131 in it. That would have made the price difference in price worth it.

An estimated 40K, with dealer mark up's. Not worth it for the paint and a Fosgate stereo but it looks cool.

I went to buy one today. Would have been my third Harley. I was so excited. It was such a let down when I road it. Not worth 33k out the door
