We have a 2006 Itasca Suncruiser and it has carpet and what looks like thick glue down squares as the flooring. I would love to change it out. We just put down a very nice glue down vinyl plank flooring in our house to get ready to sell it. What are your thoughts on a glue down? Thanks
That first plank of wood you put down do you glue it or just lay it down? just wondering because you said you leave a 1/4 inch gap at the start, so what prevents the floor from moving/shifting? I've never done that type of flooring before, so it's all new to me. Thanks!
Hi I just found your channel, my friend is getting his license and he’s thinking about purchasing a 1986 Winnebago chieftain. It’s priced at $1300 & only runs in reverse it needs a complete remodeling on the inside & I was wondering gonna ask do you know what might be causing it to only run in reverse? I can link the page to you.
That’s a great video , however - what about the flooring underneath the cabinets? My cabinets run from the floor to the ceiling, I would imagine it would be difficult to run flooring underneath.
Just curious about the saw blade. That thing like a ripper but it seems to leave a smooth edge. Im just inquiring what kind of blade that was. Im not a bladeoligist. I've only used two kinds, cutting 2xs with a gnarly tooth and a fine tooth. Retiring soon and want to make my 2003 look nice.
Since LVP is a floating floor meant to be able to expand and contract, I assume you attach your trim to the camper wall. Do you use glue or what type of fasteners do you use into a camper wall material?
We r upgrading our flooring from carpet in a 1999 Jayco Designer Series
When using a sheet vinyl overlap as a flush slide transition doesn't it want to tear? Do you treat the exposed edge with something? Thanks!
That was a very nice, well thought out, succinct explanation. Great job! I learned a lot. But dang! Learn how to wear that baseball cap the right way!
@218Mike I'm glad you found the video helpful! The hat was worn backwards to eliminate a dark shadow on the face during filming 😉
Your mom wore her hat backwards last night

How do you do the slides
Do you have a link or name for that type of flooring?
That is some great knowledge. Thank you

nice video, Question what size are those planks? 6mil, 12mil, 20mil, etc???
I believe these were 8 mil, but we have used many different sizes.
@@TheFlippinTilbys thanks!
I see you don't have underlayment. Is it an attached one? If not, wouldn't it help with sound deadening and some insulation?
This particular flooring did have the underlayment attached to each piece
Any videos on changing the decking of the floor?
Not yet, but stay tuned. We are bound to have one eventually.
Have you ever used pontoon flooring?? for the flips
We haven't. Is it great stuff?
We had the AC go out in out home and the LPV flooring and the floor buckled.

Sounds like transmission work.
Last time I did mine is 99 cents a square foot pergo glued it down it was fine

No point in replacing something you can't see
Did you cover removal of the existing flooring?
We actually didn't on this one.

We have a couple of saw blades we switch between. We have a 24 tooth for dimensional lumber and a 60 tooth for finish cutting and panels.

Great comment. Yes, we attach our trim to the wall of the rv, not the floor. We use an 18 gauge finish nail gun with 1 1/2 nails.
Hello! What brand should I go with in the LVP?
There are so many brands these days. We use whatever brand has the style of flooring we are looking for.
How long did it take to redo your flooring??
@@CaseyLogas it usually takes 2-3 days for rip out, prep, laying, and trim work. It could possibly be done in a day if it was a very simple layout.
