- Day 31... I wish I could use an exclamation mark, but today I also met the 'man with the hammer'. I feel totally FCKD. No, not that bad, it's a CV target in the Bees in the Trees firmware and it sounds amazing. So do I. I just can't believe I did 31 days again and I am aware it wasn't all top notch. But I think I managed to preserve my a consistent level of quality. I just can't wait to take more time for the next video.
As you may have noticed, ads are gone again. No distractions. It's also been a month of finding my way as a 'youtuber' and where Id' fit in. This video is a lousy review, demo and walkthrough and most of my videos are just impressions of what could be done if you want to make music with a modular. Personally I don't care how Braids works and how many menu items BITT has. 'Care' as in 'interest'.
I am not a technician or technocrat either. If it powers up when you flip the switch I am fine, otherwise I'll reverse the cable. What I do is experimenting. I don't 'care' about the raw sound of a VCO, just like I don't care about eating a raw potato. It needs to be cooked, fried, poached, seasoned and served with a great sauce. A raw VCO tastes terrible and I can never make a 'this knob does that video'. I need to cook recipes. That's what my channel was, is, and will always be about. I don't want you to buy anything I use but if you do, I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do. Just drown it in reverb. See you in February!

That was a great ride! January was tought for me. I stop smoking and the only thing that was still interesting me was your daily videos. Thanks for that!
stay strong brother! once you´ve overcome the urge, your health and live quality will be so much better ✊💪 and think of all the money you save (and you´ll lose quick, thanks to modular 😂)
Yes, great series. Wow! And the best video production around.
NOTE: Original Braids can keep you busy for ages and the 'Bees' manual clearly recommends getting to know original Braids first otherwise you will completely get lost.
If my Braids hadn’t arrived this morning, that BOWD patch would have made rush out and buy one… A month to be proud of- great work Robert!
Due to your lovely video's I've been watching for some time, I recently took the plunge into the modular world. I recently got myself MI Clouds, Plaits, Ripples, CVPal module and expecting the lovely Braids tomorrow. Thanks again for all your amazing inspirational videos! ❤
So good to hear and thanks for sharing. Now keep an eye open for a Marbles, Tides, Veils and Stages and you'll have all the modules you'd ever need. You can make albums with that combo.
@@CinematicLaboratory thanks for the tip. I will hunt try and hunt them down for sure 🙂
Thank you for this jamuary! Your channel made this month much better 😀
Beau travail sur le son et sur l’image ! Bravo pour cette série de janvier ! Quel boulot !
Merci Beaucoup et au revoir a Fevrier!
Wow, what a great video series from you this month, many thanks, awesome work! 🙂
Your production quality is just insane. 🙏
Nice one, mate!!
I should try the Braids firmware in my Vult Freak I guess.
Could you please help how to see in Braids which firmware version I currently have installed?
The manual says: Click the encoder and scroll to the last entry. Mine says v 1.8. I am running Mutable firmware again. Bees in the Trees is just too massive, the menu doesn't end.
@@CinematicLaboratoryit is as in manual, thank you!
