"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no what the fudge, no, no, no" - GM HIkaru. Blunder paid off.

2:06:50 "Anish said he just wants to go home?" 2:07:14 "You know what I think it is? You know what my guess is? I think Ian just wants to go home."

I think g3 baffled Hikaru so much that he forgot he's just repeating what he just mentioned lmao

I see how Hikaru is so good at blitz; he perfectly went right through the five stages of grief after Ian's blunder.

03:43:30: Holy shit.. I don't know how the reporter didn't pick up on Ians diss to Magnus, but commended him on grace and dignity... I agree with Hikarus hot take. Lol

Yep that was cheap of him.

But why would he not just try and equalise? It’s the world championship match and all about winning, not pleasing fans or anything.

@@cardscook7721 magnus was the only player who tried

Nepo is so accustomed to putting pressure on his opponent, his playing too quickly almost comes at a fear of being under pressure himself. It seems like his objective evaluation and overall assessment of the position became more and more subjective as each game mounted more pressure him like a clock ticking down. In the end his strongest feat, too unbalanced and dependent as he was on it, became his weakest point causing temporary blindness to his own weaknesses and his opponents strengths etc. During the press conference his evaluation of the current situation or even past games seems indirect or inaccurate everyone thinks nothing of it since he just lost, but he’s a top grandmasters he shouldn’t be losing his objectivity but what do I know?

It is so dirty by Magnus. He's forcing a line with a rock ending 😅😅

    That blunder tho

I don't think that's what Ian was saying.
I think he was basically alluding to the fact Magnus wasn't playing very dynamic and pressing chess and was happy to play conservatively and wait for Ian to blunder

It seems that trying to read into subtle insults by a guy speaking in a language that he is not totally comfortable in is pretty crazy.
