No. I have no love for these people who support a government that sends their men to die - now over 600,000 people. I have. I have zero love for these people who celebrate the receipt of military aid from a corrupt government produced from a rigged election. The same government that has been instrumental in CREATING the war on their territory with this puppet-clown Zelinski. I have NO love for these people who glorify the Nazis and Stepan Bandera. These people live in a surveillance state. Even if they wanted to disagree, they could not. The SBU would make them disappear.

I wouldn't fret (worry) about the few people in the American Congress (parliament) that aren't interested in the situation outside of its borders. By and large, bipartisan support within the government for Ukraine is quite high. In the past I would see some people drive their trucks around town with very large American flags (something like 2 meters by 1 meter). Around the United States, these American flags were replaced with that of the Ukrainian flag to show support for Ukrainian sovereignty and independence. Also, among all of the countries, relations between the governments of the United States and Russia have never been very good (aside from a few sporadic years in the late 90s and early 2000s). I don't think many Americans tolerate bullies, especially if its Russia trying to assert dominance over Ukraine. What the Russian government also seems to not understand is by targeting civilians it only incites "the West" to provide greater aid to Ukraine.

unfortunately it's a lot more than a few and it's in the most powerful seats in our government, so i understand their concern, and on top of that it's just been historically fashionable to steer the opposition direction when a party has nothing to sell, and at the moment, the GoP is hitting rock bottom, so they're really grasping hard any anti-biden rhetoric they can find, as baseless as it may be. i hope we can go back to having somewhat sane politicians on the right again, it's bad for democracy and it's making the GoP shed voters. at the moment that's good, but i truly believe the evenly split two party system is a part of why we've been so successful. idiots on either side would probably be bad for us, and the even split keeps it balanced in the middle where we seem to do best

One thing all Americans agree is that supporting Ukraine is the right decision. I personally sponsor a Ukrainian single mother of a 3 year old boy with $600 USD a month who's been out of work since the war. To the other Americans reading this.... $600 USD goes a long ways in Ukraine. But I haven't heard one American say supporting Ukraine is a bad decision.

Ps if anyone else wants to sponsor a Ukrainian I encourage that you do so. Cost of living there is very low. The lady I help only pays $300 a month for rent. What may be a little bit of money for you will be a huge help for them. With the war going on over there many folks are out of work in some areas or had to relocate and could really use the help. God bless Ukraine I pray for y'all every night 🇺🇦

@@Abysstvs It depends where one lives and what kind of apartment, but average rent in Ukraine is about $70 a month, average salary is about $400 a month. I'm a former US expat who lived in Ukraine until the war, I only left because my mom was too worried about me and my children. Cost of living is very low in comparison to US (for Americans, not necessarily Ukrainians) so if you have disposable income it will be easy-peasy to help support a family in Ukraine.

As a Ukrainian Canadian I’m very thankful for Americas support of Ukraine in her time of need. This was the America I idolized as a child. But also being Canadian, I’ve seen their decline the past couple of decades, especially with the trump infection.

I wish Ukraine the best in reclaiming their freedom from Russia, and I think they will succeed. But I think Ukraine may struggle afterward to maintain the freedom of the people, because wars and war money are yet another thing that can feed the corruption of officials.
As for how Ukrainians feel about the US ... I think that honestly for them the US is very distant and they are just using the US. They don't really know about the US or care about it.🗽

I grew up during the cold war in an anticommunist family with a lot of sympathy for Ukraine, but didn't really pay attention until 2014 and was frustrated we didn't help more. Then coincidentally I discovered Jinjer in 2018 and they instantly became my favorite band. Despite their having ambivalent feelings back then it made my pro-Ukraine feelings more personal. And having grown up with rightwing propaganda I later rejected I could understand how even smart people can be victims of propaganda. Also I have a Ukrainian coworker now. On days when are in the office together we usually sit down and talk for an hour to catch up. I have a military background and as a kid read everything I could find about military tech so I share that side and he gives an on the ground view from friends and family in the Mykolaiv area.
Btw the narrative that Ukraine will lose aid if the counteroffensive isn't a spectacular success is nonsense, at least as far as America goes. It's locked in for reasons of political structure and because of the geopolitical threats we face. The only Chance Putin has is if Trump gets elected and he's got a snowball's chance in hell.
Ok, a bit of detail. The Republicans in general are softer on aid to Ukraine though that's by no means universal. But everything we give Ukraine congress compensates the military for, they they can use that to buy new weapons. And the Republicans in general are more in the pocket of the military industrial complex while Democrats tend to fight for cuts to military spending. So even if Republicans aren't as pro Ukraine in general, they'll still vote for aid as a backdoor way to increase military spending.
Also there's a narrative that we should focus on China instead since it looks very likely that we'll be in a war there soon. But I guarantee you nobody in Congress except maybe MTG is stupid enough to believes that's how it works. America's military has been set up since the cold war to fight two wars simultaneously - one in Europe against Russia and one in Asia against China and/or North Korea. But Ukraine is cutting Russia down to size so we _can_ focus nearly everything on China, and everyone in our military and government who has looked honestly at the question has concluded that supporting Ukraine is the most militarily efficient way to take Russia off the board. Also, restarting large scale production of munitions for Ukraine gives us a huge head start on that eventual future war, and those weapon replacements that are paid for by support for Ukraine is letting the military modernize our hardware.

It's great to hear the positive comments from the people of Ukraine, as the world already knows, once The United States shows up we never leave, lol. But on a more serious note, we spent 20 years in Afghanistan and we will spend even more in helping Ukraine to victory.

I'm American and I think the US should do more. Ukraine should have had squadrons of F16's and F15's a year ago. There has been too much emphasis on making sure Russia loses, and not enough on ensuring Ukraine wins.

I had interesting conversations with Ukrainians in Kyiv in 2019 about their new leader. I remember telling them that the US would send much better weapons than Russia has if they were invaded. I am sad about the war, but glad we have the leadership to assure that Ukraine wins. 🇺🇦🇺🇸

It’s when people use Ukrainian and russian languages in one moment. When Ukrainian words are using not correct because of influence of russian language on this. I don’t like it, hope that people will more use only correct Ukrainian words. But it’s also when in one sentence people use mix of words from Ukrainian and russian.

@@olgafromkyiv I live on the border of USA California and Mexico. We have "Spanglish", Spanish-English. I can see your opinion on mix with Russian. Better to move forward with Ukranian. My parents spoke Polish and German as children. They only spoke English to us so we would speak as a native English speakers. But living on the border of USA and Mexico, you learn some Spanglish with others. Your English is pretty good👍

Americans as such are o.k., but their nation seems to be polarized and in internal crisis as never before. Since Trump lost the election, one can only wonder what will happen, if he is arrested or not allowed to run for another term. This is a matter of concern, because what the world needs is not a superpower that is unstable. Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰🇺🇦

As an American, I am so happy my tax dollars are going to Ukraine right now. Also to the young lady who talked about the Republicans, I generally despise the Republicans, but on the issue of Ukraine they are almost as strong as the Dems are. The big Senate vote was 95-4. The only problem is Trump. But even in a worse case scenario where Trump beats Biden there is a 3 month period after the election where Biden can flood money to Ukraine. But really, the war will be over way before then
