Day 9 of our Leh-Ladakh expedition began with the sun casting its golden glow over Hunder. At the crack of dawn, we hit the road, fueled by anticipation and adrenaline. Our destination? The legendary Siachen Base Camp-a place where courage meets altitude.
Starting Point: Hunder
9:00 AM: We revved up our engines, leaving behind the tranquil sand dunes of Hunder. The Himalayan peaks stood tall, welcoming us to a day of epic proportions.
Petrol Pit Stop: En route, we stopped at the Khalsar Petrol Pump to refuel our trusty steed. The mountains echoed with the hum of our engines as we prepared for the ascent.
The Journey Unfolds: Hunder to Siachen Base Camp
Army Checkposts: Our path was guarded by multiple Army checkposts. The soldiers in uniform ensured our safety, reminding us of the sacrifices made in these icy heights.
ILC Permit: If you’re embarking on this adventure, remember to carry your Inner Line Permit (ILC). It’s your golden ticket to traverse these strategic lands.
Panamik: The road wound through the enchanting village of Panamik. Here, hot springs bubbled, and apricot orchards painted the landscape.
Photography Breaks: Every turn revealed a new vista. We paused often, capturing the grandeur of Ladakh. Snow-capped peaks, prayer flags fluttering, and the indomitable spirit of adventure-it was all here.
