EVANGELIST ROGER MANSOUR
I used to listen to this all the time in 2015 and boosting the bass on my phone lmao.
This is why i learned bass guitar!
I am starting to learn the bass, I started listening to bands like dub war and then this came up in the recommendations.
Way back 1984-85 Timothy L Jones introduced me to the Scientist and Prince Jammy. Back then i wasn’t ready musically for this but over the years my ears have become more educated. Thanks Tim and I apologize for being a crappy friend.
I am so thankful for TH-cam for giving me a platform to find Dub Music. I had such a hard time looking for it previously.
Scientist rids the world of haters
good luck on that one
Pure Loving vibes , transforms haters
Anything Tony McDermott put his artwork on was TopShape!!
Oh my gosh....way back 41 years ... I and my 2 brothers (MTSRIP) ...this was our second album (vynil) by Scientist ....we use to chill till dawn during festive season playing only Reggae our favourite music genre....Reggae gigs were our only way of entertainment ..Scientist ...Dub Master.

Love the Scientist dubs, they are the true Scientist of dubs ☘️❤️
Without this album, my whole life would be different. Seriously.

If you’re listening to it than you’re experiencing it..one-jab gets me everytime... that ms nancy samples ouuuu dancing shoes 👞 👞
Scientist is still alive to this day, too
Late 70"s early 80's dub is mystical. Modern music from JA has lost this.
Wow! A couple of years ago, on a beach in Jamaica, I had a great conversation with a group of Jamaicans who were sitting on the shore. I asked them, 'whatever happened to Jamaican music - you people offered the world so much at one point?' He stared at me, with sadness in his eyes, and told me, 'you (white) Europeans have got more respect for Jamaican culture (music) than we Jamaicans'. He told me this in front of his brethren. To this day, it still puts tears in my eyes. God bless Jamaica. Blessings & peace.
@@darrendodd6674 very sad to hear that coming from a local, I imagine. It’s the magical ones that periodically have to “Light a Fire” in the game and ignite the soul of real Jamaican music! When that happens (Robert, Peter, and Bunny... Sly & Robbie... Beenie Man, etc.).... no one can deny it!
@@jjstratford very true, my friend - that list is endless, when it comes to the island's talent. I could be just plain old economics that is determining the output. A lot of music that I hear, when I go there, is just really lame dancehall vibes/ American R&B. It could be me getting old. The days of Studio One/ Treasure Isle high standard is long gone, unfortunately. That's not even considering the quality of the lesser known labels/ artists (which was always overlooked).
They used analog equipment back then.
This record rocks so much. I'm totally baffled.
Big up from Swiss🇨🇭🔥🙏
Scientist one of the realist in the business!!!!!!
what a scientist!!
Dubwise you can't criticise. Open up your ears and your eyes as the sound testify and realise.
I still have this album..wicked dub.
The God of dub
I had this album when I was young, what days
Simply the BEST dub album ever made.

Just when i pressed play i noticed a 2 mm spider on the bassspeaker, the beat dropped and it was launched off!

Off rip I ain't never heard a full scientist album before this was so damn Dope no bull Sh*+ Freaking Awesome...
I just bought it on vinyl
I just found out about him
a week ago. Lemme tell you. Listening to this on vinyl is dope
I remembered vaguely that Scientist basically was the entire radio station associated with the Jamaican Yardie gang in GTA3, and I liked it then, but in a shallower way because I was just a young'n. Listening today, I am delighted, amazed. I can't believe all this is from 1980. These days, we have largely strayed from former greatness in terms of the music we humans are making. Thank God some much older stuff is well-preserved and available for free online!
@@vieasbeauty189 in stereo with good headphones….😫
Check Spotify. There's literally 58 scientist albums. I counted. Lol
@@b__p - I’m glad that everyone is now discovering this music that we used to play on sound systems 40 years ago. I still have every single one of his albums (the ones a wanted) on vinyl probably about 30.
Put this on,tried to turn it off,..........couldn't do,do,do,do,do it.YEPYEPYEP.

- Anybody know any tracks with a similar riddim to Jab at 19:54 ? and not the original Rock and come in by Barrington Levy.
💥💥💥🕺🕺
Amazing to think that Scientist took over the mixing board at Tubbys at 19 years old to mix dubs although I hear that some sound effects were added in England by a talented white engineer too, dunno his name.
David Rodigan?
@@guidancefromjah no not him...
Nope! That’s the dangerous kind of narrative that tries to change the history of the music….
@mrtropical4657. NOPE. 100% WRONG. The person who told you that LIE is obviously trying to whitewash history.
@@vernansuccess I actually got that information in a comment online. The only people who could prove it one way or another would be the scientist himself or the people at Greensleeves.
