enjoyable...but now you need a video on how to EASILY remove the tire to begin with! That was the most challenging part of this operation...props to Bree!
@@Carsonous I understand how long did your batteries last without needing a replacement? I’m hoping to continue using my scooter to go to work till I can afford a dirt bike.
amzn.to/3UHvj5s I haven't tried this myself but it looks like a decent option. I read that it's best to soak in hot water first to make install easier.
Very nice! Thank goodness for kickass partners, my wife is also a Bamf. Great video, but take it from an adventure motorcycler- buy some real tire irons, even cheap ones are a huge deal
You do know these are chaosyang 12 inch tires. This can't be the only video. I happened to have the same scooter and this tube we got from Walmart does not fit the hub
It helps to hold down the hand brakes simultaneously when sliding the brake line by the tire tight. Adjust as needed. I hope that helps. I will be making future Phantom C1 videos.
You can usually get the slack out using the nut at the handlebar- loosen the big disk nut on the rear brake cable where it meets the hand lever. Then, back the narrower nut out of its place inside the brake lever a little bit at a time, squeezing the brake every few turns to check the tension. When it grips the brake hard enough to skid with your weight on it but doesn't rub the disk when not braking, tighten the wide lock nut back against the brake lever. In case you don't notice how it works, the wide disk nut locks the narrower one in place. Backing the inner nut out of the handle makes the outside of the brake cable longer while the wire inside stays the same length, removing the slack.
@@Carsonous do you know where to get replacement parts. I called and emailed phantom bikes to no avail. Do you know what the brake specs are so i can source new parts for the front rear brakes
How come I can't find a single video that tells you what kind of battery this thing takes? You can't find anything on the internet, nothing on their website, nothing on TH-cam. I guess I'm going to have to wait all the way until it gets shipped to my house then take it apart then look at the battery just to figure out what replacement battery I need so I can actually have a decent battery that lasts a long time and so I can upgrade the motor. So silly that people reviewing this bike just can't give the specs of everything
I would be curious to know as well. I think I've been slightly afraid to replace the battery. You're right that there's not many resources out there on it.
@@Carsonous sorry for going on a rant. The scooter has been driving me nuts, it's really nice but I live in an area with a bunch of hills so I needed to remove the speed limiter but I could find every single brushless motor controller except the brand that was in the phantom. Then I couldn't find info on the battery either and after a few days of riding at my handlebar came loose even though I tightened it up when I took it out of the box. I also tried reaching out to their customer service about wiring and the speed and if there was anything I could do to stop the handlebars from getting loose and they basically told me they just put the bike together and if it doesn't have their name on it they have no information on it at all (even though they assembled it and buy stuff from a specific company).. they couldn't even put me in touch with the company that made the brushless controller or direct me to their website since it mysteriously does not exist and no photo online exists of the controller lol. I finally said screw it and I gave it to my kids and bought a better one.
BRO WHEN YOU CHANGE THE (entire) TIIIRRREEEEEE Just C🎬T the OLD one off… wit ✂️🔪🗡️ to save that wrestling energy for putting new one on… lol free game💯 but very valuable info i learned something… now how to fix the cruise control and where is it at in first place in the twist nob or ignition 😂 cc is when u whole throttle for 10 seconds and let go at any speed and it drives itself like a semi tesla lol well mine not working since flat happened
@carsonhardy -very cool how to video my dude 🤙🏼 Was curious if the new beefier tires slow down it down at all or if it’s the same exact speed as with the cheap original tires? Thnx 🫶🏼
Really bad tutorial what is the point of skipping all the hardest parts? Feels like half of this is skip hard part and ok now do what i just did off camera again to redo it

THANK YOU SO MUCH for the tutorial and doing all the legwork to source the stuff. You made this super easy and accessible.
You’re very welcome! I’m happy I could help

You are the man! I was Searching the tube for changing tires on phantom scooter, great how to video!
Thank you. I’m happy I could help you out. Happy riding!
Awesome production! Funny, quirky and 100% real, loved it! You should make this your full time job, quite entertaining!
Thanks so much for the kind words Greg! Maybe some day
Take the tube out first and look at the measurements on it before you buy new tubes
good advice!
Okay but the pats at the end are gold!
Haha thank you! I was a jazz drummer in another life.

Haha you're right. Thankfully I haven't gotten another flat.
try to get tire levers and a tire gauge before you do this. it will make the process easier.
thanks!
Great video, would you ever consider doing a video on the Phantomgogo r1 battery upgrades or reviews?
I definitely would. I've considered it several time but I just don't have the spare cash to purchase one myself.

Do you have a video on how to change the motor out for a higher wattage motor?
I do not. Been afraid to try that out ngl haha
I was just wondering what size solid tire should I get for that model

Thank you so much, Steffano. There’s more to come!

What tool to use to remove brake
Allen wrench
@@Carsonous thank
Is there a solid tire option?
Not that I’m aware of. Please let me know if you find anything.
Thanks for the response!!
Of course!
Did u ever find a power mod or speed limiter delete
I haven't...
Thanks for the video from Palm Beach Couldn’t you just cut the old tire for taking off and that’s going to save you time ?
You know that sounds a lot more entertaining haha. I simply didn't think of it.
A really great video and very helpful, thanks :)
Thank you!
Have u ever thought or tried the all rubber tires? So no flats? I am sure it’s a rougher ride but wondering how they work!
Not yet. No flats sounds amazing though!
I was thinking the same thing.
Thanks for the video and the link

So what's better of the two phantom c1 or the glairwheel.
From what I know they’re exact duplicates although I know Phantom Bikes has a repair shop they use.
@@Carsonous that's what I came to also the only difference I could find is the c1 has a bafang 350w motor otherwise they are the exact same thing
Can you provide Amazon link to angle tube replacement
I just updated the video description with it. Let me know if that helps!
I have the same scooter I want to upgrade the battery to 48v is that possible
If there’s a will, there’s a way
Does it work for front tire too?
The front tire should be easier. Slightly different bolt size
is C1 and R1 the same scooter???? mines R1yellow scooter like in your video
They’re practically the same but the r1 has more wattage
I wish I could have seen how you got that tire off and back on.
Me too. I went to the bathroom and she got it done 🤦♂️ 😂
Can you show how to adjust brakes properly, after changing my tire my back brake is essentially non existent I don't understand how it happened.
It helps to hold down the hand brakes simultaneously when sliding the brake line by the tire tight. Adjust as needed. I hope that helps. I will be making future Phantom C1 videos.
