    Your hinged bed flap that has the legs: may I suggest cutting it into two flaps so one can sit at desk mode while the other reclines?
    Great start!

    • @qasimkayla440
      @qasimkayla440  3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      That is a really really good idea, I thought about that after 2 months into our trip. Would definitely be a worth while modification! Also good if One wants to sit and the other wants to sleep!
      Thank You for the suggestion!

      @@qasimkayla440 Obviously if you make that modification, I suggest moving the closet-rod holders to the middle of each flap to center the weight-bearing load if only one flap is down.

    There is only one item I’d change and it’s a safety consideration. I’d move the propane tank further inboard as it is located in the least protected location structure wise. Maybe in the bed cubbies. Even an innocuous fender bender could cause a huge situation.

    A bunch of new ideas ( I've watched a million minivan videos) ...I'm on my third reorganization and I definitely can attest to the smartness of your thoughtful design....it is funny how when you start, you are SOOOOO set on certain things then as you live in your space...it changes. Would highly recommend to all new van dwellers/thinking about it that you do a no build build until you've lived in your van for a few months, Get a cot a mattress and some plastic storage bins...a cheap cooler ...do what you think you'd like for curtains but I've used clothes pins and plastic garbage bags...:)...I lived in a Rogue til fall of 2019 then bought the minivan that fall. So I moved my build from the Rogue over then last fall in 2020 had a friend build a bed and a deck for me....but now...am changing it again after living with what I though I liked :) I am definitely thinking of a set up like yours with a pull out table ...can't find anything that will work so think I'll just make my own. I wish that I could redo the bed so that if I so chose I could put it up into a sofa. I have a home now so can leave a lot of stuff there when I go out for winter...plus I don't need that much stuff as I thought I would. :) let me know if you are ever in IN.

      I’ve watched a ton of videos as well and I think you’re absolutely right, I’m not going to go crazy trying to get everything right , right outta the gate, start with just essentials, travel in it to see what works well for me, I will have my dog for a co-pilot . Too many options can stifle my decision making .

    I would go with a little less cutting board/ fridge- more head room.

    Hello! I like your campervan and I'm very interested to know how you made the bed and what's the size of the platforms you used. Thank you.

      Thanks! Check out youtube channel Shen Ye ( We took alot of his ideas). For the size use a measuring tape in your car to start with. Just get started!

    I'm fascinated with build/no-build built mini vans, but I don't camp, bike, hike, fish nor do anything in nature so what would I use it for? I want to get a power station, solar panels, iceco fridge, hd bucket, black magnetic curtains, cot, USB fan..... I feel like I can sleep outside Jessica Alba's house?
